  1. When I worked at one too, the owners were much more stressed. We even had dogs who would jump out of the car and drag their owners over to us (the staff) with their tails going as fast as they could! Those dogs really made my day. Your dog will be well looked after, and in a smaller boarding kennels she will be much better off. Within a day or two she will be happy and know the routine of the kennel. She will have a fun time.
  2. Congrats again! Sorry, a bit late but, YAY for 100 pages on day 19!! Heres my shot for today. We went to Hanging Rock today, in Woodend, and I got some lovely shots. Took the dogs too! Then we went for a walk before sunset, and I got this photo and decided it was better.
  3. TLC, what lovely flowers, and congrats! How long have you two been married? TLC, near 100 pages, and we are just over half way through the month!
  4. I used to have a GSD called Kelly, and a rotty croos bc called Rover. I now have April, and am looking after a dog called Alexis. I have a rabbit called Flick, I love it.
  5. Look at the Super dog! Great photos Ness and Wolfsong! Heres my little man, Shaun. I was going to take a photo of the plums growing on the tree in my backyard, but then remembered the good looking plums are eaten by the dogs. They have learnt that if they hold on to the plum and walk backwards, they come off the tree and can be taken to the dogs beds to be eaten! Smart Pointers!
  6. My yard is probably 40m x 40m, medium size I guess. I can't compare, I used to live on an acre, before I had any dogs. My mum has a malt cross (3 year old), I have 2 Pointers( 21 months and a 3 year old), and my boyfriend has a GSP (10 months) that lives with me. The Malt cross, one Pointer and the GSP get walked daily, on lead and off lead. We play fetch, do some training and play zoomies when off lead. Once a month we go to Kepala, once a month we go to the beach, twice a week we go to a local lake and walk around that. The two Pointers run around all day, from 6am until 11pm. The malt cross sleeps on my mums bed and on the couch most of the day! ;) The other Pointer (the 21 month old) gets walked twice a week, on lead at all times. She goes to Kepala once a month and the beach once a month. She has weight issues so is crated most of the day. She also gets to spend time with the family andf has her own bed set up in the lounge room for when someone is watching tv, she does a bit of training on lead daily out the front of our house (across the road there is an empty lot, so its perfect for training with people walking by, cars going by, different smells, of course, all dogs when out there are on a horse lung.
  7. Uneven. One dog doesn't get trained due to not being mine and being a showdog, so trained not to sit... One is a couch potato and knows what he needs to know, sit, drop, stay, walk off lead, sits at roads, comes when called and does a trick called 'Army'. One is an idiot and just wants to run in circles and isn't interested in food. It was hard, but she knows sit, drop, stay, come, heel, spin, beg, touch, watch and leave. The last one is my training boy. I've had him two weeks and he now knows sit, drop and stay in both sit and drop positions, and we are working on heel. Oh! He knows to sit at all the roads we are about to cross without me having to say sit. He's good for a 10 month old pup. Considering when I train him, the other three dogs are running around the backyard or out walking with us. ;)
  8. PC, I just love Morgans eyes! Love the Aussie Shepherd picture! :D By the way, those snags were cooked by my gorgeous OH. I just took the photo! Love the wedding shots Bellatrix! Here is my boyfriend, don't let the facial hair fool you! He is only 18! He's a sweetheart, I have been in a terrible mood the last week or so, and he took me out to dinner not last night but the night before. We had dinner with lemon and lime bitters, left there to start walking down to a nice walking/sitting spot, on the way we stopped for coffee... Carmel latte frappe, yummm! It was a warm night, so the frappe went well! Then we walked down to the lake and watched the duckies, took a photo of that bridge in my last post, etc, etc, etc, walked gto block buster, rented a few movies and lay in bed watching them until about 3am. He wouldn't let me pay for anything! Edited for poor spelling.

  14. I can't remember if I did a day 9 earlier on in the thread, too tired to look back! Anyways, if not day 9 is above, near the top of this page, and one of the other photos can be Day 10! This whole, no work thing is getting to me, I can't remember the days. I hate Maccas.

  16. I can't choose between the golden retreiver, Kaiser, and.... One more to come. All were taken at Kepala today and have also been posted in the DOL Kepala Meet thread.
  17. If your worried about getting another failure, and can't find a pup... Sometimes registered breeders have to rehome some of their older dogs, this is sometimes due to needing room for the future pups to move up into the show ring. Of course, this breeder would have spent a lot on the dog, and would want to check you out Normally, all you would have to pay is for the cost of desexing. You would know for sure that these dogs have great temperaments. Always a thought.
  18. Oh Shell! Cody is gorgeous! If I had room, I'd take him home! Maybe my dad wants another dog. ;)
  19. I like how often the Sunbury Show is mentioned. :D i love going to the Sunbury Show to see all the dogs!
  20. One plastic rubbiish bin holds almost 40kg of Advance dog food for me.
