I was told also that you can't enter under a judge that has gone over your dog outside the ring? Is that true? e.g. One lady who shows in our breed also is becoming a judge. In a discussion about stacking she was trying to explain something to me and I asked her if she could show me on my dog, she said she couldn't in case I wanted to enter under her in the future as it could be seen that she is going over my dog. She showed me on one of hers instead.

Well done Miss B. That's a great start to the year. We have yet to leave the house due to the rain

Best Price For Mars Coat King?
Crazy Daisy replied to Crazy Daisy's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Thanks guys. I'm a professional groomer and get a good discount and it still worked out cheaper to buy from OS than through places in Oz. It will be great when it gets here. After nearly two months without a show and a slack mummy, Archer is in desperate need of a good trim -
I'm not going after what I heard yesterday. Good Luck Erin.............I'm sure we'll be able to catch up one of these days

I do sometimes. I have a non slip mat I put in the bottom of the shower just for the dogs. Daisy loves trying to catch the water as it falls. :D

I've already paid for it, otherwise we could have split the shipping! It was on international ebay. Here's the link. http://home.shop.ebay.com.au/i.html?_nkw=m...6.c0.m270.l1313 -

No worries I found one in the UK for only $46 delivered. Edit: $46 Aus dollars -
Wow, that sounds bad Sandra. All day I have watched the clear sky at home and been cursing myself for not going, now it sounds like I made the right choice.

Yes they're the ones that don't ship to Australia. Great price though. -
Where is the best place to buy Mars Coat kings from? I found a place in the states that sells them for $29.99 but they don't post internationally. Places in Aus seem around $60-70. Any suggestions where the best place to buy one is?

I adore your photos Bec. I love how you capture how close your two are to each other. Asha is gorgeous........ and look at those muscles Beautiful dogs and beautiful photos, congratulations.

My OH doesn't care what dogs I have really, they are my dogs and my responsibility. He just says she is not manly enough for him. He knew we were getting another dog but as I didn't get any input as to what breed I chose.

Good on you for being a good Samaritan. At least you drove her to a vet near by. I used to live opposite the Pennant Hills pub and one day during a storm our fence fell down and my Shepherd x got out, he was microchipped but had no collar on and someone picked him up and took him to Fairfield Thank goodness for microchips as I never would have looked that far away.

Nope they are my dogs. Although OH does look after them well when I go away he doesn't really have much to do with them when I'm around. He says he is still cranky I went out and got Daisy without discussing it with him. I say I did discuss it. I said "have a look at this gorgeous Shih Tzu puppy picture that a breeder just sent me". He said "looks like a ball of fluff". I said " I think she's my next baby". He said nothing........Daisy arrived four weeks later He says she is ugly but sometimes I come around the corner and he is there giving her a pat and sharing food. He had a Boston Terrier x Jack Russell (?) when we first got together, now that was an unfortunate looking dog

I also read that the showgrounds are a wash out. Doesn't bode well for a weekend of showing. At least I have a gundog who loves the water

Damn I just looked at the forecast for Toowoomba and it says it is supposed to be fine on Sat with late arvo showers and a possible thunderstorm on Sunday arvo. I think I'll reassess it tomorrow.

I really want the weather to be fine. This is my first show for 2011 and it's been almost a month between shows I'm having show withdrawals
-
I went to Ikea yesterday and they have long outdoor sun bed cushions for only $14.95. I got two for each side and thought I would just put an old sheet over it to protect it from my golden's hair. We'll see if it works this weekend.

Enzo is adorable Great photos too. :D

Are you happy to do any grooming or do you want a short coated breed? I'm a big advocate for the Shih Tzu. My girl Daisy loves to play with my kids, go on walks (when the weather is not stinking hot), her coat is very easily maintained when kept clipped, she loves a game of ball and will fetch till my arm gets sore, she is happy inside or outside, very friendly with other dogs and gets along great with my golden. I love her squished face but if you like more of a muzzle then Lhasa's are great little dogs too.

We don't usually get our numbers before the show in Brisbane, you just pick them up on the day. Sometimes I get my SAE back, sometimes not. I normally check if the cheque has been cashed but if I haven't received anything back and it is a show I have to travel to I normally call or email to confirm they have received it.

This is my boy Archer, Phileni Ricochet. He has just turned 7 months today. He only had one show in minor so far so I hope after the xmas break we can get out there and have some fun.

I agree. It is much easier to bring in another dog once the current dog knows the routine and you are happy with your training. It is much easier to train one than two.

What a great post and awesome photos. Spot in one lucky dog to have found you. Edit: grammer
