Thanks guys for all your support. I spoke to their old owner and she said she did send the paperwork off. I rang the council but their computers were down so have to ring back monday. As for the grooming i have been useing the long stile rake looking comb that the spikes spin Sorry dont know what its called, that was for stripping tashas undercoat and for sam i have been useing the brush with the fine metal spikes i had to trim the matts behind his ears and then have been working to bush them out. They both dont mind standing to be brushed but will not lay down so its been a challange to get to there bellies. Tashes belly isnt to bad as it has been shaved along with the backs of her legs Id say for breeding. Thanks again for everyones kind words and support I will try and post some pics of these guys later so you guys can see who i am talking about.

Hi again Thankyou for all your replys. I have rung the people i got the dogs off and the husband said he is pritty sure that his wife sent the paperwork out. She is going to give me a call when she gets home. I will also ring the council and see how i go. I am not having to find then somewhere straight away. They are still getting well looked after. I just need advice support on what i should do and also any advice on helping these two samoyeds as in grooming training and building their confidence back. I am just lost. Ever since i posted this i keep thinking Yes it would be best if they went to rescue but then does that mean 2 dogs miss out because of me. I am trying to work out what is best for them. They still get fed they still go for walks everyday and still get plenty of cuddles and i am still getting through there coats. Sorry for rambling i am just still trying to work everything out

I am Just out of Nowra on the NSW south coast. I still have the problem i have not recieved their microchip papers yet they were signed and the lady sent them off. How long does it normally take to get them changed over. I have their book with their microchip numbers but no paperwork from the changeover. These dogs need work They have not much training, not house trained, if they slip their coller they run no recall. If you raise your voice tash runs. Sam also bit my partner 2 nights ago My dog is on heat so she is inside to keep them seperated we went out to feed the samoyed Sam tried to come in so as my partner tried to grab his coller to stop him sam bit him. I dont think he is agressive i think he just wanted to get to Jazz which was not going to happen. Dont get me wrong these dogs also have a verry sweet and loving side they need to be shown love and have some training and they would make someone a great family member. They both love kids and are not worried about cats.

Hi everyone, I need some advice/help on what i should do. I will try keep this post short as possible but try and list everything that has put me in this possision. About a month ago i took in two Adult samoyeds they were a breeding pair that had just been used to make money. I did not want this to keep happening so i took them to have all the vet work done and then rehome them. My brother went and picked them up for me while i was at work and when i got home i saw these two dogs in bad condition it made me cry. These poor dogs were skinny and badley mattered so i knew i had a big job in front of me. Sam the male had huge matts behind his ears apparently for when they were mateing for Tash to grab onto. I brushed them a bit but planned to have them taken to the groomers. Tash had also started to drop her coat. On the 6th of may my planes had been ruined My Mum Dad and three year old daughter were traveling back from seeing my grandfather when about 5 klm away from home a p plated came around the corner sideways on the wrong side of the road and smashed into my parents car. Mum did not make it in the accident and dad was airlifted to sydney hospital and my three year old was taken to shoalhaven hospital. I have now become my dads full time carer and no longer in the financial position to rehome these guys properly. I have failed these guys in many ways and dont want to rehome them how they are I need some advice on what others would do Sam id say is purebred but tash i doubt it She is smaller then sam. Has round eyes my guess is she is crossed with japanese spits. Please do not flame me i know i have failed them and feel bad enough as it is. I cant help what like has delt me and i wish everyday that i could change it.

i havent been on here for a while due to my own personal Loss last week My mother was taken away in a car accident my dad seriously injered and my baby girl also injured, but after comming on here and reading this it make me aware of how great everyone on here are. First and foremost My sencere condoliences go out to Jed and her family and hopes that she make a great recovery in this very emmotional and painful time. Now i would love to take the time to let you guys all know You are all fantastic. I know myself if it hadnt been for great friends and family i would not have been able to get through this last week. Jed would not be aware what you guys are doing at the moment but im sure when she is feeling up to it and sees how great you guys are it should give her the strenght to come through this hard time. Wishing Jed all the best and RIP to her beautiful animals, Play free at -

Thanks for your reply Today Jazzie was a pefect angle We had some friends come over with their two dogs and two kids and we had no problems with Jazzie at all She played great with the other dogs and kids, Shared the water with the other two dogs and even sat and had treats with the other dogs. Our friends dogs are 3yo male and a female pup a couple of days older than Jazz. We all went to the beach and had a great day. I hadnt been taking her bowl off her, Thats just what our vet suggested. I have been doing what you did holding them and saying gentle while she nibbled it out of my hand The problem where we live for obedience is we have one club and the only so called behavioust down here is bark bustersso i dont know what to do their. Thanks again for your advice

Thanks for your reply I wanted to take Jazzie to obedience, But i have been told to stay clear of our local club and i can't find one anywhere near hear. I did take into consideration into the fact she left her mum early and didnt know if that has added to her issue She has been well socilised since we got her, but all my friends dogs wont put her in her place (so to speak) She has been a bit funny around them as in Last week a swf dog barked she bolted ( i thought this was just her fear period) then this week a German shephers barked at her and she growled at him I normally dont take risks with the kids i didnt know she came out. I had been giving her all her meals in her creat and working on the agression with hand feeding and tasy treats thrown in her bowl while eating. The way i had been lead training her was. We walk, if she pulls she sits, then we start again. I took a while the first few times to get around the block but then learnt if she walked nicly she got treats and we could keep walking. It was just today i think it was also the excitment of going there with 5 kids that i had with me, she just didnt want to focus. She goes for a walk to the school and back everyday morning and arvo to drop the kids off so she is use to being around heaps of kids

Well i am having a few problems with Jazz at the moment and would like to know other peoples opinions on what i should be doing We did go through a stage of food aggression but i thought we were over that until last night. We had some friends over for a BBq and after everyone had finished eating i gave Jazzie some bits of sausage as a treat. I went through all of what she normally does before she eats (sit Shake gentle) then as i was feeding her our friends 3yo walked up and stood beside me and Jazzie leaped up and niped her face. There was no growl her body language did not change so i dont know if it was food aggression still or something else. I dont know if Jazz is going through this stage yet but she really seems to have a new found coffidence and trying to push the dominance • Rank & shaping (14-18 Weeks) Puppies teethe at this point, this makes them chew & people are good chew toys. They begin to realise the power of their jaw & should be taught bite inhibition (for pets) at this age. They can also start to show signs of dominance, good pack leadership should be exercised now, a large breed dog let go at this point can be quite a handful, yes at 18 weeks.. They can learn the skills they need to dominate you & excercise these skills when they get big & strong enough, it may be funny to watch a 16 week old pup growling at you, not so funny at 16 months & 40 plus kgs.. Keep up with positive training at this point; learning a new behaviour at this stage is easier than breaking a bad habit later. I really train often in this period, putting formality to the work the puppy can do, asking for more focus etc. ' She has started to jump on people alot more and also she use to be great on the lead but today she pulled all the way to the beach and back and then also when at the beach When i grabbed my 2yo arm to take her out of the water Jazz jumped up and nipped me So what do other people think is this a sign of agression or is she just going through a stage of being a nipper Thankyou in advance
