  1. There are also working line Aussies in this country and they bear a very strong resemblance to the working BCs - much lighter and leaner, far more drive. If you're interested in working line BCs for agility, PM Vickie. She'll tell you that unless you are a very good handler, you won't get the best from one. For every one that wins, there will be another barking and spinning in frustration because its handler cannot cue it fast or accurately enough around a course. I think there are easier dogs for a novice handler but I'll defer to Vickie on that. No point in owning the Ferrari of the agility world if you're not capable of driving like Michael Schumacher. My working line BC is teaching me how to do agility
  2. Ah way to go Nik, you've got me wanting a Lappie now Seriously one of the most adorable puppies I've ever seen :D
  3. whats wrong with the dogs you have now? Bailey (golden retriever) is too lazy and I don't really have an excuse for Jess (BC), other than she already does obedience and agility (maybe flyball soon) so I don't really want to confuse her.
  4. When people come over, Jess will stand at the door and doing her crazy act and licks the air... She also goes nuts when anyone blows their nose.
  5. I'd love to do sledding with my maybe future sibe. A little dream of mine
  6. I hate these sorts of situations, and it's even worse that there's is really nothing you can do :p:
  7. I think I talk to my dogs more than I think. And I sometimes tend to have a high pitched american-ish accent when I talk to Jess, according to my friends.
  8. Oh wow she is speedy! Looks like she had a blast!
  9. We had a mock obedience trial today and Jess had her first crack at open. I was really surprised at how well she did, 'passed' everything except her drop stay (her first time doing stays for that long out of sight). But she did her sit stay no problems, which I swore she was going to break. And even her DOR was decent! Almost time for her to hit the real open ring
  10. Ah so close, ness! Did you happen to get your runs on video?
  11. That's something I like to hear!! ^ Next door has to two muttiest dogs ever, Then I think the rest of the street have non-registered purebreds, (apart from a couple other mixes), but I can't be sure where they're from. Many are pet shop puppies
  12. Way to go Jess and Darcy! That's definitely worth bragging about, Congrats!
  13. Bailey gets bones like that for when we're out at trials & he's home alone
  14. I feed supercoat, because Jess is fussy and it seems to be her favourite .

  18. Hi everyone. So I'm debating whether to enter my border in her first trial at the end of August. How did you know when to first trial your dogs?
  19. RIP puppy. What a horrible thing to happen
  20. Any thing that is tuggable will be tugged by my dogs! But they loooove their fleece with faux fur
