Princess Poodle replied to Princess Poodle's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
You won't believe it...Denzel passed level two On to level 3 next month...yay. I must admit it does look harder, but he is doing really well. And I haven't tripped over my dog once -

Good news...Training on Monday was elevation night, and Denzel was the only one in the class to elevate . Some were asked to come back on Friday to try again, and some were asked to do another month, so I was getting worried, but we got through. Now for Level Two! Wish us luck. -
Silly question, but can I ask what you do exactly to stip a coat??? I have seen these kind of dogs at shows, but am not sure I understand what is done to make them look like that.

OMG, now I am worried...please don't let this happen  . He is usually good, but it would be my luck that he would be too excited to remember to come back. -
We made it, Denzel and I went to Obedience Training, and I didn't trip over him or anything!!! He was quite good. The instructor took a shine to him before the class, so he used him as the example, which meant he got twice as much training as anyone else , he fell asleep on the way home, big night . All went well, I hope we can keep it up and I don't make him look bad.

I have been reading up on recycling Poodle hair, as we seem to throw out a lot, and it seems a waste. Is there anyone in Australia who spins Poodle hair into yarn? I have found a few places in America, but would love to find someone here. I would also like to hear how other people dispose of all the hair...

Thank you for all the information, these are my pet hate. Disgusting! Is there ever a way to keep them out totally? I would think not, I guess we just try to do our best to keep them away from our dogs. There is always something to watch out for .

My poodle has gained his title in Confirmation, next month we start Obedience can't wait. Could someone please post what our first trial (one day) will be? Companion Dog I believe? I would love to see what we are one day aiming for.
