I started using this a couple of months ago on my Black Newfoundland show dog, his coat has improved enormously. It is so shiny and healthy looking, I highly recommend this product. I only use a bit less then one scoop on a 65 kilo dog

Ok, I feel your frustration I really hope someone can help you :)

Ok thanks, this is an Australian facebook page you could try https://www.facebook.com/groups/181269748706545/210080589158794/?notif_t=group_activity

Newfymum what a worry I hope someone has some answers for you, someone mentioned earlier have you discussed this with her breeder? I am only asking as they may have come across this problem before and may be able to help.

Glad you went and had a look, yes I do agree the exercise yards are not the best but the air con is the highlight for my boy. I havant looked over the road, maybe I should look as well. Michelle

No I don't own Abbeyards, I was searching for somewhere to leave my Newfoundland and this is the one I found to suit me best. The air conditioned kennels were the big seller, my boy would die from the heat in some of the other kennels.
-
Bark Royal is the best but also quite expensive, I like the fact that Abbeyards let the dogs out four times a day not just twice like Barkroyal and all the others.
-
It defiantly has two different areas for the smaller and larger dogs, they are not kept together. Nor do they mix dogs in the exercise area,s they only go out with the dogs that live in the one home.

I cant recommend this place highly enough, its at Mudgeeraba and is air-conditioned and sound proof for dogs afraid of storms. My Newfoundland has been there a couple of times and I have now sent a few friends there and everyone is happy. http://www.abbeyards.com.au

Thank you everyone for your help, I have so much to go away and practice with and lots of reading thanks to Kerri. You all rock

Yes I do shoot in auto inside and the photos are usually crap to put it politely. I took heaps of photos of my dogs inside yesterday but when I look at the exif data it doesn't tell me which photos were shot in auto.( hope thats not a dumb statement) Love your photo very jealous, I also don't have a creative bone in my body

thanks just did that so hope these photos come through ok. I hope that didn't come across as me being awful, it certainly wan not intended that way. I still think you can master it, its just learning the Exposure triangle. It all became clearer to me once I could read the light meter, its a great guide to getting the exposure correct for the lighting situation your in at the time. No No No offence taken I was agreeing with you, my camera is capable of way more then I know how to get it to do. I understand that say an aperture of 2.5 there is only going to be a small area in focus ( like squinting) and an Aperture of 22 I am going to get everything in focus say like a fence line. And to shoot in shutter priority anything under 1/60 I will need a tripod. What I seem to have trouble with say if my dogs are running around and I choose a shutter speed of say 1/500 I still don't get a photo without blur. A lot of my photos are taken inside and I think lighting is a huge part of my problems I hope I am making sense. I took these yesterday This one is not good but he is cute so had to share

Message has been sent to snook Can people please tell me what method you use to add photos on this site? I always used photo bucket but they have changed a lot and when I added photos at the start of this thread only a link downloaded. I did it like I used to but it didn't turn out the same. I took a few photos yesterday morning I would like to put up tlc, you are right the camera really is beyond me but I have it now so will just keep plugging at it, thanks for your help

Thanks for all the tips I will print them out and give it a go, some of it is still a bit confusing but every bit helps
-
Definitely on Auto :D
-
I will keep these tips in my camera bag thanks, I understand the bit about Aperture but just never sure in the moment what to set it at. these tips will help
-
Thanks I have now changed it to spot auto focus it was on wide, I don't have any preset modes only P,A,S & M. The photos I have shown are of my step fathers 92nd birthday so they were really important, normally I shoot my dogs and food. Some times car shows and family events. I don't have a good zoom lens but don't want to spend anymore money until can nail this
-
Thanks for that but I did ask many times but a class with twenty people and one teacher doesn't give you much time. I just thought someone on here may also struggle with getting it all together and might have some tips.
-
Thanks persephone, I get email updates from Digital photography and have read heaps. I just struggle to absorb it, I will read your link thank you

I agree with a shutter speed that low I will get poor light and blurry but the camera was on auto and the flash was on if the camera thought it needed it. So I don't understand why auto did that? Its very disheartening after spending a lot of money on camera gear, especially when someone can take a better photo with their phone

Don't know why it didn't post the photos but if you click on the link it will open, remember these are really bad.

Sorry Kirislin I tried to load photos with my first post but it didn't work, I am having another go now. I hope these don't turn out to big, these are really bad but they are the most recent. Remember the camera was on auto with the flash attached Iso 320 24mm F/2.8 1/30 http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q182/mish13_2006/DSC00596.jpg Iso 800 70mm f/2.8 1/20 http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q182/mish13_2006/DSC00597.jpg Iso 3200 60mm f/6.3 1/320 http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q182/mish13_2006/_DSC0611.jpg iso 500 30mm f /2.8 1/30 http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q182/mish13_2006/DSC00614.jpg iso 800 45mm f/ 2.8 1/50 http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q182/mish13_2006/DSC00618.jpg iso 800 30mm f /2.8 1/25 http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q182/mish13_2006/DSC00660.jpg iso 3200 30mm f/ 7.1 1/60 http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q182/mish13_2006/_DSC0664.jpg

I always thought if you spent a lot of money on equipment it would mean you would get great photos, well I now know this is wrong. My equipment is a Sony A850 full frame camera and the most used lens is a Carl Zeiss 24-70 lens. I have been to a six week tafe course and about four one day photography courses but I still take disappointing photos. I find I still shoot in Auto and when I try Aperture priority I don't know what aperture to set it at for what ever situation I am in. I have five dogs and never get that shot that I would be happy to frame. I do have other lens but I don't change from the main one vey often. If I post a few photos I was wondering if anyone with photography knowledge would help me out?
-
I think I would be to embarrassed to do that? Hi Mish - I am new to photography and I think it would be a great help not just to you but to me (and other beginners) cause we could see the result and have people comment on why it did such-n-such and how to fix it. I dont think anyone here would be cruel in comments and i think that the feedback would be helpful. There are some awesome photographers on DOL and i have learnt alot from reading through the "photo challenges" threads as there is some great feedback on the photos in there. I think that others that have questions and wanting to know why things aren't working as they expect will contribute and add their photos too. Guess I am just saying that there is no need to be embarrassed :) Thanks Nushie, I will go through some photos and see if there are any I want to put up

I have done about three courses and they have shown us the exposure triangle but I just cant look at a situation and go ok this is the setting I need. Its either auto, shutter 1/60th or aperture of around 8. The I just get what comes out. Have no idea what hyperfocal distance is, will need to get the book out again. I just get frustrated and put the camera away because the photos are just blah blah blah Have just watched a few videos on what hyper focal distance is and I just get lost when they throw in all the measurements, never was good at maths. Thanks for your help I think I would be to embarrassed to do that?
