What would you guys think when you see a tall white aussie guy going jogging with a small Japanese Spitz? And, is not embarrassed to give her a cuddle in public. Just say, he gets hit on by a lot of guys...

I have a doogie booster seat for my dogs. It's awesome.

I am short asian girlie girl type of girl so it totally make sense I own a small white fluffy dog. Which, of course, I do. I have a Japanese Spitz. I also own another small cute and fluffy dog too, a Cav x Shih Tzu :D

Maybe he is having a growth spurt, so that's why he is sleeping a lot? All pups are different and grow differently. If you are really worried, take him to the vets for a proper check up and see what the vet think/says.

Happy Birthday Bitty Girl!! She is so adorable

Charlie sleeps after a bath too. He always had as a puppy.. in fact, he often falls asleep while i blow dry him. Emmy does zoomies but I think it's to release tension and celebrate her freedom.

Young Dog Behaviour With Kids - Interesting

Scent was the first thing that popped into my head too -
My 2 sleep on the bed with me (although, Charlie prefers sleeping on the dog bed on the floor now).. so I never had the barking or crying. As they get older, they get confident and gradually I make them sleep on the dog bed on the floor. I think as long as they are in the same room with everyone sleeping, they are cool. Although, saying that, Em prefers to sleep on the bed with us so she sneaks up on the bed when we fall asleep and I often wake up with her curled up between Mr CW and my pillow. Also tire the puppy out before going to bed and set a bedtime routine for them, will help too.

Yes, I believe they do have nightmares. A few nights after Charlie coming back from staying at the vets, he had a restless night where he was shaking in his sleep and his teeth chattering. Then woke up in a shock looking terrified and whimpering. It took him a few seconds to realise where he was and settled down. That was the only time I've seen him react like that.

I love my boys, they just suit me better. All the females dogs I've own have all been real bitches but saying that, I love my Emmy to bits and I wouldn't trade her for anything.

If you have a crate, just put her in the crate and let her be. Or put her somewhere quiet, so she can have a proper rest and not be stressed out. Can you call your vet and asked if someone can come around and pick her up? I think some vet have that kind of service. -
Both  Mr CW has bypass the baby talk and now sings to Emmy (my Jap Spitz) every single morning. Emmy is now 2 years, and he has been doing it for... 2 years. It is very sweet a grown man melt over their little puppy. Hilarious, but very sweet at the same time.

This. Hug to you and Bosco - I totally understand what you're going through. All I can say is, just to take it as it comes, because I believe that when the times comes, you will know what to do that's what's best for you and Bosco. He is truly lucky to have you in his life.

 nothing beats a welcome home like that!

I agree with what the others have said... get a second opinion.

Charlie thanks you all for his birthday wishes... he did have his ice cream cone that he happily shared with Emmy. It was too wet for lizard hunting, but he settled with a game of "Search" around the house and now chewing on his roo tail that he didn't have this morning.. i guess he was saving it for now.

I haven't posted on DOL for a while but I just had to share this with you all :D HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY CHARLES WENTWORTH They said he wouldn't make it to his 2nd birthday but Charlie did what he does best, and that's to proved everyone wrong. We just came back from an epic trip from Bega and Charlie is going to spend his whole birthday in bed recovering. This morning he got served breakfast in bed and was left with a kangeroo tail (his favourite treat at the moment) beside his bed (he was snoring when I left to work this morning). This afternoon, we will be going to his favourite park to do some serious lizard hunting and on the way home, he will get his birthday macca's ice cream cone :D (no, I don't think he is spoilt  ) He is the love of my life and every day with him is a blessing.

New breed in the police force POLICE in the western Japanese prefecture of Tottori unveiled two unusual new recruits - a pair of toy poodles, the Nihonkai Shimbun reported. Fuga, two, and Karin, one, passed the police canine test in July and would be put to work finding missing hikers in the mountainous region. The female toy poodles, one of which is gray and the other brown, also would take part in criminal manhunts, the report said. Poodles are an unusual choice of police dog -- normally, larger breeds are preferred. "Their trainers thought the dogs had keen senses and responded exceptionally well to commands," AFP quoted a spokesman as saying. The remote Tottori prefecture, some 300 miles (480 kilometers) from Tokyo, does not have a full-time police canine force and relies on about 20 domestic dogs with special training to help when needed.

I think it comes down to the dog/s and yourself, and what you want in your relationship with your dog. I don't think what you're doing is harmful your dogs, nor does it effect other people. People just think you're Nuts :p but if you're cool with that, then so be it. My 2 are so good and so obedience that it's easy for me to spoil them. The better well behaved they are, the more they are allow to be involved in the activities I do. Eg, Camping, shows, lunches at cafes, road trips etc. I love that Charlie has attitude, but he obeys me, he isn't destructive nor is he naughty. He just happens to bossy, grumpy fella that likes to voice in opinion on everything Like you Bubitty, I love that that he communicates with me (it's really important that he does anyway.. there is a limited things he can do on his own). Emmy is the sweetest girl She is so unbelievably good now that for her to put one paw wrong is out of her character, so if she wants something, I often give it to her too. I do NILIF, ToT and other training with them... at the same time, they are still very spoilt.

Wasn't she special......!!!! We are still talking about her and her complaint that her dog kept "shouting at her". . It was "swearing" and "yelling" when she was "cooking" his dinner. She was a real shocker! And her constant giggling... she really did my head in. I didn't learn anything but he is a great performer
