  1. Ohh.. I've got that too when I take Charlie to the park I learn to always keep moving... never stay at one place more than 2 minutes (unless you're very far from other people and dogs). If you keep moving, your dog keeps moving too, as well, and always walk the opposite direction on the other dog is heading. The big dog will often go back to the owners and your dog follows you. My dogs can say hello but they don't play with other dogs at the park. Sometimes Emmy does zoomies and other dogs join in, but when Emmy does zoomies, she growls and for some reason that scares off other dogs...
  2. No offense but if a big GSD comes over to me while I'm carrying my Charlie and won't leave me alone, I will be piss off too, especially is you stand in a distant and do nothing about it. You should of called your dog off that person straight away, especially if you see that they are uncomfortable. I wouldn't hit your dog but I will definitely have words with you about it.
  3. Oh no.. i hope your dog recovers quickly and learn her lesson.
  4. They all did awesome!! The video didn't show how really bad the weather was.. it was pouring!! But everyone on the field all look like they were enjoying themselves and some dogs were really enjoying it... there was a GR who was so happy there was mud around because any chance he got, he dived into the puddle
  5. I think it's a good idea. If I lived close to you, I would join It would do Emmy a world of good to walk with other dogs and not play with them.
  6. Maybe take him to the vet for a proper health check?
  7. Deaf puppies I know are better than non deaf dogs. At least, they don't pretend they can't hear you... Charlie in the morning decides that he has gone deaf when I tell him to get out of bed.
  8. this makes me sick. In Vietnam, they've stopped eating dogs... not sure if that's the case in the country, but the main parts of Vietnam have stopped.
  9. Completely unacceptable in my house! Similar rules here as although I find them to be very different in personalities, they both seem to behave in relatively similar ways. This for me too.
  10. Yep. When Charlie was going through the worst of his illness, it was obvious he was depressed. Refusing to leave the crate, losing confidence in himself and rather just lay around and not try to do anything different. We took him for a walk in strollers, took him to picnics in his crates and everything but you can tell that he was still down. It wasn't until we got Emmy when he totally snapped out of it. It's as though she doesn't let him be depressed. Both of them a lot more quieter if the other one is away and always perks up when they are reunited again.
  11. :o I nearly fell of my chair laughing so hard!!
  12. Both my dogs sleep on the bed with me. Emmy usually waits till I go to sleep before she settles down, but Charlie is already sleeping in his bed by 9pm (usually after dinner)... he doesn't move from his bed till i say 'Bedtime' and then gets up, walks into the bedroom, waits for me to put him on the bed, where he gets himself comfortable and continues snoring. He doesn't get out of bed till I make him (now that it's colder now.. that's not going to happen till 5 minutes before I leave to work). Charlie doesn't function well before 10am Emmy is up when I'm up and asleep when I'm sleeping.
  13. That's definitely one of my fave too (although he is laying on the couch.. )
  14. I'm thrilled with the photos And yes she did. Especially the one with Charlie on the couch and Emmy running
  15. And some more... (I really really love this photo) I can't get enough of these photos
  16. Last Saturday... Ruth came around my place to take photos of Charlie and Emmy!!! I knew she does awesome work, but I didn't expect how amazing the photos turned out. I can't thank Ruth enough for these photos I'm soooooo loving all the pics!!! Here are some of the photos that I have to show everyone
  17. I have some My Dog tin food at home (a new deaf/disable neighbour is completely and totally in loves Charlie, saw that the dog food was on special and bought them a lot of them.. I didn't have the heart to tell her that my 2 don't eat tin dog food) that I can donate. I'll see if I have some spare coats and blankets to donate too. Just sent me the details :D
  18. What kind of qualification does this person have? Office work/ reception I'll see what my company has going. I know the company is hiring at the moment, but we are mostly looking for editors.
  19. What kind of qualification does this person have?
  20. Price of the puppy doesn't enter my mind. It's one of the last question I ask I only ask if I remember to ask (or someone reminds me to ask). Once I've decided that I want a puppy and I like the sound of the breeder... money doesn't matter. Charlie - he didn't cost much to buy him. Emmy - registered breeder an all that jazz. She wasn't cheap (she's worth it).
