Hi, this is what I do -open the photo in flickr - right click and choose a size, I normally go for medium 500, click on the link for whatever size you are using - right click on the photo and choose properties (at the bottom) - highlight and copy the address (url) - in the thread hit reply, and click on the insert image button on the blue bar at the top - past in the url you copies and hit insert image. Thank you maverickMission....Wow

I am planning on taking a weekly picture of our Rural view, it is something I have always wanted to do, it might fit in. I so wish I had a puppy, that would have been perfect for this Presently I have an account with webshots......I might change to flicker for this, but I will get started with webshots. I have set-up an album for this 366days of 2012 http://community.webshots.com/user/newfs4ever is my webshots account Here is my first shot, taken today at sunset of our ghost gum
  11. Very interesting websites. Where do you buy it and how much to do you give a Newfie? I give mine a table spoon in each meal, which is twice a day....So far no weightgain. The stuff we use is human grade..........Augustine Approved also sells it in melbourne I think and yes it is fine for dogs according to Augustine approved
  12. Yep and good on Darren, the head ranger for Albury Council, for his usual no-nonsense down-to-earth response. I worked alongside(ish) Darren for many years when I ran Albury Dog Rescue. He is a very, very competent ranger who doesn't mess around - if he thinks you've screwed up he'll tell you (and I had my turn at the end of that serve ) but he knows dogs. We had a really nasty local dog jump our fence and bail Steve up. Steve rang the rangers and Darren came out and had absolutely no trouble getting him onto a lead and into the back of the van without need for catchpoles etc. Nice to know that the rangers in Albury won't condemn a dog unless its well-deserved but it really doesn't surprise me. I agree, it is great to have a dog savvy Ranger who likes dogs and knows how to deal with people too
  13. We have a dog, who's first owner moved overseas and left him and his second re-home took him to show, because he is a handsome dude, but he did no good in the Show-ring...back he was again at the Breeder.. I have two who were not "good enough" in the showring. Annabelle and Lukey......Lukey was shy and timid in the Show-ring, we worked on that, we are not show people at all. But just to proof a point we have gotten him to the point where he enjoys showing and has made his Championship quite quickly. He met his previous Show owner and she did not even recognize him and after she was told who he was tried to say hello to him and wondered why he was just not interested. Lukey is in his forever home now, even if he was no good in the Showring he would have stayed
  14. I have just started on the Coconut oil too (virgin pressed and organic).....I have had a lot of allergy issues with one of my dog and someone on another forum has been very helpful in some recommendations. They also have a web page on feeding/diet for dogs www.augustineapproved.com or facebook.com/augustineapproved. They were just very helpful. Here are also some links on coconut oil they gave me http://www.cocotherapy.com/products_coconutoil.htm http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org/article10612.htm
  15. Yes foam vomit +bloat to me to, but mine are giants. Well wishes, hope all is fine
  16. Not sad at all. We have been looking at caravans, camper trailers, pop top campers and even horse floats for a while now trying to find a floor plan that would best suit four large dog crates. I wish there was a company that made a dog trailer/ camper combination under 20K. Wow, we bought ours for 3K.....gutted part of it, put in the crate and bed and some new cupboard, adjusted the dinette and put in security screens on the door and crates window. All for less then 1K. And we love it. Ours is only 14' long and 7' wide, which makes it a dream to tow and park.
  17. Oh wow it sounds like you do some amazing things with your dogs!! Do you do exhibitions with them for the Drafting and water training? PS I am seriously jealous about the caravan. I am desperate to try and get a job that will fit in with uni so I can buy one!! Camping is just not cutting it anymore, The caravan is an old one we did up...hubby made a crate in the double bed area and we put the bed on top. newfie height....We will also be making an outside door. the dogs love it. And whilst the car gets hot, the caravan stays cool. We also put strong mesh over the mozzie screen in the door of the main area, so it can be left open and the crate has one window with secure mesh over the mozzie screen...it's all about the dogs Financially it was really cheap, because hubby is very handy and we have had so much fun out of it. we go everywhere and just stop, eat and sleep.....No setting up at all. I do a lot with the Drafting, last event was at Dogs day out at KCC park. Annabelle is very good off lead and loves it. and we "show off" our water work here a lot at Lake Hume...We are still perfecting the water Rescue with the current dogs, especially Katy. one of my previous newfies, Abbey was amazing
  18. I agree four weeks is everything...i will take my puppies out and about from the day I get them at a minimum of eight weeks. I will try to control the environment and who they meet a little. I choose vaccinated dogs and avoid dog parks, but i take my puppies everywhere. And I ask people to meet and greet my puppies. This is especially important if you want a social dog. I know that it would not be done with working dogs and I would accept that. But with a dog of your breed I would ask lots of people you know to meet and greet. people of every age, size and creed....So important to have lots of happy experiences. The same for dogs, all sizes and ages BUT...only known reliable dogs, do not allow your little cute puppy to get a fright. That is why I love belonging to a kennel Club, where i know all the dogs and people. it gives so many good opportunities to meet and greet. I also give mine the chance to hear road noises, cars, bike, planes and trains...Outside schools noises and all the rest. The only thing I was wondering, has your puppy been trying to dig out of any area, that could be the cause. We let our puppies choose their own level of exercise when they are young, we never walk them on lead, just free. we do a little training on lead, but it would be only for 3-5 minutes at the time. Your puppy is cute, good luck

  20. I am so very sorry for your loss......she was beautiful
  21. Seeing she is a GSD, have you had her checked for Pancreatitis...it is quite common in GSD's There is quite a bit on the web and there are diets and supportive treatments.
  22. Mine have choices.........One, my Annabelle will always sleep beside me on her bed. The others, in Summer, choose to sleep on our screened verandah. We have all our french doors open and that is the place of choice. Winter is a different matter. Bedroom gets a little crowded, except for Katy, who prefers the bathroom (coolest place)
  23. I am so sorry you are going through this..........She is beautiful and i am sure very precious to you and well loved When this was happening to me last year, I was given a poem, it helped me a little IF IT SHOULD BE If it should be that I grow weak And pain should keep me from my sleep, Then you must do what must be done, For this last battle cannot be won. You will be sad, I understand. Don't let your grief then stay your hand. For this day, more than all the rest, Your love for me must stand the test. We've had so many happy years. What is to come can hold no fears. You'd not want me to suffer so; The time has come -- please let me go. Take me where my need they'll tend, And please stay with me till the end. Hold me firm and speak to me, Until my eyes no longer see. I know in time that you will see The kindness that you did for me. Although my tail its last has waved, From pain and suffering I've been saved. Please do not grieve -- it must be you Who had this painful thing to do. We've been so close, we two, these years; Don't let your heart hold back its tears. --- Anonymous ---
  24. Sweet Tobias, just before Christmas last year.........We did not have this gentle soul for very long, but he broke our hearts when we had to PTS him. How anyone could have dumped him at the age of nine is just unbelievable . Such a sweet giving dog RIP Tobias, we still miss you I am sure all my other Rainbow Angels will have found him and they are all together
