Thanks everyone Emmy definitely plays a huge part in Charlie's recovery. We took her to the specialist with us yesterday and the specialist saw first hand how much Emmy helps. Emmy was playing with a toy and decided she wanted Charlie to play too, so she walks over and invites him to play (her invites means whack him across the head with the toy)... while the humans were talking about Charlie's diet, the dogs were playing bitey face with each other or tug. We had to speak louder in the room over the growls and danced around the dogs while they pulled each other up and down the room The specialist fell in love with Emmy. Ask if we can bring her to Charlie's next visit :D

Took him to the specialist yesterday for a check up and the specialist couldn't say anything was wrong with him. Have to take him again in another 3 months because the previous xray (3 months earlier) shows that his right pelvis bones are slowly vanishing but not so badly or quickly that anyone is panicking about it. Especially that he is still very active and he doesn't seem to be in pain at all. She keeps saying that everything she sees him, she is always speechless with his progress. Especially with the fact that he is on NO medication at all. All his healing is all done naturally. Only thing we have to change is his diet. Less bones now. Too much bones is making him hard to go to the toilet now. So more dry kibbles for him from now on. Other from that, she told us to continue what we are doing for him. So, Charlie is healthy and happy I can't believe it's been a year...

sorry but... it's too funny

Emmy has learned how to herd things by spending too much time with Kelpies... Kelpie will to herd her, so she will try to herd them... she thinks it's a game though and not instinct. Her instinct it to chase and kill. Emmy (and Charlie) will have no problem killing a chicken if one comes into our yard. Both have high prey drive though, so it's to be expected.

What Nutty Things Were You Scared Of When You First Got Your Dog?
W Sibs replied to SeeGee's topic in General Dog Discussion
Charlie is my first ever puppy. Always had dogs but never puppy especially at 8 weeks old. I bomb proof my house!! Seriously even my friends with skin kids house is not as well protected as my house. Charlie was so small that we were scared of stepping on him, so I taught him to stay out of the kitchen, he had a bell on him, and everyone learned to shuffle while they walk. Charlie was an awesome puppy though. Never chewed. Toilet trained by the time he was 12 weeks old, never did anything to get in trouble. Easy pup to take everywhere with us because he was so calm and sweet (still is). Funny enough, I didn't worry about too much about his health. We got the usual vacs, he had a good diet, we had regular exercise. If there was anything out of the norm, we went straight to the vets for a check up, but there was usual a reason for it... like he had a little allergies that was cured in a week, ear yeast infection that was easily done. We were always told that he was completely healthy. I was more worried about if he was being happy then anything. I always worried that he was sad, lonely or something... so I always made sure that he always had something to do. So he had/have an active social life I did worry that he slept a lot but the vets said that's normal. Puppies sleeps a lot. When he got desexed the vet said that he will calm him more down and the boyfriend and I looked at each other and thought if he was more calm, he will probably be comatose or something. We worried about that too. -
ellz... seriously, I'm usually not a staffy fan, but there is something about your Woger that makes me melt!!! Or simply just cracks me up :D

A terrible diet which is why I was keen for her to change anyway. They were eating sausages, pasta and sauces, maccas etc. so not good I've just spoken with her again and the reason the bulldog doesn't get dry is because she just wont eat it. She's all good with other suggestions now anyways after we just had a chat. Wow.. that's an interesting diet for a dog! Maybe chicken and rice is good for her dog after eating all that junk food. Dog might have an upset stomach eating all that. Then slowly introducing her dog with dry food.
-
I would suggest to her to get a second opinion. What does your friend usually feed her dogs?

i went to the movies when Charlie got desexed, just because the house was too quiet!!

:nahnah: she will be ok enjoy your peace now because she she gets home it won't be so peaceful

Wow, pretty. So they arn't easy to get or do breeders not like the colour and try to aviod it for health reasons? I've never seen one before. My friend had one. Gorgeous dog but he was blind. It's not show quality and she did get him from a byb though ;) -
Yep. I agree.

OMG.. poor dog!! But it's too hard not to.... -
 RIP Pup You deserved so much better than you got. It was not your fault to have owners like that. You run free and be happy now over the bridge.

I've done it a few times. He will have fun regardless the weather. It's the humans who will get bored at camping when it's raining though. Oh, maybe bring a jacket for him in case he gets cold. Charlie likes his jacket at night.

It's a Cavalier on steroids!! I thought the same thing!! Stunning though! -
Hi.. there are a lot of reason why a dog digs and lots of ways to get a dog to stop digging. So I got these you these questions? How often does she goes on walks? Does she do training? What do you do you keep her mind challenged and stimulated?

Charlie and Emmy gets a bathed in the laundry sink. They get bathe whenever they need it. I can't really tell you how often. Sometimes they can go months without having a bath and sometimes they get one every week, it all depends on what we've been up too and where we go. I avoid giving Charlie as much as I can though... he only gets a bath when he stinks :p Emmy sometimes like jumping in the shower with me.
