  1. Charlie- Nothing. Emmy - people (big and small), if she stands on a moving object (car, skateboard, stroller), going for walks at the night time (i think she is afraid of the dark). Emmy is prone to anxiety so if something out of routine happens, she gets really unsure and react towards it. I usually give her time to get her bearings and let her figure things out for herself. If she doesn't settle, that's when I step in and take her away and do some desensitising work with her or distract her her.
  2. I hope you're ok!! Sucks that you can't walk your Sasha The lady's fault and she knows it!! Idiots like her is what giving small breed dogs owners bad name
  3. I'm no help... I have 2 dogs and 6 crates
  4. I wont be 100% comfortable with this situation. I have nothing against older dogs correcting my puppy, but I will have to be able to trust/like the older dog (as well as their owner) too.
  5. Well.. umm... a lot I don't pay attention to how much I spend on them anymore.
  6. the paste isn't in the kibbles.. it's simply a teaspoon a day. a groomer suggest I do that and I found that it works.

  9. Hey! Tear stain usually goes away after teething or when they get out of puppy stage. I use the tomato paste (the one you use on pizza), a teaspoon a night and it seems to work on Emmy. But, her tear stains wasn't all that bad... As for diet, Emmy has been on a raw diet since she was 6 weeks (her breeder is a firmer believer in raw diet) and I continued feeding her raw when i got her at 9 weeks. I fed her everything including beef, and she was fine with it :D Come to the JS/Samoyed thread! You must post up pics :D
  10. Charlie and Em are a year apart. They have a close Big Brother and Little Sister relationship (hence their knows at the Sibs)... from the start, I had to establish a bond with Em myself. We gave a close bond One of the thousands reasons we got Em was for Charlie. She saved his life and gave him a reason to live (even if it's just to annoy him). Emmy absolutely adores Charlie. She is also very protective of him.. he just have to whimper and she will be at his side to see what's wrong. She is always goes to check up on Charlie. But, Em is going to be fine when Charlie goes. There is plan when he passes away, she will be there to have a chance to see for herself that he is gone. Growing up with dogs, I notice that dogs accept death quicker, if they have a chance to say good bye themselves. It's going to be that will be always looking for my Charlie and be completely heart broken when he goes, and probably be longer for me to accept that he is not around
  11. Did anyone ring up that idiot and tell him that the only teacup is something you pour tea into?
  12. This. Although if they do hit my dog, then I will get piss off at them. There are other ways of making a dog stop jumping. You are suppose to control your dogs at all time. If I know my dog is being stupid, then I will put him/her on a leash and only let the pup off the leash when he/she calms down. You are suppose to train your dog to have manners (sorry, using "puppy" isn't a good enough excuse to let your dog jump on a kid and that be OK). I will be seriously piss off if someone else dog jump on my kid.. just like I will be mortified if my dog jumps and knocks over a kid. I will protect my child and if a dog jump on my kid, I will make the dog stop ( will just pull the dog off and make it sit and focus on me).
  13. I feed mine anything I can get my hand on really... I gave them chicken feet the other weekend... Emmy thought it was a toy and Charlie lay there and stared at it for a while trying to figure out what he was suppose to do with it. Then he ate it because Emmy eventually ate hers and he was scared that she was going to take his.
  14. nawww.. that's he is sooo cute!! (i'm bad at taking white puppies )
  15. You mean you can get clothes without dog hair? Rumour has it that you can... :p
  16. if she's not use of raw food... it's something you have to introduce slowly to her.
