  1. oh no too young thinking of you and sarge
  2. it wasnt too hard scribing in the jumping ring i was the second scribe there also huski
  3. oh lol i didnt know i could do that...do i just take them? thanx AD, i found it an awesome experience, i learned some of the rules, and the hows and whys of doing things, lol ill prob forget most of them, but its good to know that even once eliminated you can finish the course, well until the time buzzes and you can keep retrying the weaves too thats cool/handy, i dont think ill be so nervous when i start competing now :D plus i could always go NFC and just have a round or 2
  4. it would be easier if i had poles at home the only chance i get to practise is on tues nights
  5. same, raz sux with the weaves and the contacts :p but the jumps and tunnels in my ring he can do
  6. hey huski i was there too lol, i musta been scribing in the other ring than you, i reckon my boy could have competed in the events i saw
  7. sorry cant make this one have a good time
  8. thanx guys yeah i got it from wagsalot - I think thats their name im biased :D but i think my boy is gorgeous too
  9. raz's mouth is all pink, yet he got right into it the 1 time he's been put near sheep/goats
  10. lol he tolerates it i wouldnt say loves it but he bears it for the treats mmm i met a dog that was totally water obsessed, as in would go swimming and stay in the water for prob half hour or more, swimming around splashing on purpose then chasing the flying water. he wouldnt come back when called, i would be soo concerned of him drowning now thats an obsession you would want kill quickly IMO
  11. im starting to see raz acting as the adult dog too wuffles, he has turned around to tell a couple of ill mannered dogs off, i dont know if i should allow that behaviour or not maybe i should be pulling the ill mannered dogs off before raz reaches the tell off snapping point like ava raz will only play with dogs once they are his "friends" and he only has 1 "friend" i wish he could have more so he could play with others thanx max 1 i feel like my ball obsessed boy is a bit more normal now i might make a word up and do the same thing
  12. hey guys i dont jump on DOL as much as i used to here are a couple of pics of my baby in his new xmas t-shirt i was just wondering if any of your dogs are totally toy obsessed to the point they wont play with other dogs? its getting to the point where i should just not bother taking him to the park all he wants is his ball or everyone elses and he doesnt wanna play with the pups i dont know how to change that
  13. puppy sniffer thats a good idea, i was going to bring my boy along to that anyway...GG??
  14. thanx for pointing that out minxy, ill update my calendar also
  15. i take treats in all the time, its not your fault that someone else cant control their dog
  16. urban dog training is a dog training business, run by a doggy behaviourlist. I took my boy to their play groups, and he is very well adjusted and socialised, as well as watching out for naughty pups, they teach the owners what to look for, when the dog is getting too highly aroused and when to settle them and when to let them play, i found it to be a very helpful experience, something i take to the dog park with me every day, when im watching the play and deciding weather it is good or not i wouldnt go to any free puppy play group, only one that is run by people who live and breathe and work with dogs, however setting up play dates with pple and dogs you know to behave would also be just as beneficial IMO
  17. Please do seek some medical advice on it, I got painful sunburn (in London of all places!! ) and I do have some scarring from it. really?? well its day 3 now, it stings to touch kills me to wear a bra i might give it till friday then maybe make an appy with my dr i doubt there is much they can do, and i dont want anyone touching it :p Gosh I hope you are better soon! Sounds awful :p Thanks, we sure did :p Daisy was working ok, she was nice and focused which was good. It was a liiiiiittle bit boring in parts for us as we can do stuff like sit stays which is what they got us to work on for part of the class, but other stuff like shaping her through weave poles was a challenge even though we've done a lot of shaping before. The instructors really want us to work with a toy because they said that's how you get drive, but Daisy is just SO much more food driven than toy driven I don't think she could have more drive for a toy than she does for food. And I think a lot of people use food exchange moreso than food drive so don't know how to get drive with food. But I can totally see how using a toy would be useful, so I'm sure we'll give it a go at some point. yeah raz still sux with the weavers, i really need a set at home to practise with sounds like you had a good night overall
  18. it is bad, never been in this much pain over a sunburn :D hope you and daisy have a good night
  19. man im so bumbed atm :D agility training is on tonight, but i cant go due to very bad sunburn causing me too much pain
  20. mmm my boy is super focused on me, this is an issue i was sort of having, in that he woudnt work at any distance from me, however as he gets better and understands agility and the tricks more he seems happier to work at a little distance from me, i really just think with time and training once they understand what you are asking that the focus they have on you is not a problem, it means they listen to you when you tell them where to go, thats just my experience
  21. my heart aches for you im so sorry for you loss, but i know you wouldnt have changed anything about those wonderful 8 years you had together
