  1. Oh he is so cute! Your puppy is very cute, I was wondering could you please give me some idea of what it is costing to fly your puppy to Perth. I might be needing to fly a puppy from Perth to Qld soon and have no idea of cost.
  2. Hopefully we will see lots of photos and posting in the Newfoundland thread real soon.
  3. So jealous that we have to wait another 3 weeks! But I guess it's what happens when you want a show quality pup. What colour Newfie are you getting? Hi Wadz where is your puppy from and what colour if you don't mind me asking? Hi Mish13 we are getting our little girl from Krystalcove and she will be a little black bitch. We are just a little excited about adding our new pup to our family :D I bet you are, I have spent some time with a breeder and her Newfs up her in Qld and I just love them drool and all. Cant wait to see photos of your new pup.

  5. How exciting, are you able to say where you are getting it from?
  6. I have only seen one male at a show that was to big for his crate so he was put into a pen. Just buy the biggest crate as the others suggested or build an outside pen that he/she can be put in when you cant be there to supervise.
  7. How exciting, you must post photos when your puppy arrives. Are you getting a boy or girl and is it Black?
  8. I would get in while the postage is free. It is only $25. I just went in to order the book and the DVD set and the postage is $35.37 is only the book free delivery? Yep, only what's on the "What Ships Free" page. If you are only ordering a DVD extra to the book, I would email them and ask if postage can be done cheaper. Postage on their site is standard according to sending in boxes, but if you want something small and lightweight that can be posted in an envelope they can usually do it cheaper for you. I got jump cups posted to me in an envelope for under $10, when the site itself only gave me the option of the $30something postage rate. Can't hurt to email and ask Thanks heaps I will send them an email

  10. All of the above and if you want to show your dog they need to be crate trained.

  12. My next door neighbour is a guide dog puppy raiser plus she has a guide dog that didn't make it. She has been talking to me about leading raw diet for a while. She also gave me some samples to try, the main thing that she says is the skin and coat on her golden retriever has improved heaps since feeding her on this diet. For me its just the cost involved in feeding four dogs on this diet, I will definitely be looking at ways to improve their diet since reading the articles in todays paper.
  13. Great shots, what sort of camera do you have? Looks like the dogs really enjoyed it.
  14. I was talking with a Newfoundland breeder recently and she uses www.petplan.com.au Would love to know more about the puppy you are hoping to get.
  15. I can read the old thread but if I click on Steves link I get this message on his web site Not Found The page you were looking for appears to have been moved, deleted or does not exist. This is most likely due to: An outdated link on another site A typo in the address / URL
  16. Whoops added the reply to this then my computer played up. I went to the K9 Pro post on page one of this thread and clicked on the link they put up. It came up with another older thread so I clicked on the link on there that was meant to go to K9Pros's Socialisation/ Neutralisation section but it said that page is no longer available. So I went directly to the K9pro web site but I am not sure how to navigate to that page on there web site?
  17. Just went in to have a look at that old thread and the link on there no longer works, it was from 2003
  18. Thanks for the tip I will go back and have a read, I trained with the German Shepherd dog league in Sydney many years ago and was a qualified instructor. Time to read up and change the programming in my head.
  19. It may not be feasible but would it be possible to rent your house out and you rent elsewhere until the property market picks up? I would be to worried for my dogs safety to stay living next door to people like that. Good luck with what ever you decide.
  20. I am loving this thread and learning a lot but another question is how do you learn to teach your dog this way? I am from the old school of obedience training with check chains and trained two shepherds to trial level. Where did you learn the true definition of neutralisation? Sorry if I am highjacking this thread but I am keen to learn how to do things better.
  21. Ness just loved the video and am pretty impressed that Ness stayed put. Kenz is a beautiful puppy and by the looks of it very smart. Well done
  22. Thank you for your answer, I would never let a pup be alone with my other dogs when I wasn't home incase it got hurt. All the other information is very useful and I will take it on board if I ever get another dog.
