I buy the K9 Show Stopper from Pet Network on line
-
I live in Qld and have a Black Newfoundland that I was showing, I feed the things you are plus ShowStopper Coat and Skin Optimizer with I think has made a huge impact on his coat. I bath once every two weeks now I am not showing but it was weekly during show time. His coat is black and shiny, might be worth a try.

Hi Sharon, I so feel your pain because I have a similar problem. I have an 11 year old standard poodle ( the white one in my avatar) that won't eat. Oscar was diagnosed with Sebaceous Adenitis about three years ago. He now has his gums growing over his bottom teeth, which the vet assures me is not painful when he eats. Its all part of the disease and the medication he is on, but all that aside he just went off his food about six months ago. He always sat at 30kgs but has now dropped to 25kg and has stayed at that. I have tried Satin Balls and he wouldn't touch them, the hardest part is what he likes today he won't touch tomorrow. He has had all the blood tests and there is no reason why he has gone off his food except for what I said above. My vet has said give him what ever we can get him to eat, so far he will eat Frankfurt's,, Goodo's dog roll and tin dog food. I know these things are not the best but I feel helpless when he won't eat. Some times he will eat a brisket bone or a chicken neck, BBQ chicken, grated cheese. He gets a premium dry food but doesn't touch it much, tried Hills from the vet but he didn't like that. I have five dogs and he is feed with my other two poodles, he will happily walk away and give them his food. I will pay close interest to this thread and I wish you luck with the health of your poodle.

I totally agree, and what made me really angry was the lady looked happy when she was holding the snake. I would have been totally devastated and no way would any of my dogs be on a chain or left out at night. If you are not going to take good care of them properly don't have them.

Sorry but this is not true I have been buying medication for one of my dogs from California pet pharmacy for about three years. Have not had a problem

One of my dogs has an auto immune disease and I buy his tablets from California pet pharmacy in the states. They require particular things to be included on the script which my vet doesn't have a problem with but he does charge $15. He fives me five repeats so I then order six lots in one go so I only pay one freight charge. We have been doing this for three years, the only draw back now is the Aussie dollar is dropping

Beautiful photos and stunning horses

no because the bowls are not the dogs. I don't let mine scout out either, they finish and off you go otherwise it would be a full on brawl as they're too evenly matched. If you teach the dog to eat from the bowl in front of them and when it's empty that's it you don't have issues. How did you teach that, I have five dogs one eats out the back one out the front and the three poodles together. They swap bowls all the time.

God I have five and my feed times are nothing like that, I have work to do

I am not a good one to ask, I have five aged from 11,10,10,9 and then 2.5 so its a very busy house. I get up at 4.30 every day so I can walk the younger one first then I walk the other four together. I need to do this before I go to work, then hubby is home with them during the day and I am with them at night. They have access into the family 24/7 and they are quite happy to snooze for most of the day. I spend eight hours every second weekend bathing blow drying and grooming them all. Sometimes I wish I had less dogs because they do miss out on lots of outings because its too hard with five. My youngest one the Newfoundland is a show dog so he does get to go on outings alone. The cost of getting them minded means we have very few holidays, and the food and vet bills sure mount up. So my advice would be to stick to the two you have and if showing interests you go to a few shows and ask questions and see if its what you really want to do.

When I got my Newfoundland my older dogs wouldn't drink in any bowl he had used, due to the slobber. I brought one of these and they now have fresh cool water all the time and they love it. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/221298330796?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&lpid=94
