Okay I'll do that. It's a foldable one that has a carry bag and everything so it won't take up much room anyway.

I talk to Luuka's breeder by phone and email regularly. She's a wonder. So down to earth with practical advice. She's a champ!

Okay cool! So should I bother bringing a crate? Maybe just bring a chair? She is pretty good at sitting quietly she won't run around or anything.

I have entered Callide Valley so I will definitely see you there! I am trying to see if there's anyone available to help me this weekend with a little bit of show training but it's probably a bit late notice. No big deal. I might see if your mum minds if I share her spot

My Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Keeps Eating Sticks
FranVT replied to Jason Cyr's topic in General Dog Discussion
My Finnish Lapphund loves sticks too, and just like valleyCBR's dog, she will choose a stick over the most expensive dog toy you can find anyday! They must feel awesome to chew. -
The later ones are definitely with the 55-200 lens, on the same mode. Yes I believe it does macka, I am still learning all the (seemingly endless) modes and combinations so I'll stick with it I guess!

Or like Luuka is saying 'HAI BIG BROTHER, DO YA MISS ME? HUH? DO YA? HUH?" and he is hanging his head in exhaustion Poor fella. He loved it though, the dog that belongs to our mate that's moved into my old place is very very stupid and timid, not the dog's fault but the owner's (don't get me started) and she doesn't know how to play it seems. Luuka and Atlas dug a lovely hole together right between my ex's legs (see the beginning of it in the last pic) they are a very good team

Now my main problem, again, is that the light is too much for Luuka at this time. Too bright. That much is obvious. And my focus could be better on some of them, obviously I need a faster shutter speed I think is that right? I tried to use the manual focus but yeah didn't succeed really I'm not worried it's all good practice!

Took some more photos the other day, the first few (sorry not sure exactly which ) are with the 18-55 and the later ones are the 55-200 (Nikon D5000). My ex and I are slowlyslowly starting to hang out as mates, he is a good offroad driver so he was teaching me how to drive my new Jeep on the beach safely Luuka got to use her tried-and-tested theory with regards to how to get the ball from a larger, faster dog: chase after them, when they get the ball bark as ferociously as possible then when they drop it in surprise GRAB IT AND RUN BACK TO MUMMY! (NB: My car is not really small, my ex is just super tall )

I bought the D5000 and your photos are a zillion times better than mine

Awesome Craig! Are you going by yourself? Can I steal some space at your gazebo?

Thank you so much Toohey. Of course we will continue to respect Jed's privacy Great news! -
Thanks guys! It's not that she plays up, she just plants her bottom! She trots out beautifully it's the being still that's a problem! She is definitely getting better, we are practicing a little bit every day She's not a baby (technically) anymore! Minor puppy now until July!

I like that there are like 122,000 views too -
I am so sorry to hear of your loss Mon. There are no more words

I'm showing Luuka at this show. Is anyone going? Are there normally lots of people? She still sucks at stand (no, I suck at getting her to stand) and I am considering pulling her out.

Yes I am so grateful to Toohey and everyone else giving updates from Jed's world - imagine if we didn't have these people and were just aimlessly hoping for Jed to post her return? *shudder at the thought* -

I can't even imagine how special Jed's first post is going to be, it will be one of the most special moments in (at least my) DOL history I reckon. I wish there was some way we could soothe the pain in her heart now that the physical pain is abating. -

More Photos For Feedback If Dolers Don't Mind
FranVT replied to FranVT's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
Sure! Those are actually linked from Photobucket but before I uploaded them I did reduce them in size quite a bit because otherwise they seem to take FOREVER to upload. My internet isn't super slow either. Definitely happy to make them bigger next time. Thanks heaps for the compliments JS! I feel like in that one the flowers get a bit 'lost' in the busy-ness of the background though. Should also add, these were taken using a 55-200 lens. I got some awesome advice from a mentor of mine (in work and life in general) who is a really good amateur photographer and uses Nikon. He said to not get too used to using Automatic setting because it'll make me lazy. Haha. -
I thought since I am getting such good feedback from you guys that I'd just make a 'learning' thread instead of a different thread every time I take a new set of photos We went to the beach yesterday Then I just took some photos around my dad's garden.

I vote this thread gets renamed to "The Waiting Room" :p Well I've been out to stretch my legs (and Luuka's), we went to the beach and I stood at the shoreline while she ran around being a mentalcase, I let the cool water wash around my legs and thought matching cooling, soothing, healing thoughts for Jed. Back now, washed my feet off (and Luuka's) and very grateful for the updated reading material. And the update, Toohey
