I come home, after being gone for a week, and Charlie just lays in the middle of the living room floor, looks up to see me, wags his tails and then continue eating his pig ear happily and Emmy, runs towards me, sniffs me and then bolts outside again where she was having fun chasing bubbles (neighbours were blowing bubbles and it was coming over the fence). It was only when I started unpacking when they started to come over to me only because Charlie wants to sit/lay/sleep in the luggage (one of his favorite things to do) and Emmy was curious to see what was in the bag.

I think that if your dog loves any food then it shouldn't be a problem on getting her back. Do you take your dog to obedience training?

Miss Em at 9 weeks Emmy at 6 months And she looks a lot more different now then she did at 6 months!!! She is must more fluffier now!

My 2 are perfect for me. Charlie is near perfect. one issue he has is that he doesn't like black labs.. we are working on it. Emmy is still a puppy but has potential to be an awesome dog. We are still training hard.

praising her like crazy is a rewards it self... thats the only rewards I give Charlie and Emmy when they come over now is praise, cuddles and pats... only sometimes I bring out the food or tug toy (that's when we are in a new surrounding and new environment, and i need to do something to make sure that what i have is better then the new distractions).

Says the boyfriend I'm away in Melbourne for a week and the boyfriend is at home looking after the dogs. I left him a list of all the things he has to do with the dogs and one of the thing is training (Chalie and Emmy are both on strict training at the moment). Got off the phone with him and started laughing... apparently, he has discovered that he likes that the dogs are listening to him :p He got them to sit and drop (both dogs doing it together) and feels like he can do anything now. He cracks me up

I'm going away for a week and every time I go away (for a week or more) I always take my 2 to go to the vets for a quick check up, to make sure that they are 100% healthy. It gives me peace of mind knowing that they are healthy and happy when I leave... The boyfriend (who will be looking after the dogs) thinks I'm insane and paranoid... (he used control freak too ) anyone else do this?

this pup and your friend needs a trainer/behaviourist to come out... this pup sounds very timid and shy, and you're friend isn't helping it by chasing it and all that. my old girl husky was very fearful and skittish when we got her, and it takes a lot of time and patience to get her to trust me to even pat her. it was months after we got her before she let me touch her and about 2 years after that before i can wrap my arms around her. this is with a lot of work and patience.

I like him. there are things he does that makes me go 'WTF!' though.

I have 2 of them... Emmy is always happy and her tail rarely stops. Charlie puts his whole body into it too..
