Awwwwwww I wish I was bringing Luulu she would have the bestest time!
-
Hi Fran, Training was fun - hope you enjoyed it. Order of judging is 1 thru to 7 in numerical order . It's not really possible to find out how many entries or if there are others in your breed entered.....it's a suprise :p You shouldn't have to be there super early. Thanks heaps Craig it was so great, what an amazing handler he was! Yep she is really coming along, what I needed were techniques to practice with! And now I have them so I am working on it.

Omg squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee @ that last one!
-
I'll be honest and admit first thing I thought was 'hanging' legs. Stupid morbid past employment
-
Ooh cool MM! I may take you up on that actually, the person I usually stay with is no longer in a dog friendly rental.
-
You'd better! If you're not there I'll cry! Hehe. I'll try to remember an offering for the Goddess
-
Okay I've entered. Do I now have to 'book' a bench or anything?
-
Yep I was just that st00pid, I didn't scroll down past the first page hahahahaha omg Okay so I've done an urgent leave request, if I can get the Thursday off Luuka and I will fly down Thurs night.
-
I am probably just st00pid, but I can't see where the actual group dates / times are? I need to know that before I can enter!
-
Oh wow isn't that kind of early for entries to close? I suppose they have soo many they have to have more time to process them
-
As mentioned in the photo thread, I will be at the next Adelaide DOL meet! I'm down that weekend for a hen's day/night thing. So I may be seedy but I'll be there! I had better practice my curtsey for meeting Queen Pele
-
I'm considering going  How do I find out what day I'll be on?
-
Going to have some show training this arvo Big thanks to conztruct for helping me with that! Does anyone know what the order is on Wednesday? Will I have to be there super early? Also is there any way to find out if there are other lappies before the day? Haha
-
HAHAHA! "Look at me mummy I'm furry too! And I have multiple colours!"
-
Well, actually, I did hope to use her for tracking So she is showing some ability already! I was so stunned when she had that stick I can only imagine what anyone looking thought of my expression
-
Scary I reckon! We've never done any training using the word 'stick' or anything so I don't know how she knew, I guess she just had a really kick-ass time yesterday! She also had to go a fair bit out of her way into the garden to get the stick..
-
When I get home from work I always take a very excited Luuka outside to the front yard to play / toilet / run around a bit. Yesterday's play included throwing a stick for her (I make sure I get ones with no super pointy ends and I don't let her catch them in the air). It was just a random stick, my dad's garden is huuuge (it's a native rainforest garden with a lawn at the top) and there are heaps of sticks, leaves, mulch etc in it. Yesterday when we'd finished playing I just tossed the stick back into the undergrowth where it came from. Today, we go out the front and I sort of nonchalantly say "where's a stick?" while wandering over to the letterbox. I turn around and she's in the garden, rummaging around, and she emerges with THE STICK. I knew it was the same one because I could see where I'd smoothed the end and it had a knobbly branch-attachy bit on the other end plus there was teeth marks in it. She didn't see where I tossed the stick yesterday, she was already tearing down the driveway when I tossed it back into the garden. She brought me the stick, dropped it at my feet and barked sharply at me while I stood there completely dumbfounded. What a clever girl!

Oh jazzie. What an enormous heart you have to be so full of sorrow but still have room for these poor dogs. I have no advice as I am a beginner to spitz coats myself but I am sending you my best wishes in such a difficult time.

I was not on the receiving end, I was on the giving end No more from me, as Jed wants to give you her own update when she is able to. That's not nearly as fun for you! Who's going to do yours? I'd offer but I'm petrified of feet Absolutely cannot wait to 'hear' from Jed herself, getting teary just thinking about it! -

I love the idea of the Waiting Room of Requirement (Harry Potter style). Fantastic As more furniture appears, so does more space in the room. I've decided that this room needs my office's Nespresso coffee machine more than my spoilt doctors *lugs it in* ... who's first? -

What Does Your Dog Do That Makes You Laugh?
FranVT replied to fiveplusone's topic in General Dog Discussion
Lol Puppy Sniffer, Luuka does that too, but with bugs. She loves chasing them around, and when she gets them she snap them up then gets this look on her face like "WHOOOOAAAAAA what is THAT!" sometimes she swallows them, sometimes she spits them out I also love seeing her running after a toy then getting to the end of the chase and plonking her bum and sliding along the polished wood Oh and when playing fetch with bigger/faster dogs, she runs after the ball/toy then when the other dog gets it first she catches up and barks 'ferociously' at them until they drop it in fright and run away. Then she picks it up and brings it back to me all smug-like ;) She is a crack up!
