Vet Recommendations Nsw Central Coast
Meea replied to tar501's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Yep I think he's at Wyoming(great vet but don't know about top vet ;) )Hugh Bain is great at Bateau Bay,Bill Wright at Point Clare,Katrina Woods at Killarny Vale the list goes on,all good vets.I used to manage a boarding kennel so I know a lot of them.Still think Micheal Jones is the ducks guts.Just my opinion. Good to hear. I used him with deerhounds for 10 years and he was the only vet up there at the time that knew what one was! -
If'n these don't all sell on the day I am in need of a set for biggish deerhound - should be somewhere around the dane size. she takes a large in Mukluk so If you still have some next week let me know and I will compare... Meea

Vet Recommendations Nsw Central Coast

surely Peter Nosworthy is still the central coast top vet? Is he still around coasties?? -
fyi I went to the grain free salmon (fish also good for skin and coat) Canidae too.

Ideally you look to the age of maturity for your breed but other factors do come into play. I have had large breed poundies desexed very young and had not noticeable difference but with a purebred dog which you can compare to a standard - then you can see and have differences. If I lived in a situation where my dogs were able to be well kept and exercised and kept safe I would go much longer before desexing but as I need them to be safe in the city/parks/street etc then I snip. Its as much other dogs reaction to them and I can't control that.

One of my dogs had a horrid smell for ages - a bath would only work for a few days and it was awful. Premium kibble etc. I changed food and guess what!?! fixed. last winter she didn't have to get wet for 6 months!! happy happy girl. Of course she is allergic to the premium food I can get cheaply and is not smelly on one I have to pay heaps for. love her to death!!

Hmmnmn the real bad news is that bookdepository has been bought by Amazon so I suspect the fabulous service and super pricing will son be a thingy of the past I have bought a few things from fishpond this year and they have been fine Mea

I just like winning! so pretty fringy or rozette is super. never ever seen a comet?
-
I use bark chips. Toss a few more bags in each year. no smell and comfy to lie on.

All of the above and if you need more this week there are really cheap electric warming beds around in the discount stores. I use heat bags and I do have one of those disks you microwave but found them expensive and they don't hold heat for much longer than the cheapie weat bags..

Did you have to pay the 80% and where reimbursed from the pet insurer? You have to pay the vet up front and THEN claim from the Insurer so you need that cc or bank account anyway. I should get reimbursed 80% because that is the policy I have chosen. You can make other choices e.g. 60 and 70% etc which affects your premium. I say should because insurers can't help themselves and all seem to have the need to deny some part of a claim eidted for spellunk

Calleigh came home on the weekend with a 5K bill - no way my bank account would stand up to that..

Royal Canin Supply Problems
Meea replied to SkySoaringMagpie's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I use Nutrience Giant Breed Puppy for the deerhounds - same reason - big bite kibble so they inhale less air. They always do well on it (wheat free etc) -
Does anyone have a current contact???
-
I have it on all three dogs and need it. Was recently surprised to find that nearly all of the pet insurers are actually the same company..same PO Box etc. Its a bit like taxis - you ring your local but get the same call centre! I have one in hospital now - 6 hr surgery and 5 days hospitalisation. I am very glad my credit card only has to wear 20% of the bill.
-
the entire Nutrience range is wheat free
