How fast does dog fur grow back?! Does fur grow back evenly? Charlie went to the groomers today leaving the house looking like this to coming home like this Not happy. It's not what we asked for.. we asked for at trim all over and not a fricken bald shave!! On the positive side is that he seems happy with less fur weight taken off him... BUT STILL... it's freezing!! I miss his fluffiness :D

poor terrier! -
- Charlie just came home with the worst grooming job ever. - I forgot to leave the little light on for Emmy in the bathroom, and it has been raining and real dark in Sydney. - I kicked Emmy off the bed last night when I was sleeping... i didn't realise that she was sleeping on my ankles (she was sleeping on my pillow the last time i checked). - locked Charlie in his crate and totally forgot I locked it and was totally puzzled on why he wasn't coming when I was calling him. he eventually barked to let me know that he was in his crate. This all happened in the last 24 hours Please tell me that I'm not the only bad dog owner here.

What Is The Best Way To Stop The Nipping/biting And Jumping
W Sibs replied to goldee's topic in Puppy Chat
8 weeks is not too young to start teaching her the rules. With my pup... the boyfriend yelps, but with me, I give her a firm 'Uh huh' and then immediately stop playing. I won't touch her or acknowledge till she calms down again... then give her a chew toy or something she can chew on (because she is teething). It's working for us. She hates being ignored from anyone... so she knows when we stop playing with her, she has gone too far. -

Do You Go Out Of Your Way To Give Your Dogs Alone Time?
W Sibs replied to Bubitty's topic in General Dog Discussion
My 2 are separated if they aren't supervised. They are on their own for most of the day when I'm at work. When I come home, they are more happy to each other other then see me... on the weekends, Charlie usually has sleeps over at his Uncle's house (Emmy's not toilet trained yet), but Emmy is going to start obedience soon, so she is going to be busy with that. Emmy and Charlie will go on walks together if the boyfriend and I walk the dogs at the same time... Emmy is actually really good when she walks with Charlie. Charlie is slow and steady, and she just happily follow him. By herself, yeah, it's always an adventure. But, at night, they sleep together. Charlie takes her out to the backyard to do their business when they wake up in the morning... they also play a lot together There is a day where Emmy is going to be alone, but I think it will break the humans heart more than it will her... she will get over it quickly because that's how dogs are. I'm going to admit that, another reason why we got Emmy is because we know there is going to be a day where I have to make that hard decision about Charlie, and with Emmy around, she'll going to teach us that it's ok to be sad, but life goes on... she's not the kind of dog that will let us mope around and be sad a lot. -

Depends on the dog. Charlie... from day dot. Best dog ever. Emmy... she is only allow the hallway and bathroom and laundry (which leads to the backyard), if we aren't home.

How To Tidy Up The Endless Supply Of Doggy Stuff ...
W Sibs replied to Tilly's topic in General Dog Discussion
Linen closest shelf - for doggies grooming things. as well as treats, towels, training stuff, medicine etc In study - there is a big crate of toys. In the bedroom - there is a box of toys. (they have a lot of toys because my friends get it for them.. or they are hand me down toys from their toddlers who don't like their toys anymore) In the living room - the dogs have their own corner of toys and things (use to have a box there.. but it always remain empty... so we just throw all the toys in that corner). I have hooks for collars and leash next to the front door.
