  1. at this stage keira im free and will be there er...its gonna be very cold!!
  2. yep im always up for a play date...i can alternate my doggies
  3. she is gorgeous pickledroo!!
  4. thanx wuffles i am aware it is to do with her bones fully developing that said, my boy has a joint that clicks (could be from a sprain as a pup ) and he has stiff hocks...not sure if desexing him early contributed or if my playing too much or if he would have them anyway but there is no way of knowing if willow is done early if she will have any issues at all really
  5. thanx bccrazy, kelpiekaye, wuffles and rebelsquest regarding her safety i could crate her when im at work, that shouldnt be a problem, however if entire males did come sniffing my older boy could end up in trouble...if they jumped into his yard, i would hate for him to be attacked (i dunno the chances of that ) bccrazy as for your boy being quiet since desexing my boy was done at 4.5 months, i didnt notice a change in body shape, razzle is a thin boy and nope it didnt quieten him down hmm yes keeping quiet will be a challenge...
  6. nalaridge yes you can control the habit, i have been on a bush walk and have had a wallaby jump past my dog got up on his hindquarters and had a look but he wasnt going to follow, this is where i find a very good "leave it" command comes in handy, i have pulled him off chasing a rabbit before by yelling leave it really loud (he was at a distance to me) when you bond with your pup more and train more she will soon learn what you want from her, give her time she is a baby try as others suggest, long line when you see a rabbit or when she sees a rabbit, make yourself more fun, i normally give lots of treats one after the other until passed the distraction or i play with mine
  7. the pic didnt attach being on my second dog now, all i would recommend if your not already doing it is Crate train, i didnt do it for my first boy who is 3, and i do agility with him and he just cries in his crate, he is happier locked in the bathroom. but i am totally struggling now to get him to settle in his crate. with puppy number 2 who is 4 months now from day one she has been sleeping in her crate and settles quickly when put in even if you dont plan to do any sports or day trips where you might need a crate, i fully recommend it as it will teach your puppy to handle when she is locked up at the vets or for desexing something i couldnt recommend more, its just super handy i use the crate when visitors come over, or when i visit pple
  8. ok, i would like to know when do you desex or when you did do it and why? Is there anyone that does dog sports (for fun, not professional) who desexed their dog by 6 months and did it hinder or hurt them to be done that early? also is there anyone that has desexed more than 1 dog and at diff times and noticed a difference in behaviour/maturing? im leaning towards desexing my girl at 6 months, cause its what i have learned and when its done im not to keen on having her have her first heat either health wise is it bad to get her done at 6 months if im going to do some agility with her? (for fun only) also is it true that she will be puppy like in the head if done that early for longer than if allowed to mature more first? my baby is a 4 month old Koolie
  9. yay for your furbabies lets hope things keep on the up and up for you now
  10. happy birthday kudos to you for spending 3 wonderful years raising and training your boy i reckon at 3 is when the rewards of your training become more apparent he is a beautiful boy
  11. coogie can i ask about your medibank bad experience? im currently with them, but havent had to use them yet...
  12. thanx aussie lover, raz is only in the crate cause he knows i have food and thats where he gets treats, and he is sitting there and willow will go over and pester him so get gets up and walks out, he is only in there as long as im playing with the food no fight that i can see is gonna happen willow i would say is crate trained, i can pop her in and she curls up straight away. raz i would say isnt crate trained, he stresses and cries when in his crate for anything more than a time out
  13. can i ask if your dog is in the crate behaving, would you allow your other dog/pup to approach and start licking their face? or do you teach the other dogs to leave them alone when in the crate?
  14. oh no!! i was so happy to read that Indie was eating and happy again now for poor little astrid, gosh i hope she pulls through, and i hope Indie doesnt catch it, or the very least it doesnt affect him
  15. i hardly ever wash my boy, only if his coat feels rough or if we go to the beach (and he is all sandy) but im like you i love going home and walking inside and just smelling my house cause it smells like my boy
  16. thanx guys, yes huski i am the same i want them to operate independently of each other, penning may be extreme ill just do as you say ktb take them out separately for their walks and training classes etc. and as you said huski play with one at a time (and/or train) if i feel the desire by locking the other one in or out
  17. ok a question for you multiple doggy homes: now when you have a new pup do you make sure you have alone time with the pup? and put the others outside in penns or crates? or do you just let the pack stay together the whole time? and spend only kinda group times with them? basically i feel like i should make a pen outside somewhere and daily put them both in there at separate times so i can have alone time with the new girl and my baby boy for bonding and training purposes...should i do that? or is that me overthinking again? and i should just let them stay together all the time? except when im training obviously (however i see every interaction as a training one) so KTB basically do you separate your dogs at all? for alone time with each? or do you just spend all your time with both? i know...im overthinking again, but i really need to get into a routine with them, atm i just train whenever and do whatever
  18. ok im leaving home at 7am will be there prob by 8
