  1. Did it for both mine too. Very interested in the results
  2. I don't particular had a hard time looking for a house with my dogs. But, it's an advantage to have 2 small breed dogs though. Both dogs have references and their own resume too. They are are house trained and trained too. It's all depends which area you want to live and how much rent you are willing to pay.
  3. I can walk both of mine together but i often walk them separately. It's my alone time with individual dog Charlie likes walking very slowly. Whereas Emmy we are walking in a very fast pace.
  4. hi!! come join the spitz breed thread.. there are a lot of Lappie owners on there. introducing your pup is very important, but I wouldn't take him to a park for it. Like poodlefan suggest... join an Obedience club. it will be more of a control environment.
  5. i have to admit that what i've read about them.. they sound awesome.. And, they are so damn cute! But I don't think I will own one... but will be happy to live with one... :D
  6. thanks so much!! I had a look and I couldn't fine this... i just forgot to do a search for it!
  7. thanks for all your replies yep, i'm a firm believer that a dog should be treated like a dog and my friend is a firm/strict owner :D
  8. No, I'm not getting one but my new housemate wants one and planning to get one. I don't know much about them, considering that my aunty has 4 of them but they aren't the nicest lot (too many issues). She's done the research on them but we/I want to know from people's personal experience in owning one. What are they like? Do they like other dogs? Are they considered an easy breed to look after and train? Are they really yappy? How can I convince her to name her future pup "Taco Bell"? ;) just kidding
  9. Owning a spitz breed... I can tell you that the Fluffy Spitz LOVES the cold ;) I have a Jap Spitz. She has a crate and basically a bed in every room of the house... but she will sleep on the floor or take the cushion out of her crate and bed, before she goes to sleep on there... I wouldn't worry too much.. just as long as Mia is comfortable ;) Maybe just put down a towel on the floor for her instead of bedding.
  10. Depends on the pup but, personally, I will wait a week. Going home to a new place will be enough excitement/stressful for the pup.
  11. I don't have a mentor although I do have a lot of people I admire. I've been lucky that I have quite a few people I can talk to about training or asking help with my 2
  12. thanks all for the wishes Charlie had a real lazy Sunday birthday day... got his maccas ice cream cone (he was nice enough to share with Emmy), got as much cuddles as he wanted, played with some toys but mostly he did what he loves doing most and that's just SLEEP I am seriously in love with his boy.

  15. Charlie is literally one in a billion - A medical miracle ;) CW EW will be able to tell you more, but he's a very very special little man. ;)
  16. He has a rare disease called Gorham Disease aka Bone Vanishing Disease. It infects his lower back and right pelvis. He got diagnosed at 8-9 months old. Everyone is shock that he is up and walking/running around...
