just be aware that high excitement leads to aggression...so they are prob playing fine together but it cant hurt to separate them when they get tooo high strung settle them both down (wait for them to completely relax) then let them play again doing that occassionally will stop either dog becoming aggressive during the game. also raz was the boisterous one in my puppy play group he was moved up to adolesent dogs early so he could play with the bigger ones at the dog park now he is nearly 2 and if i see another dogs excitement going too high i catch raz and do not let that dog near him until raz and it have calmed (raz was obviously showing excitement signals to the other dog)

im pretty sure raz will play with anything that runs and enjoys a fair game...not too pushy he does love to play with labradors (when they play back) and his bff is a kelpie, but not all kelpies are friendly towards him, he also loves german shepherds which is scary to watch him being pushed around by, they would be double his weight...

im gonna say he has teddy bear in him not sure what else though sorry

when raz was little he would run off with chicken wings and not let me anywhere near him, he didnt bark or growl though..so i tied him up one day and sat down with him and did what you did i had 2 chicken wings out i held both of them and held one out to him initially he tried to take it then when he realised he couldnt have it he started munching then i would say give and take it off him and swap it...honestly he gets bones when i go out now so im not normally home to see how he would go if i tried to take it off him but at the time that did the trick. maybe you just have to keep going with that technique (you possibly need more than one rep of it) and maybe if you can no longer hold it (when he has chewed it down) dont give him the end, just take it off him and freeze it for later or something sorry its not the best advice prob but thats all i can think of

that is an awesome story glad he has a loving forever home

Ok i have checked out the logan all breeds obedience club for their agility, and its small... just wondering if there is anything closer than W.A.G Agility at the gold coast and cheaper than B.A.D at carina? are there any other agility clubs i could look at...or are those my options?

i have medibank private health insurance for myself and they give a discount if you get your pet insurance with them also...so we have raz through medibank private on the silver plan (middle of the range) paying $12.88 a fortnight

Best Boarding Kennel In South East Brisbane?
dandybrush replied to Grace1979's topic in General Dog Discussion
I used to use Animal world pet motel at carbrook and still would except that raz is an inside dog and their dogs sleep outside (unless u pay for the luxury suite) and raz was barking all night long, but he absoultely loved the place couldnt wait to get inside whenever i would drop him off. So i am currently looking for another kennel for Aug. JJ i am going to inspect that beenleigh pet motel they look good did your dogs enjoy it there. I like it mostly for the luxury suites that have their own grassy run but i have to find out more about their exercise routines. I have been taking raz to Bark Royale at nerang but thats quite a trip and im not fully happy with the amout of exercise he gets considering how much im paying for the luxury suite there too -

i have nothing to help here i think you are doing all the right things (i failed at crate training mine) one thing i have learned is you have to out persist your dog, they normally get worse before they get better, he is only doing it to get out so he has to learn that the longer he whinges the longer he stays in there (like i said i think you are doing all the right things) i only started crating mine at about 1 year and I had the patience to out persist...but my OH didnt, so we failed, however he gets his timeouts in his crate and gets fed in his crate and can now stay in there for 10 mins with absolutely no whingeing, maybe longer thats untried another thing i did was when he was a baby i would make sure to lock him outside for maybe half an hour a day while i was home so he learned quickly that i can be home and he doesnt have to be with me i never let him in when he whinged and now i can lock him out no fuss. also he has no separation anxiety, i always give him something when i leave home and he basically jumps around the house with excitement for the treat till i give it and go haha

Hi there am just curious does anyone know the differences between ANKC and ADAA for agility?
-
I agree with what everyone is saying, you do not want to offend/upset your daughter regarding that relationship or she will cling to this guy more, just be there to chat about nothing/anything whatever she wants remind her that she can come to you about anything. Is she happy with this guy? maybe she isnt seeing his faults? could you point them out in an unobvious way?
-
Unfortyunately they have just bought a house together, so that isn't going to be easy, she needed to dump him before that. She also wants a pet pig & pythom, that isn't going to happen, this guy doesn't even want to have kids. does she even notice he is controlling her? has she said anything to you? or was she happy about the 2 jack russels? if you say anything negative about her bf how does she react?
-
wow that would be awesome for those kids
