  1. awesome shots!! I wonder if I can find a small enough bunny ears to do that on Charlie? And how much bribery it would take for me to get him to pose for me like that?
  2. OMG... how cute! how happy does that pup look when he goes *weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*
  3. omg.. those eyes!! I won't be able to say no to those eyes!! awwww
  4. Nope... i don't know there is an argument going on this forum half the time, unless it's very obvious. But, Troy usually remove that thread quickly anyway to have time to report (although I only just only realise that's what the report button was for!).
  5. Charlie doesn't have SA. When I leave work in the morning, even before I walk out of the door, he will either goes into his bed in the living room and make himself comfortable to go back to sleep or eating on his treat before I go. This is after our usual/normal morning walk, our breakfast and some play/training session. When I come home.. I get a happy greeting (no hyper excitement at all).. we have a mini play session (more for me then for him because I've missed him), but after that he is happy to be left alone while I change out of my work clothes etc. When he was a puppy... he would get nervous if I left (he is my shadow), but I ignored it. He has learned that I'll always come back home to him. I will leave for a few hours at a time at the beginning, and he use to whine for about a few minutes and settles down. When I come home, I totally ignore him till he calms down and then I'll invite him over to play and for cuddles.
  6. Charlie is my dog. He chosed me. From day dot... he followed me. He still follows me. He is such a mama's boy. He is happy to hang out with the boyfriend, boyfriend's brother and other family member but if I come into the room, his attention will be on me. He isn't as clingy as he use to be, but there are several time at night where he will stop playing with someone to check that i'm still around, come for a pat and cuddle. Charlie perfers me over anyone and always listens to me. He sometimes listens to other people but most of the time he just rathers plays with them, when he is tired of them, he goes and looks for me for a nap. But, I do the majority of feeding, I train him, bathe him and set rules and boundaries for him... so he respects me most.
  7. I don't brush Charlie's teeth. He eats a lot of bones (he is on a high calcium diet) and he has a lot of chew toys also, so I never really worried about it. The boyfriend just brust his teeth because he has fishy breathe ;) I'm going to check his teeth tonight though
  8. First... ewwwww sardine vomit! Second... that's awesome recipe! thank you!
  9. ok thanks guys!! The boyfriend assured me that it was only just a little bit (because Charlie has really tiny teeth).. I'll go make the boyfriend go out and buy Charlie some doggie toothpaste this afternoon!
  10. Just a quick question... is human toothpaste good for dogs? Last night I fed Charlie sardines and to my shocking surprise.. he ate it and not just one fish about a tinful of it!. Anyway, the boyfriend HATES fish, especially the smell of it. So, Charlie had kinda a fishy breath afterwards... so the boyfriend decided to brush his teeth using a little bit of colgate. I didn't know what was happening till I heard the boyfriend say 'come on, son, i'll let you lick my face after i brush your teeth!'
  11. she is stunning... I love the "I am so ready to go home.....you are keeping me up" photo... aww puppy needs a nap
  12. Happy Bday T!!! Hope you had an awesome day. Charlie sends you licks and cuddles
  13. My boyfriend recently bought empty capsules from the chemist.. he will put the table in that and then hit it in some Charlie's raw food and feed it to him... he says it works for him ;) I don't treat Charlie afterwards. Just cause it happens very fast and I don't want to make a big deal about it.
  14. There is no trick with me... I simply put it down Charlie's thoart. We do it quickly that usually leave Charlie giving me a look saying 'What just happened?' There is a thread similar to this not long ago.
  15. I knew I was taking a risk with Charlie healthwise or have issues when I bought him home. Aside from his rare disease... he was a perfect puppy and an awesome dog today. But, I was lucky that the person who looked after Charlie for the first 8 weeks of his life, is a good person and knew what to do with puppies and dogs. Charlie has always been a confident and happy puppy, and became more so when I started training and soicalising him. The health things sucks big time. Just heartbreaking to see this little fella limping around and in pain on his bad days (although, he hasn't had a bad day in weeks!). Living day by day not knowing if tomorrow is going to be the day that I have to make a very hard decision. Worried constantly about his welfare. I wouldn't wish that one anyone! Also, my dad will disown me if I ever got an animal from a pet store. My next dog is coming from a registered breeder for sure!!
  16. I agree with this. I don't believe a dog lover will ever sell a pup that young to save their other dog. It's just sounds odd to me. If she can sell one of them, then most likely she will start selling the others before they are ready to leave too.
  17. Awww... She looks and sounds like a total sweetheart. You 2 sounds like you belong to each other
  18. I also emailed her, just as a test, asked about how big it would grow, when it could go to its new home and whether the price was negotiable at all. She replied that $500 was the minimum price as the father was hit by a car and she needs the money for his vet bills. The whole situation sounds sad for all the dogs involved, and the poor puppy is being used just for the money I hope the dad is ok though, and the puppy finds a good home, especially as he'll need special care at only 4 weeks old Is it just one pup? Or is there a litter or them?
  19. Charlie use to do this... Then I started to trim the fur around his bottom and he stopped.
  20. WTF? It's illegal to sell a puppy at 3 weeks old!
  21. A sucker is born every minute! I'm trying to picture the combine breed and i can't see it.. The weirdest dog i've seen is a GSD x Pug... GSD colouring and body structure but pug face (sorta).
  22. I'll be going but not sure what date though...
  23. It was an awesome night! Congrates to all the winners!!! Unfortunately I didn't get to meet a lot of DOLer... even if I did, I wouldn't know it! I just mainly talked to the people sitting at my table and they are great! Next time... next year in Melbourne does sound HUGE though!
