  1. She's since introduced him to a female GSD his own age and they got on famously. He's so good with their little Shih Tzu though that I always felt he was a really nice dog, deep down. I'm hoping Jarrah's presence at Obedience will keep him calm and let him see that none of the dogs are a danger to him. I'm posting a photo of Jarrah I took this evening that just makes me smile. That's a new soft dumbbell I gave her and she thought she could hide beside that potplant and disembowel it. Wasn't going to happen!
  2. Beautiful! Thank you. It may interest you that I've been using her to calm down a very reactive young GSD. He was put into boarding kennels twice when young, obviously upset by all the barking dogs there, and all he'd do with strange dogs was lunge and bark. Jarrah either wanted to play or she'd ignore him, she's very laid back for a cattle dog, and he's good with her now.
  3. Thought I'd drop in an introduce, not myself, but maybe my dog, she'd probably be of more interest to ACD enthusiasts. Her name is Jarrah and she's just a pet/companion/guardian/possible worker. Is registered but I've no plans to show her. Amazing how high she can put her head when looking for cats. LOL.
  4. I'd do that if there was no other alternative , Archie, but that was how I used to feed my old male and he was struggling. I saw a marked improvement once he was on Hills JD. The RD was just wonderful, I actually discovered a couple of girls who'd been overweight really did have ribs after all. The increase in energy and activity was lovely to see.
  5. I opted for Royal Canin Mobility Support and my old dog has gradually lost his appetite. I used Hills JD, RD and UD. (4 dogs on different diets) Fortunately I can get the latter, but only canned RD, and no dry JD. I'm told that Royal Canin is going to be hard to get also, has anyone else been told that?
