Oh Erin, say hello next week I have often said to people "are you on DOL?" and if they say no it's a great conversation starter explaining what DOL is. Megs seemed to settle down at the end. I think after a few more weeks she will be fine. Freddy and Georgia wouldn't hurt a fly so she is safe getting to know them.

Thank goodness the rain held off last night for training. I learn't heaps. It was nice meeting you Sandra64 your little one is gorgeous. Erin was that you with the lemon coloured beagle? (is that the right name for that colour? )

The 14th will be my first time in the ring I am so nervous. With all this rain I haven't been able to do any training with Freddy. If you are around group 3 I will be the one with the very naughty Golden and looking scared sh#*less

Your welcome. But like I said I have never used them. Just trust your gut when you meet her. You'll know if she will be good or not. -

I just googled dog walkers and this ad came up. I have never used a pet walking servie but I think if you can arrange for someone to come around and meet you and your dog you will know if they are what your after or not. Bec's Dog Walking and Pet Sitters 13 Montserrat Place, Forest Lake QLD 4078 0433 545 274 Affordable and reliable dog walking and pet sitting service by experienced veterinary nurse. I agree that a nice hamper and some wine would be very generous. I also would go around and block any holes you think the pup may get stuck in in the future. Even though that is not your responsibility it is still showing your neighbours that you are worried their pup could get stuck again.

Breeders Taking Back Dogs They Bred
Crazy Daisy replied to ruthless's topic in General Dog Discussion
I just don't get people asking the breeder for a refund. Unless there is a health issue with the dog that isn't due to age. Why would any breeder be expected to refund the whole or part of the purchase price? -
At least you know it's comfy

Millie is adorable Bonnieparker :D

Thanks SparkyTansy, that's exactly what I did. Well I have sent the entry off, my retriever arrived yesterday and now all I have to do is start training for the ring

I think any intruder would have to be more worried about my Shih Tzu taking their leg off than my Shepherd x Well done dogs!!

I'm sorry to hear you still don't have an answer on what is wrong with Charlie. I have to say you have been so calm and positive through this whole experience. I really admire your determination to make sure you do the best for Charlie. He is really lucky to have you. Have fun looking for a new puppy. Choosing a breed is the hardest!! Well it is for me anyway

Thanks for that but there is just a section that says name of club for which entry is made. Should I just put open or champ in brackets next to it?

Hi, I am entering my first show and I have a couple of questions. There are two shows by the same club on the same day, one open and one championship. Open starts 1/2 hour before champ show. Can I enter both? If I have two entry forms where do I put if it's for the champ show or the open show? Or will they know from the amount I put in entry fees? I think I have this right but please correct me if not. I have a golden in puppy, do I just put 3 or puppy dog under breed class no.s? Thanks

How Did Your Pet Get Its Name?
Crazy Daisy replied to crazyboutdogz's topic in General Dog Discussion
Daisy - Shih Tzu, she has a cute bum like Daisy from Dukes of hazzard and she acts like a real blonde sometimes Ruff - Shepherd x . Kids named him. Need I say more. Angel - pure white cat. Yes, was addicted to Buffy the vampire slayer when I got him. Freddy - Golden retriever (will be here thurs). Totally his breeders fault, I take no responsibility. -
I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss.

Could it possibly be a grass allergy? I used to groom a malt x who was allergic to grass and had to wear little booties outside. Maybe try giving him a tablet, not taking him for walks for a couple of days and putting some booties on when he goes to the toilet. If it gets better great. If not, at least you have eliminated it.

Hi everyone, For those that don't know I have a 4 year old Shih Tzu Daisy and a 15 month old shepherd ridgeback x Ruff, both are desexed. On Thursday we are getting another family member He is an 8 month old Golden Retriever named Freddy coming up from NSW. He is a show dog from the breeder of my beautiful boy Ronin (who passed away 2 years in May). He has had heaps of interaction with other dogs and been to quite a few shows where he was socialised a lot. My two are very dog friendly. We have had dogs over to play but none that have then stayed. I have introduced puppies to existing dogs but never an 8 month old. Will it be much different? Ruff is overly affectionate to other dogs. He is a kisser and will lick any dog from head to toe. He is really hyper around other dogs and will play and run for hours if I let him. What is the best way to introduce them? Ruff and Daisy sleep in the dog run off the laundry should I crate the puppy somewhere else to sleep or let him sleep with them? I am home most of the day but will have to do the school run, should I take him with me? I want to do everything I can to start them off on the right foot. Thanks in advance Edit: Forgot the rules, must post photos

Where Are Your Dogs When You're On Dol?
Crazy Daisy replied to poochmad's topic in General Dog Discussion
It's early morning and my two can be heard having their morning rumble in the wet grass. Then they will run into the laundry and throw themselves around there for a while and it will sound like they are demolishing the place. After the school run they will hopefully be calm enough to go for a walk. -
That it is adorable.

My thoughts are with you and your girl. I hope they find out what it is quick.

I remember when we moved to Brissie from Sydney and it was just me, my 1 year old son, our golden, kelipe x and cat sleeping on blankets in the lounge room of an empty house. I think that was the best slumber party I've ever had. My OH had taken everything up by truck and we drove up the next day and mostly everything was unpacked. We've moved five times since then and each time the dogs are left at the house until everything is out and then come to the new place to help unpack and settle in. I normally put the dog out the back or in the laundry with large bones while everything is moving as it keeps them occupied and out of the way. Have fun moving. Glad it's you and not me.....again

That's such a shame. I would much prefer to check out things in the flesh to see how they're made than just buying randomly off the net.
