i would say yes, even with my older dog i introduce new biscuits over maybe 4 days to a week, and slowely increase the ratios

sorry i dont really know, i feed my pup at about 6 pm she then poos about 9 pm ish when we go to bed, then doesnt poo again till 4.30 am when i get up for work i think maybe the change in diet could have caused that, maybe you need to make it more of the original food for a while, and make it a slower transition my dogs eat grass, pple told me they have an upset tummy i dont really know if thats true

I hope you get some good news this morning, hopefully the vets have sorted her out

something i do when i notice the play is rough, is i stop them both and put them in a settle (just wait for them to relax then i let them go again) i do it as many times as i have to, if they keep going over the top they then get a time out or split up for a bit

i do agree his house his rules, also like fuzzy said, i'd prob just not go, or i'd leave the dogs at home
-
i know what you mean sounds like a decent compromise have fun, try to relax and enjoy

To be honest I'm not that bothered by her being out there, though I am a little concerned about the potential for barking. But we will see how that goes. As I have said several times, I'm just tired of such negativity regarding the dog. I wish everyone could be welcoming instead of feeling SO annoyed if the dog goes up to them for a pat. Jacqui835, I agree, I always try to make sure its pleasant to be around Honey. I've just had her bathed for maximum good smelling-ness. sorry, i didnt catch that part, however my spoiled pup is used to sleeping in my bedroom, so i dont really know how he would go out on the enclosed veranda, but if honey is ok with that then i really dont see it as a problem. however i do get your concerns for the negativity towards your dog and would prob just not put my pup in that position,

i totally get how you feel there is no way i could go somewhere and take my inside sleeping dog and leave him outside nope... in your situation i would either a) put pup in a kennel, or find a sitter or b) find a motel close that allows dogs? maybe a stayz home? or c) if possible stay the day then go home (if not too far to travel) in my situation my mum has oodles and my sister has an oodle, now my sisters dog is allowed over and inside, my dog/s are not allowed over really but if they do go over they are not allowed inside (cause they mault) : for christmas etc, if its at my parents in laws, or my grand parents in laws all doggies are invited and welcome if its at my parents house doggies are not invited now call me crazy but i actually like to spend christmas with my puppy too, they are as much part of the family to me as our human family are

every time i leave home i worry if im gonna come across a stray/loose dog, we have come face to face with one, that was scary, i kept walking and he walked off, and we have been run at and attacked by a dog got out of his yard, lucky raz was little then and OH grabbed him and picked him up :/ dunno what i would do now, i always walk with a ball launcher, i guess if i have to ill wack the dog with it
