Well, Charlie is always going to be known as 'pup' or 'puppy' in my house. But, generally, after 1 years old?

Charlie got a small cheesecake with ice cream on top... He had a slice of that and the boyfriend ate the rest of it

So, I'm thinking about getting another puppy (or an older dog.. but I'll ask about that later on). Still researching and I'm at the stage where I'm going to ask A LOT of questions... so please bare with me I've been reading so much about them, that my head hurts... I just want to hear owners personal view and experience with this breed. The good, the bad and the ugly. What are they like as puppies? Health problem? Are they picky eaters? Hard to train? (I've had 2 huskies in the past, so I know how stubborn, independent and wilfull spitz breed are) Are they yappers? Good with other dogs? Are they placid? I've gone to a lot of website, but they mostly say how sweet, cuddlely they are and how they want to be with their human family. But, most puppies/dogs are all like that, right? Aside from Cavalier or Shih Tzu, I'm not a fan of much other small breed dogs. But, if I want to get a puppy, I will probably want a smaller dog and I've always been interested in Japanese Spitz. Just in case anyone say get another Cav or Shih Tzu, the boyfriend and I are interested in getting another breed of dog.

What a sucky situation, RL I think it's an accident. Offering to pay half is a very good gesture, but don't feel like you have too. Because, you don't have too. The owner learned the hard way what kind of mischief a puppy can get into. They should of checked out their fence for any holes and gaps before letting their new puppy roam free around their yard, especially if there are dogs next door. RL, if you knew that your dog gets excited easily, and you hear the neighbours playing with their puppy... you should of distracted your dog (especially if it was running up and down the fence trying to look into the other yard). You should of kept your dog under control knowing that he gets excited easily (i'm sooo sorry if that came out too bluntly ) If it was Charlie... I wouldn't ask my neighbout to pay. Because, Charlie is my responsibility and if he gets hurts like that, then I would smack myself because I should of been more thorough with puppy proofing the place. Bottomline is, everyone is responsible for their own dog. But, accidents still do happen.

this is pup first night home. i'm a light sleeper and Charlie seems to always adjust how he sleeps when i move. but after a few months, Charlie perfer to sleep on his bed. only comes up for our morning cuddles or when he is sick and sooky... LOL if your stepdad is uncomfortable and worried about squishing his pup, it's best if he crate trains it.

this sounds interesting.. I'm going to have to go look into this. I've had a look at this site before and I don't think there is anything on there that would help Charlie We were advise not to use physiotherapy with Charlie... due to the fact that his muscules are good. His back and hips won't be able to handle the exercise they will do for him. there is limited of this he can do... we are just walking him and doing some light swimming with him. thanks all

My brother and fiance got themselves a 9 weeks old beagle puppy name Gelly (pronounce Jelly) 3 days ago... very very cute. My brother has been planning and waiting for Gelly for 3 years. Well, I've been getting messages from him gushing over him. He sent me a sms saying that he is laying very still on his bed because Gelly is sleeping on him, and he didn't want to disturbed his pup (he loves that the pup loves sleeping ON him) And, my brother who's very particular about his clothes and shoes, didn't blink an eye when he found Gelly sleeping on his pile of neatly folded clothes.. instead took the camera out and started to takes photos of him. He taught Gelly how to sit the first night they got him... then called me up to brag how smart Gelly is about how quickly he learned how to sit. I knew my brother is a softie, but he has completely melted over this dog. Then, yesterday, I took Charlie for a walk and I saw a huge construction guy sitting at the park bench with a 10 weeks old CKCS sitting on his lap. He was still in his work clothes, boots, neon shirt over a singlet top and everything. The guy politely asked me if Charlie was vaccinated and everything, so he can introduce his pup to Charlie. It was so sweet... he didn't let his puppy on the ground, so he just held it while his puppy and Charlie sniffed each other and stuff. We started to talk about raising puppies, and he took out a notebook and pen and started to take notes!! The CKCS is actually his wife's dog, but he said he said that his wife has to get another one because this one is his It was the sweetest thing to see his HUGE man craddling a tiny pup, as though he was carrying a fragile bubble... awwww.... I simply love seeing a grown man totally melting for a puppy/dog... it's always make me melt :D Do you guys have grown men and puppies stories to share?
