I wouldn't do it all at once. Moving home will be stressful enough on him. Let him settle in his new environment first and find out where in the new house he likes, as in a favourite spot here or there, and then try to get him to sleep there. I just got some DAP (Dog Appeasing Pheromone) from the vet for my dogs in case we have a storm again. Dr Harry talks about it all the time. It might also help in this situation I think.

Would the dry liver treats be enough? Would they give the same nutrients?

I think my dogs have told me that their preference is leather. As someone else said, don't get the soft leather as it will scratch. The hard surface leather is better. I think mine prefer it coz its cooler in summer that a fabric.

I have to give a little talk soon and am wondering what words are there that describe the sounds that dogs make. Especially a word or words that describe the excited noises that dogs make when they are excited. Words that come to mind are: Bark Howl Growl What else??? Nothing for the excited noises?

I think bones make poo hard and clayish. I'd go less on the bones, and add a little vege matter too. I give a slice of banana sometimes to my little ones. I look forward to two brown presents per day per dog. 95% of the time this happens on a walk. If I don't get four presents a day I start to worry.

This is great!!! Mine stir a bit by about 5.30am to 6am. I'm a light sleeper, so this wakes me. Then when I decide to actually move they get excited and come over to my side of the bed and want lots of pats. Isn't it great to be woken by your dogs.

Yes I think you are right, it might be a herding type of obsession. She is a kelpie cross something smaller. Its sort of a herding-stare not a aggressive staring-someone- down stare. yes I think its a remnant of herding. Good point. Thanks. :( I should get a photo and post it up. If it was truly aggressive, something should of happened by now, and they have been together many times.

Mine are shih-tzu type things and the the staring dog is a kelpie thing. The kelpie will just follow my girl around everywhere. wants to sniff but won't do much more. they have been around each other for hours with people present and nothing aggressive has happened. my girl can be the grumpy one.

I was visiting friends with my two dogs. They also have two dogs. One of their dogs will stare :dancingelephant: continuously at one of mine. She never takes her eyes off my dog. Just a fascination, no aggression, tail wagging, but looks at her constantly. My dog just ignores her. I think she wants to be friendly, but my girl pays no attention. What does this mean? Any interpretations ?

There are lots of Murraya paniculata hedges around and they have red berries on them. Not much about them on the web, nbut does anyone know if they are bad for dogs? Thanks

It seems most have had good results with Jointgard. Would you give it to a older dog who has no symptoms as a preventive measure? thanks

A friend of mine put some blood and bone down on the weekend and one of their dogs was eating bits and had to go a number of times. So I won't use that or dynamic lifter as one of mine loves to eat that. I go for liquid fertilizer. No chance of eating that. Thanks for the mulch answers. I can now mulch with confidence.
