I am currently considering getting a puppy. Looking at getting an Red ACD that will be family member first show bitch second. The breeder is a very good friend of a friend and the offer has been made that we could possibly have one if we want. Going to see her and the pups in the weekend and discuss it all as far as the money side of things goes. she has 2 girls available both Reds so regardless of which one picks us if it goes ahead we will be getting a red but i know which one i would like but we will just have to see how things go in the weekend..

my son and i had gone out to dinner at a friends place and took the dog with us.. left to head home and a wandering dog went to have a go at us and my big boofy boy got in between us and chased the dog away.. my son was terrified for weeks of dogs coming out of the dark and getting him when we were out at night walking home from my friends place..

thanks. hes not 100% sold on a breed yet but is interested in trying ACD's which hopefully wont be to hard to get our hands on. the lady whose dog he borrowed today (who also happens to be a good friend of mine and the person that is showing him the ropes) has a friend who breeds ACD's that has said he may be able to borrow one of hers and then hopefully if he gets sold on them we can talk to her about buying one for him..

thank you very much.. he is very proud of himself and so are we.. i think he looked rather handsome in his suit.. he has decided that he is more interested in breed specific showing rather than child/junior handler so that is the path we will now go down.. now to see if we can find him a dog of his own to show rather than keep borrowing other peoples lol

hope this is the right place to put this but i have to show off.. my 9yr old son stepped into the ring today for his first ever show and picked up a 3rd in the child handler and also showed the dog that got reserve best of breed in the open section in the ribbon parade... im sooo proud of him!!! During judging for open dog in breed in the ribbon parade.. Leaving the ring after getting Reserve dog in breed in the ribbon parade.. Competing for Child handler...

check chain and a horse lead rope as a lead here.. only reason i use horse lead rope is cos its softer on the hands. only time i use a harness is when hes in the car.
