I would love to own a standard poodle one day. All the ones I've met and groomed have been complete clowns with great distinctive personalities. If well socialised from a young age they are great fun with other dogs. Don't worry about a haircut. Find a good groomer and they will show you that a poodle is the most versitile dog to groom. I've only ever met one Kerry, another groomers dog, and he was lovely. But I don't have any personal experience with the breed so take the advice of the others. My only other suggestion is maybe a curly coated retriever? Or a standard Schnauzer? I love standard schnauzers and used to groom the most delightful black girl. They are real characters too.

Beautiful photos and a great story to each one. It sounds like you have picked wonderful homes for all of them.

So sorry to hear about Reg. Sounds like you have done an excellent job looking after him. I hope he pulls through. Healing thoughts to Reg from me. -

I love the last photo. She has such beautiful eyes. -
Thanks for the link. They sound like really interesting dogs. Are there breeders in Aus? Not for me, just interested.

I am so sorry to hear about Rocco. I love all your photos and you captured the bond he had with Ralph so well. He was such a handsome boy. My thoughts are with you in this hard and sad time. Sorry again for your loss.

Great photos everyone. I've given up on that last one of Daisy. I just used one of the cool tones in LR but it turned out really green. I thought I would try again with a statue I love but can never get a good enough picture of. I actually like that it is really dark as it matches her expression, but what does everyone else think? -

This was the clearest shot I could get today. The dogs were so hot and were always inside and the light isn't great inside. I messed around in LR with it. Any hints? Could I have used a different effect? -

Very cute. I did my Shih Tzu Daisy like that once when I was having a baby and everyone thought she was a pug too. At least they won't shed like a pug. -

Meet My New Puppy - Name Decided - Meet Earl

I could look at photos of him all day. He is really adorable. Congratulations again he is so precious. ;) -
Conveinience maybe? Some people don't know where else to go but the local pet shop. Also impulse and not wanting to wait. People decide they want a puppy and they want it now and pet shops offer that. Very sad. :D

Oooh, congratulations. Love the name. Can't wait to see photos too. Have fun trying to sleep tonight

I'm loving everyones photos, especially yours of the beach Tlc. We are currently living the country lifestyle at OH's request but I will get my dream of being by the beach one day. Here are my two today. 1st is of Ruff telling me it's dinner time. Not great quality but it makes me laugh. And this is a photo of a flower in my daughters fairy garden. -
