  1. oh that's awesome!!! he is a very handsome fella without the make up too :)
  2. How big of an age difference is Bodie and Zee? As long as they aren't fighting or hurting each other, I'll just stand back and let them sort out their own relationship.
  3. Personally for me... I wouldn't/couldn't do it. One of my favourite thing to do is watch Charlie and Emmy when they are in the backyard. They love it. Charlie chasing/hunting lizards, Emmy doing her zoomies and her enjoyment of just being outside. I often see Charlie and Emmy just laying on the grass outside sniffing the air or snoozing under the sun... it's nice to see. Saying that, both of them are inside dog too. Charlie won't go outside if the grass is wet. But, I agree with the others say about exercise, mental stimulation and training... dogs will easily adapt to apartment living.
  4. sending healing vibes for your gorgeous pup, Zoey. to you too
  5. pretty sure it's the same thing... also change address at the vets too.
  6. For me... that's normal Both of mine knows food/treat is not for free. Charlie is automatically sit and eyes on me waiting for a command. Emmy will start offering me every single tricks she knows to get a treat, then calms down and sits and focus on me to wait for the command to get the trick... she is a funny girl. My 2 rarely takes treats from people, so if they do, usually they offer a sit straight away but i'm not fuss if that person don't make them work for it.
  7. Male dog next. I don't want to get another female dog with Emmy around... she is too much female as it is Saying that, I've always prefer male dogs over female dogs.
  8. I used Sentinel Spectrum monthly and Frontline. I think people are worried about how much dog on dog socialisation your pup will get. At that age, they need to be able to play with their littermates. It teaches them how to be a dog is very important!! Good luck with your new pup and have fun with it Lots of photos please ;)
  9. They don't talk about the bad side of cross breeding though... some may have awesome temperament but bad health. Like really really bad health. Never really hear those people talking about that when they talk about how x breeding and DD are awesome
  10. Nope, neither my dogs are insured but they do have bank account of their very own. We put aside money for them in case of emergencies. But there has been a lot of thread on pet insurance here though...
  11. There could be another reason... I've one stalked a dog on the street to see where it was going. I couldn't park my car to follow it on foot, so I drove slowly behind it till I can. It end up going into a house and I pulled in, and the owner confirmed it was their dog.
  12. This is me too. My friends are having babies at the moment and i'm like 'yeah yeah' but if someone says 'I'm getting a new puppy'... I'm out buying little toys, finding excuses to go over their place to hang out with the pup... Samoyed puppies Japanese Spitz puppies too
  13. Get her a shell calm and filled it with sand... teach her to dig in there (make it more appealing to her by hiding toys and treats in the sand)
  14. Any spitz breed... not biased or anything Any puppy no matter what breed it is, can make anyone melt.
  15. i would say grass eating too... at least you're doesn't clear the room when he gives you the silent by deadly farts too.
  16. ... and now i have coke splatter all over my keyboard reading this
  17. beautiful pair... very happy that they are together again. hope they find a forever home together soon.
  18. How scary for you!! But glad that you, your baby and Lexie isn't physically harmed. Yes, I would consider that as an attack and I would of done the same if I was in your situation. There are idiots out there and sometimes we have to suffer for it...
  19. I definitely don't like humping dogs either and will definitely remove them upon sight. Will be very annoyed at those who think humping my dog is funny I'm just wondering whether this is something that needs works on.. and what I can do for it.. CW EW: do you know if it is more desirable that the dog tells them off or just stay put and asks us to help? No I don't but I think it all depends on how your dog tell other dogs off. I like that Emmy let the other dog know she doesn't like it and gives them a bump. She's not aggressive about it, just bump to let them know she doesn't like it. A bark and growl warning if they didn't get the picture and when she does that, that's when I step in and quickly stop the behaviour from the other dog - i do not care if the dogs owner gets mad at me, my priority is Emmy - and then Emmy and I walk away. Charlie doesn't bother fighting them off. He knows physically he can't, so I like that he comes to me for protection. Saying this, it's very rare that either Charlie or Emmy gets humped.
