Sure do Magnum are their favourite. We often leave some for them (they like licking the cream off the stick). Charlie gets an ice cream cone from Maccas after any specialist visits. They get ice cream on their birthdays too.

Hi! Welcome! First off, she is still a baby puppy. Some puppies takes a while longer to settle. Sometimes the best thing for a pup like that is to ignore the pup (it's very hard to do especially when they are so damn cute ). Let her work out what's going on herself and give her time to get to know her new surroundings and the new people in her life. Put her in a pen in the most busiest room and let her have her own space, but let her smell and watch what is going around. If she's not use of people, then too much attention will be overwhelming for the pup. She isn't going to understand any commands you give her, so there is no use of giving her any command :p If she is scared of your voice or whatever, then praise her without being verbal. Let her come to you Praise her by giving her some treats or play. BTW... pics is a must :D ETA: Oh yeah, what db said... training is a great way of bonding too. Also play.

Charlie barks at me and I usually stand up and stand in front of him frowning, he usually stops straight away. If that doesn't work, I hold his mouth close firmly yet gently and tell him to "quiet" and let go when when he relaxes. He can be a brat. He is a tad too spoilt

What Would Your Dog Sound Like If It Could Talk?
W Sibs replied to a topic in General Dog Discussion
Charlie will have a loud and booming voice.. Emmy will probably have a husky girlie voice but can put on a sweetie girlie voice to try to get her way with stuff. (this is on the based on how they usually sound and bark) -
My dogs have been sleeping on my bed from the moment they came home So much easier with toilet training when they were a pup during the night. The evening walks isn't so much for exercise for us. It's just a good time to get out and have a walk together while walking off our dinner. Also, the dogs have been at home most of the day.. it's good for them to get out of the house. The morning walk is very much an exercise (just 20 minute of power walking and no breaks).

Oh... the last 4 camping trips I've been on has been freezing and rained. Only Emmy, my JS, had the best time. Running around in the rain, getting dirty and muddy is one of her favourite thing to do!!

Ohh.. this sounds awesome!! I love going to camping with the dogs!! Ohh... i have a lot of camping gear too!!!

Evenings are very relaxed here. Basically, the routine is .... I get home from work, I change into my home clothes, then we have a massive play session in the backyard and inside. Then I start making dinner, and in between I will do some training with the dogs or do some trick training. I have dinner and the dogs are either playing with each other or doing their own thing. Then they get fed, while I do whatever (my 2 take their time with dinner). An hour later, we go for our evening stroll around the block and if Em is still hyper, we walk to the park and I let her do her zoomies around the park. We get home, watch tv. Before going to bed, we have another play session/training, then I have a shower before bed (usually this is the time where they bring out their deer antler out from its hiding place) and chew on that till I say 'Bedtime' and both get on the bed with me. Lights out and bed. Wednesday night or other nights that I go out, they get a longer walk in the morning. I get home, we have a play session. Then I get ready to go out. Then they get fed (they usually get a big juicy bone that will take then FOREVER to finish). When I get home, if Em is still hyper, she gets a quick walk around the block or we have another play session in the backyard. Then Bed time and lights out and bed.

Samoyed are huge!!

what the others said about having too much bones. Charlie is the same and he is on a high calcium diet. If his poos are white.. I switch him to fish for a few days, then it's back to wings or neck or frame.
-
Cut back on food and no treats.
-
that's awesome thanks for sharing

talk to a specialist.
-
Yes.
-
If in doubt.. always go for a second opinion. Ask for a referral to a proper bone specialist. So sorry to hear about Thunder though Poor fella.

It's not uncommon although people prefer to have one leg done at a time. LP is usually in smaller breed and some owners just prefer both knees done at once. Dogs are small enough to carry them around and care for. Bigger dogs will be harder to manually move them around and care for. Agreed!
