I use my toeses to work in the bicarb which I have used for years - I did start when the carpet was new though! ;)

The case resulted in retrospective legislation. Nothing about stopping the parents from getting more children you will notice!

Last year Penrith (seem to remember an Ev at E/Park?) had a show in the first week of January but I can't see it for this year - anyone know what happened??

Hi Travellers Where do folk camp for KCC shows?? Meea
-
They offered a replacement coat which I declined - Then they gave me a refund - which I promptly spent and then some on their site!!

+1 Clean Run were very reasonable about it.

Cry?! I very nearly wet myself!!
-
1+ for the ag show crazie and Yup sticky fingered too!! The plus is that so long as you have some way to secure your stuff there is generally heaps to see and do. You often get 2 people tickets with your entries or so many per dog entry etc

I have been choofing along picking up my 6 pts for Neuter and not bothering too much about group and in show lack of points until BNIS so hey NOW I need to start agitating about points for big wins

OK the final result is in: The Hyprkwl is completely shagged and showing its insides and this is one only wet and dry. I haven't even had it on a dog yet. I will be emailing Clean Run to send it back. Very disappointing. Heavens only knows what it will look like after a weekend in a show bag! The velcro just brushing the outer fabric causes a complete tear. Husky - how did you go with returning yours??? My Cool Champions have had several circuits of wash and wear and look like new. Guess you can pay for quality! Also I noticed in an early post Springy say they machine wash their CCs AGAINST instruction but I have just bought mine and it says that a light machine rinse and spin is the recommended way to set them up. Also lighter so the problem of weight which has been mentioned doesn't happen if you prep them that way!

more reportage!! OK it was 34 degrees in Sydney yesterday and the kyprkwl is STILL holding water and very cold. The cool champions are bone dry. So yes it was heavy but ....
-
When I got home last night and still this morning the kyperkwel is still full of water and very heavy whereas the cool champions have dried considerably hanging in the same area. But I DID NOT wring it out at all as I just soaked then hung it. It is very cold but still has too much water in it. I don't seem to have a thread problem but again did not wring it out which I will have to do before putting it on a dog. The instruction don't say to but I will do what I do with the champions and put it thru a quick wash and spin. The sets the champion coats up for a full day without any weight. That should also test the velco thread thing pretty throughly!! Will test at the double St GEorge at E/P on Saturday. darn the weather forcast is for fine and cool!!! never get the weather you want. ;) So far I would say it seems to work and as it is 1/3rd the price of the cool champions added to which there is free shipping from cool run until mid december really you can't loose. I bought XXL and only paid $44 and over $100 pls postage for the other.

Baby Puppies In The Challenge Line Up
Meea replied to Bullbreedlover's topic in General Dog Discussion
If fact I often wish I could keep my (rarer) breed out of the Group line up. Poor chappy gets so bored having to be good that sometimes he is destroyed for his age class. I would happily not line up before Junior if I had the choice. Smaller/faster maturing breeds would cope better I am sure. -
The cool champions are fine on the Deerhound coats Alyosha and I will be trialling the HyperKwl one this week end. I soaked it this morning and left it hanging (before reading about the thready stuff so will see when it dries) I will probably be carrying both kinds around for awhile - If you are around EP or CH come around for a 'dress up' Meea edited for spellunk

Grand Champions & (new Title) Supreme Champions
Meea replied to SwaY's topic in General Dog Discussion
frankly Stone tiresome folk like you who do not bother to understand the purpose of dog showing and continue to whine on and illustrate your complete lack of understanding of dog show rules and etiquette are the reason I personally love and use Troys ignore button *pushs ignore* ah peace -
I have had Rogz martingales for years and don't have any rust on them only $20!
-
so no sooner do I buy 3 x cool champions (which work great if leave a lot to be desired in the fit department) and now there is better and cheaper!!! Mind you I wore my (very fetching) cool champions one myself for about 4 hours in direct 30 degree heat last Sunday and it NEVER warmed up? edited for news:: turns out there was a fault in the 2xl shipment so not a fit issue - will be going back for adjustment

Best Way To Bandage/treat 'happy Tail'
Meea replied to melzawelza's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
deerhounds suffer from happy tail too - I usually bandange and put some sort of support over it. have had luck with a bit of hose and then tape under the belly for a while. -
anyone know if they are commercial made anywhere. No one handy at my place I have to pay for things

I'd be ignoring that comment GayleK .... what a silly statement for someone to make .... It's most defintely NOT rude. Agree! especially as you have given them the benefit of your entry for one of the days - that's one more entry fee than they would have received!! I agree! People have other commitments that have to come first. That's simply silly to be called rude for only showing on the last day. 2+ in fact I suspect it is only rude if you beat them!!

Reconcile/prozac For Dog - How Lethal Is This Drug?
Meea replied to Mollyrulz's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
they can and do, as per my post - I have also had anti-inflammatories written by the vet and dispensed via my pharmacist many times. they just put (dog) on the sticker. Also told that I can break the human tablets however it sounds like the weenie size of the OPs dog may be the issue. I have XL sized dogs so dosage is not difficult.
