Recommend A Person To Film Quality Dvd
Crazy Daisy replied to hilaryo's topic in General Dog Discussion
Maybe try USQ at Springfield? I was doing Media last year and I filmed three of my interviews at Durack and it turned out great. I'm sure there are many students there that would love the experience. Ask to speak with Ashley Jones. -
I know your vet said you don't need a supplement but I would still recommend you try the Value Plus Organic Iron and Mineral tablets with Zinc. There has been many cases showing how beneficial zinc can be with this problem. And it definitely helped with my Golden.

My OH had a cat called 'Door' because that was the only word he could say when they got the cat.

Career In Something To Do With Dogs
Crazy Daisy replied to Leelaa17's topic in General Dog Discussion
Reverse clipping is a technique gaining popularity. I don't do it as I don't see the point, and other reasons, but lots of experienced groomers are playing around with it. No it was just inexperience on her part and one of many, many things. I'm not a fan of reverse clipping either, especially with short blades. I've seen too many cases of ingrown hairs and bag regrowth patterns. -
I've been though this with my golden retriever. After seeing a large breed specialist I put her on adult dry food, too high protein is a major cause. The protein should be 20-22% and the fat around 12%. She also put her on Value Plus Organic Iron and trace mineral tablets with zinc. My bitch had to be taken off the floorboards and tiles and was to be on gravely uneven surfaces outside and carpet indoors. She made a very quick recovery and although she is not perfect (she is a show dog so important to have straight legs) she has made such a huge turn around. 3-4 months is the time it becomes apparent that there may be an issue.

Oh Yuck.....don't You Just Love Terriers!
Crazy Daisy replied to Baileys mum's topic in General Dog Discussion
At least dogs have an excuse if they don't chase mice. I have cornered a mouse behind the fridge, picked up the cat and placed him right on top of the mouse, he picked it up in his mouth and then looked at me like "what am I supposed to do with it now?" -
Career In Something To Do With Dogs

There is always a need for good groomers. Most people get into it not knowing the amount of physical work that is involved and leave pretty quickly. It was so hard for me to find good staff. I even had one lady come from interstate for the position only to give her a dog to groom and she shaved it backwards Supposedly she had 7 years experience!! I would estimate I employed close to 15 staff and the only one who was brilliant was a 16 year old girl who worked with me on Saturdays, she just had the gift with dogs and didn't care how dirty she got. And believe me you do get filthy and it is depressing seeing the state some owners let their dogs get into and trying not to be judgemental. I was working full time while training as a groomer working for free on my days off. It is a great way to build up your skills and to see if it's what you want to do. There are also the vans that go to dog shows on the weekend? Not everything is dog related, there are also food vans. I don't know what sort of profits they make though but you would be around dogs every weekend? What about in house pet sitting? If you can get up good references and are happy to travel to different houses that may work? I have paid between $25-35 a day to have someone feed, water and play with my animals when I'm away. Otherwise keep your eye out on animal related websites for upcoming jobs. Maybe start as a secretary in a big organisation and work your way up? Oh and after going through the last three weeks with a bitch in season and trying to keep my entire male away and calm.....breeding is definitely not for the faint hearted! Good Luck -
Daisy was named after Daisy Duke. She soon became Crazy Daisy once we got to know her  Archer's pedigree name is Phileni Ricochet, the breeder wanted Ricky , it was narrowed down to either Archer or Arrow. Aria was named after the lead character in the TV series Pretty Little Liars. I liked the name and love music so it fit. Angel is our pure white DSH. He was named after Angel from Buffy the vampire slayer. And for my next Golden I want Alice so sticking with an 'A' theme seems to be working for me.

Daisy collects Barbie heads. She grabs the Barbie between her paws and then pulls off theirs heads and puts them on her mat. I don't know what she has against Barbies body

Best In Show At Westminster (usa) V- Videos
Crazy Daisy replied to Jed's topic in General Dog Discussion
I loved this description Mita. The only part I would argue would be this paragraph. I still remember watching my friends Peke eat and put his whole face in the bowl, snuffling around like a piglet as he walked in circles around the bowl only to come up with his whole face covered with food. Amazing dogs. -

I saw this little dog on The View today. He is so handsome! My friend has a Peke and they are definitely on my list of breeds to own one day. They have such amazing personalities, real clowns. Thanks for sharing the links. -

I should add that she owns the unit and is approved to have a dog and there are dogs already in the complex. -
Hi all, My Mother would like to add a dog to her life. She lives in a one bedroom ground floor unit and has two courtyards (no grass). She does work but walks a lot. The dog will be an inside dog but will be on it's own while she is at work. We had a cocker spaniel and a Lhasa/poodle x growing up so something around this size would be perfect. She doesn't like the look of Daisy, my Shih Tzu , she wants something with a nose  She has a preference for no/low shedding. She loves the look of Westies, Cairns and Bichons. I don't think she really cares if the dog is pure bred or cross. She just knows I would kill her if she bought from a pet shop! In the past we have always had female dogs but I'm sure if the perfect boy was around she may be interested. As I am in Brisbane and she lives on the North Shore in Sydney I was hoping someone here could steer me in the right direction. I am keeping an eye out on dogzonline listings but thought I would ask in here as well. Can anyone recommend a good rescue group in her area or an adult/ex show dog looking for a forever home? I think a dog that has been assessed with being happy to cope in a unit would be good but she is also happy to put the time and training into having a puppy again.

That was great. Thanks so much for posting.

Congratulations!! I love the name Sarah for a Bully :D

Tell me about it. I sometimes wonder why I have Goldens.

I've never owned one but used to groom one and OMG the hair!! He was a real sweetie and was just fine with all the other salon dogs small and large. He was an only dog at home and very well socialised though. I hope you like brushing as it takes a bit to get through all that coat. They are amazing looking dogs. :)

Sounds like she is going to be one very spoilt little puppy. Congratulations, she is adorable. I also LOVE her name!

What Is The Most Popular Colour In Your Breed?
Crazy Daisy replied to Esky the husky's topic in General Dog Discussion
I think in Shih Tzu's the most popular colour is Gold and White. I would love a nice Black and white or Red and white one day. The solid blacks just don't do it for me though. Shell - I LOVE Zero's eyes. There is something memorising every time I see a photo of him.
