Some does and some doesn't. My boy, Charlie, will let me know when he wants to go outside to do his business. He goes to the back door and paw it, if no one can hear him, he will let out a bark or whinge (usually whinge). If he does this, we know that he is busting to go.. becasue he is very good at holding it in. He hasn't pee or poo in a house since he was 12 weeks. He wasn't a normal pup

I remember Caramel, he was gorgeous. Charlie is 5.6kg. He has been that weight since he was about 6-7 months.. and we are going to keep him that weight for life now. He is solid muscules now.. so he feels a lot more heavier! He was under a kg when he was 9 weeks.

They are a small breed dog. 30 - 34 cm tall at the withers for females. 30-38 cm at the withers for males. Her mum was about 32cm tall from the withers. Her dad was taller at about 35cm from the withers. Emmy is tiny... right now she is 9 weeks and tiny (she's 1.9kg) at the moment.

OMG.. she is soooo cute!!!! that's all

People say that she looks like a Mini Polar Bear too!!! A mini update on Emmy: She is doing great. Typical puppy. Very curious about everything. She's more work than Charlie, but still very easy. She has an attention span of .0001 second though. I often have to remind her to finish her meal, because she will eat and see a moth and goes after it.. then I tap her bowl and she pounces over and continue eating.. hears a noise and must go investigate.. again, I tap her bowl and she pounces over to continue eating.. then hear Charlie bark.. must go investigate! ;) Despite her non existence attention span.. she knows how to sit, drop, roll over, wave bye bye, wait for her food and high five. Toilet training is going well with her... she knows she gets a lot of praises, cuddles and kisses when she does her business outside. When she does her business and before I can make a big deal about it.. she either run back to me and launches at me to get her cuddles and kisses or comes over roll on her back and gives me the look 'well, where's my belly rub?'.. cracks me up. She doesn't like staying in one position very long though... Going to a cafe with my friends with her for lunch was an adventure... lucky she is sooo cute. Her motto is: Can't stay long. Things to do. People to charm. Brother to annoy. Mummy to cuddle. Daddy to boss around. Chewing on Charlie's tail Big Bro and Lil Sis

BF had this exact problem in bed last night! Then got grumpy at me because it was my fault he was uncomfortable and couldn't move because 'my' dogs had him trapped and he felt bad for moving them since they looked so cute and comfy. Honestly couldn't have planned it better - all three on one side and a whole half a bed ALL to myself you're lucky! charlie takes half the bed and the boyfriend, Emmy and I have to share the other side... he is the only one who is the most comfortable and has the best night sleep. he is also the one who sleep the longest to but isn't the morning dog either.. he will groan and grumble if we make him get up to start the day.. he goes into the living room looking for his living room bed.

What Is Involved In A Thyroid Test?
W Sibs replied to cannibalgoldfish's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Charlie's Thyroid Test was done in USA (at a university in Texas)... i was told that we don't have the proper machine to check it? It all depends on what you want checked, I suppose. -
tlc: so thirsty but can't move... Charlie is using my leg as a pillow and Emmy is drapped across my other leg. they look so cute.

I'm toilet training a 9 weeks old now... it has been amusing. I take her out after play, after food and when she wakes up... in the day time, we just chill outside till she does her business. If we go inside and she hasn't gone, we go inside for 5 minutes, and we are back outside again and she will go. We are mostly outside in the daytime if she's not sleeping. At night, we get up twice.. she sleeps in bed with me and when she wakes up, we go outside. It's working well for us, she goes quickly and we are back in bed again sleeping. She is very quick at night.. just put her down, she sniff, does her business and basically launches in my arms for her cuddles and we go inside and in bed. This happens under 5 minutes I don't wait around for her to do number 2... she always lets me know when she wants to go. She sniffs a lot more, we go outside and then goes

Is there such a thing?
-
... apparently I own one ;) there is no convincing the lady that Charlie is not one... she accused me of being a snob and not sharing where I got him because I want to be the only one who owns a Mini/Teacup CKCS! WTF? Seriously, there are some crazies out there!!!

awww... i love the stories and pics!! Charlie and I were meant to be... he came into my life when I needed him the most. I was looking for either a Cavalier puppy or a Shih Tzu puppy, and my friend mention that she knew someone who had a male cav x shih tzu and should go meet it. He came home with me that day (he was 8 weeks when I met him.. the owner and I went to the vet that day to get him vac, microchipped and everything). He is my everything. First night home Emmy.. well, I just got her on Sunday!! The boyfriend and I decided we wanted to get a Japanese Spitz.. the only other small breed dog that I would consider owning. We were going with another breeder but she the first litter she had didn't work out... the boyfriend was feeling down about it and started to browse on DOL (to my shock and horror) and came across another breeder in VIC. Talked me into calling the breeder about a female JS she had. I called and the breeder and I just clicked, we kept talking and the more she told me about Emmy.. the more I liked. The BF and I drove down to VIC, we met Emmy and she was everything we hoped for and more. I am completely in love with her... she has added more happiness and joy into my family already. On the way home to Sydney

HAHAHA!!! more pics of Miss Emmy

thanks everyone.. Emmy has started to boss Charlie around now. Charlie takes her out to go toilet. They are so funny together.. whenever she has her puppy energy burst, he sits back and has the look on his face 'WTF wrong with you now?!' and when she sleeps, she likes to bury her nose into his bushy tail... he is getting use of that although when she bites it, he has to tell her to quit it. she does for 2 seconds. then bites his tail again, then I have to step in and give her a toy to distract her... but then she goes back to sleep.

just want to add a photo of Charlie and Emmy together

OMG.. talk about cuteness overload today!! good luck on your new fella!

thanks guys!! she is very cute and knows it. she is a poser!! the camera comes out and she sits and looks cute (very different from Charlie, who will give me evils and walk away ) right now, Big Bro and Lil Sis are sleeping together using the boyfriend's feet as pillow. Charlie already showed her how to use the doggy door

thanks... she is very very playful and very cheeky. Charlie is loving it!

Emmaline 'Emmy' Winchester wanna say hi!! She's 8 weeks old, it was love at first sight. She was as awesome as the breeder said she is. Very happy, curious, confidence little girl but she is also very sweet, placid and so gentle. Spitz owners who says that they are busy is not wrong. She did awesome on the long drive home (slept most of it), she is vocal when she wants something (usually attention). Charlie is very interested in her and Emmy is still bit weary but had a go as his tail a few times when it brush across her face, they had a romp in the backyard. They take turn following each other. We are giving it a few days and I think she is going to be a handful (she already has us wrapped around her little paw!) So let the fun begin!
