  1. 2 small dogs... 1 big backyard. Emmy gets walked twice a day. Charlie gets walked once a day. My 2 use the backyard a lot. Both are very outdoorsy kind of dogs.. Charlie has lizards to hunt, and Emmy loves to run around, go into her pool and follow Charlie. Saying that, I'm outside a lot too and my dogs are usually where I am. I take my dogs for walks and outings a lot despite having a big yard, it's mostly for their mental health. New people to meet, new sights, smells etc.
  2. Happy Birthday Maxi!!!! This post is going to make me cry... I already did from poodlefan's post. I'm not thinking about that, my 2 are still young...
  3. Me too. That, and, there are a lot of crazies out there.
  4. :D i totally understand. I have a dog that suddenly decides he doesn't want to swim anymore and just stops (yes, he often decides he doesn't want to swim anymore when he is still in the water!).. if he wasn't wearing a life jacket, he will sink. But Ruffwear stuff are awesome
  5. Owners fault 100% Even if you do have a bomb proof dog, it's not a good idea to leave a dog tied unattended. You just never know what will happen. I have to say it's quite naive for the mother to let her child go up to pat a big, strange dog though. I mean, that's just plain silly.
  6. - learn A LOT about diets for the dogs - learning more about health issues - found a lot of new doggie website to go to buy treats, toys - changed my way in training my dogs. finding new ways of training my dogs - made some real awesome people who I can consider friends from DOL - i got introduce to many breeds through this website (eg, Finnish Lapphund) - I'm happy to learn that I'm not the only Dog Crazy person out there Thanks Troy
  7. Yep. Emmy does a lot. Charlie doesn't. He is his own person dog.
  8. If you should desex your dog? I agree with the others on, if you're not showing your dog then get him desexed. When you should do it? That's a personal decision. I had my boy desexed at 6-7 months. He still cock his leg up to pee, he stills hump and in new places he will mark (he never does it inside). He is turning 2 next month. Quick question: What does your breeder say about when to desex your pup?
  9. There are some dogs I know that annoys the hell out of me but, I don't hate them or anything. Just glad that they don't belong to me
  10. I was told, half hour to an hour. It all depends how much you fed your dog and what kind of exercising your dog is getting. With a pig ear... I don't see the harm in taking your dog for a nice walk.
  11. Emmy use to get hiccups early in the morning when she was a pup. She eventually grew out of it.
  12. Gladesville Vet are great (I take Charlie and Emmy there)
  13. OMD2 owns 2 of them Maybe ask her
  14. The only outdoor dogs that my family has ever owns choose to be outdoor dogs Charlie and Emmy are inside dogs.
  15. charlie and em has ruffwear booties too.. they are great! I have used these as well. I also use baby socks in them. Yep. Ruffwear has socks that you can buy for the booties. With socks, the boots stays on better and dogs are happier with it.
