  1. 52k's or 45mins from camp tailwagers to Southport, it is a beautiful location and they have a small yard outside your cabin for your dog. Plus they have a large fenced exercise area just near the cabins.
  2. Try this one it looks pretty good and it says its dog friendly http://www.goldcoastholidaypark.com.au/ None of the ones along the coast allow dogs
  3. My god what if they buried the dog or had it cremated, I cant stand to think about it.
  4. I was thinking the same thing, I defiantly don't condone this in any way, it makes me feel sick. My thoughts are why was the dog so far from home? Perhaps he had been menacing another farmers stock. If that was the case they would normally just shoot it.
  5. Mine have stayed at Alidas at stapelton once and I was happy with them. http://www.alidas.com.au/ I now prefer to have a pet sitter stay at my home it cost less and my dogs are far happier. You could try this option, a good place to start looking is at your vet surgery. My past and present pet sitters were/ are vet nurses which is a double bonus.
  6. I just went in and watched the clip and have tears streaming down my face, so get your tissues ready. To have one tenth of her talent would be a blessing
  7. I saw a bit last night on Mike Munro but the sound was turned of on the Tv, she is an amazing photographer Have a look in this clip, click on the video of the old lady holding the baby http://au.tv.yahoo.com/sunday-night/video/-/watch/22368255/
  8. That is terrible, how devastating for the parents.
  9. TLC Coco is a toy poodle Yes Fibi is a chinchilla persian I sent her in to be groomed because she had a couple of knots. Instead of combing them out they just shaved her of, I was not a happy person that day. Fibi has spent quite a bit of time on our boat and she is very happy when it is under sail but not so happy when the motor is running. She sits up on deck with the wind in her face, its funny to see. Here is a couple of shots on the boat and checking out the scenery with my OH, its a bit messy behind the ladder, that is our storage area. Sorry to highjack your thread TLC
  10. Boys....... Edit: Mish 13... love one of your dogs....... :p guess which one.... ;) GayleK... your dogs are beautiful... I wont tell my OH Skipper is his dog and he thinks he is the best looking out of all of them. He is my fist ever Jack Russell and he has won me over, he is such a character and loves every body including other dogs. This is when I brought him home for my OH for Xmas On our boat trying to get the cat
  11. I am loving this thread, i am blown away by the quality of these photos, thanks TLC for starting it. By the way I love your dogs This was a family portrait we had done a few years ago. They are not looking but this is the four dogs with Fibi our cat just after a groomer cut all her hair off taking over our bed, More recent, getting snacks from dad again sorry for a back shot again This is an old photo,
  12. Fantastic news for both the dog and horses owners
  13. You really are a gluten for punishment with a Newfoundland puppy and a four month old baby. Do you have a crate? Maybe you could spend time down stairs with the baby and put him into the crate. That way he can see you and he cant jump all over the baby. I know you cant do this all the time but its an idea. We need progress photos please
  14. She is one very clever girl, I am amazed it only took you 15mins to teach her that.
  15. Flyingduster, you take the most amazing pictures of Paris. I love the last four photos, sorry couldn't decide which one I liked best
  16. I say no because Oscar is one of those nervous dogs and would most likely snap just to see if he gets a reaction. What I then get is dirty looks because I don't want to socialise with the other persons dog. I get the reverse people just let their dogs run up to mine when mine are all on a lead and get their nose out of joint when I yell at them to call their dog. One man even yelled out get your untrained dogs away from his and mine were the ones on a lead his was running free. It takes all kinds unfortunately.
  17. Great shots, love the butterfly one best
  18. I would have to agree with persephone i would be asking the breeder these questions, its best to try and keep them on the same food they have been on. I would so love to have a newfoundland but hubby doesn't like the drool. I need some photos please
  19. Love the Afghan and staffy photos, I owned an Afghan when I was teenager and didn't think they had it in them to do agility. (not the smartest kid on the block)
  20. I have four dogs and thought I would have to face a similar situation becasue of the two dog council rule. We had an offer from some friends to take our Jack Russell, he would have gone to a FANTASTIC dog home. Before I did that I applied to keep four dogs at my current address, which involved a home visit and contacting all my neighbors. I got my permit and my dogs will all live happy ever after. Your sister sounds like a great home but I would try and get a permit to keep them all together. The only risk you run is that they might make you re home three of the dogs. Not an easy decision, sending you a big hug
  21. This Sorry to hear your sad news
