I have seen all these fabulous set up in people vehicles previously but I don't get out to the shows any more. I have bought a Rodeo Ute with canopy and would love to have internal gates in it so I can leave the door open. Can anyone point me at a supplier. Goggle has not been my friend

I once had to drive home from Centennial Park in sydney with a deerhound who had spend forever (pay more attention Mum!!) rolling in a dead duck which was disolved to grease stage. plus maggots. It was just ok when the car was moving but slowing down or stopped at lights and I had my head out gagging!! People must of thought I was drunk!! washed him about 1,000 times and could still smell it! I remember looking up from my book and seeing him tossing and turning with glee down in the sand - my first thought was: Oh - this CAN'T be good! Personally I prefer the poo eaters to the poo rollers! My walking park is apparently a human toilet. Lots of signs about about clean up after your dog! edited: for spellunk

I use both - Syd Uni is closer to Newtown than LRAH.

Looking for something to separate different value treats. I really like the leerburn (sp?) 3 pouch apron but was optimistic of finding something closer to home. Anyone got anything they can recommend. Yes I KNOW I can use a plastic baggy - but thats not the point!

I had some great ones made by someone on Ebay (QLD I think) - doggy jammas - I need to have a coffee and remember her name for you. I had to tweak her design for my elderly deerhound (stiff leggys!) and she was very agreeable. Try searching there - her ad had a pic of a staffy in a red suit. dead cute.

I am in a similar situation and use both polar collars which are great and polar mats. The dogs won't lie on the mats (ratz) but I strategically place them where they cool areas down. I put one on the roof of the (already insulated) kennel and it is the coolest spot around. I have one I hang above where the other dog beds are and it helps tremendously. Frozen iceblocks (I put stock in some) are big favourites! and a big frozen bottle of water in the water buckets helps as well. Shade cloth everywhere!!

+1 for what Cavalier said I have all three sizes - they all interact the same with all sizes of dog. They all have manners when out and about. Small dog syndrome is just poor socialisation (bad parenting). (same goes for badly behaved biggies!)

I think there is some difference in breeds as well - I have sighthounds and a few months ago one of my bitches just donated blood and was still woozy at close so I left her overnight. Most anethestics have involved a longer stay. The one time it was supposed to be twilight sedation and I took a dog home same day he was distressingly wobbly overnight - but back to normal the next day. My friends have bull breeds and they don't even seem to notice they have been sedated?! Yes the surgery is 'unattended' but in this case I know they are actually there at 12 midnight and staff start coming in for at 4:30pm. I know this to not just advertising as they once let me pick up that late after my plane was late and I have been banging on the door at 5:30pm with an emergency and it has all come good. But from what Fifi has posted it sounds like Wolfies might be tougher? - mind you she knows what she is doing!

+1 on the hiking gear I am in Sydney and haunt the travellers shops around Kent St for their sales - also 2nd hand on Ebay. lightweight, wiking, rainproof - all a good dog walker/trialler needs!

Derma order was there within days and everyone was very nice about it. Clearly under new Management. Yay!

OK I made it to PB Alex. yes they do have quite a lot in stock - not however any large breed Derma. So I have asked them to order me a bag and am now waiting and seeing. Was able to get some diet cat (hear catty cheers in the background) so big relief there. Seemed every other premium was on special EXCEPT Nutrience - go figure. Also when they quoted the managers name - it was not the person who has been posionous about the product so fingers x'd that experience is over.

I live next door to two who are fine neighbours. Not barky, no problem with my dogs thru the fence and not overly fussed about my cats. Well trained pair. They have two friends who visit - not as well trained and it shows!! As with all breeds - must be in the parenting (human!). re the coats, yep spring next door looks like a ginger snowstorm!!

stinky cheap smelly fishy cat food - mix with warm water and everything goes down...*where is the icon for v*o*m*i*t?!!

hi there, Spoke to Petbarn Alexandria today and they have good stock right now and are ordering fortnightly plus carry almost every formula. I will check that out this week end and let you know. I was in there 3 weeks ago and they had nothing! fingers x'd

actually I think you will find that there dry food is all still manufactured inhouse and not subcontracted out. Some of the Eukanuba-brand wet foods sold in North America are manufactured by Menu Foods Income Fund of Ontario, Canada (source wiki) *snort* wiki

I used to rate Euk but during the irradiation scare last year it became public that some years earlier the company had been sold to Menu Foods so instead of being a dedicated premium food producer now it belongs to the same multinational who added melamine to animal foods and export it to us and baby food in China - killing babies. Sad isn't it.

Yeh, completely understand that. Will check Petbarn Alexandria today (one on cnr of McEvoy St) re stocks and let you know status. +1 re the puppies sales. The Manager at PB Alex is extremely negative to the product.

Don't panic. Sydney Animal Referral Hospital (Strath) and Sydney Animal Hospital (Erko, Matraville, Stanmore) are completely different.
