Count me in Jess will be my model! Once I get around to fixing up my flickr, I'll post the link . ETA; link! http://www.flickr.com/photos/taylahjane/se...57625717532456/ I sort of started this week, but I'm calling the photo week 0. And then I'll (officially) start week 1 on Monday.

I was thinking about it.. but I don't know. Jess could do it herself, easy - but I'm not sure if I want to ride a bike that far ETA; Can they wear a harness for the test?

Pork Pies Or Lies The General Public Tell Us

When my BC was about 4 months old we had family come over... "Aww I didn't know they bred them in miniture?!" "Umm.. 'they' don't. Anyway, she's only a puppy." "Oh but she won't grow anymore!" Another time at my Aunt/Uncle's place. "How old is she?" "12 weeks." "She won't get any bigger." Was there a reason no one thought my puppy would grow!! -
I walk Bailey on a flat collar and Jess on a harness. She can walk nicely on a collar but when I'm walking her I just let her be feral, which isn't too good her neck.

Different/unusual Breeds In Dog Sports
Tay. replied to huski's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
You should !!! -
Thinking I might try this next. My club has these weavomatic thingies where the poles are slanted, so might try that next year when we start training at club again. I will perservere with the 2x2 over the club training break though, I might have a breakthrough! Or a breakdown Have you thought about the channel method, RS? I trained Bailey to weave using it and I'm sure he'd be a lot more dopey then Millie!

Do you have any agility or flyball videos on your youtube TerraNik? I'd love to see your two in action! Yep I do... Jedi got his first title at this comp (he was still a bit green!!)... And yes, I'm a girl - My ex was running Jedi -- And here's Soaks at the same comp (again, being run by someone else)... I can't remember why I wasn't at that comp I don't have much agility... I've only just started videoing... Here's Jedi doing some 2x2 weave training (our most recent video) - And some serpentines and front/rear crosses - And Soaks' most recent 2x2 vid - Oh cool, ^^ I'll have to have a look when my internet is faster! -

What Is Advantage Of Being A Canine Good Citizen?
Tay. replied to W Sibs's topic in General Dog Discussion
I didn't even know dogs here could be a CGC. I think they have it almost like a title in the AKC, I've seen dogs with CGC after their name. But well done Charlie -
Argh, things like this make me so angry! Just like the other day on facebook, a friend's status came up in my newsfeed. "Omg, my dog is having puppys, so f'ing cute" Wow, you know so much about breeding you can't even spell what the offspring are called. When I asked what breed they were and what she was going to do with them. "Staffy cross I don't know. And not sure what we're gonna do with them"

Kind of finished two goals already So to that I'll add: -GD title -have a go at pairs

2010 Training/title/goals Wish List
Tay. replied to Seita's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Edited Still got a few trials before the end of the year though. Now that's ALL the trials finished for the year. With 2010 titles, we stand at: CD 2/3 JD 1/3 CDX 1/3 GD Very happy with that! -
Wow! Looks like everyone was very successful yesterday! Congrats xena98, amypie and RS (nice rosettes!)

Jess and I had our first go at agility games (snooker and gamblers) tonight and came home with a gamblers quallie !!!! Almost passed snooker too, if it wasn't for her falling/being blown off/called off the dog walk, which was the last obstacle in the closing sequence!! Bring on next year!

Where did all these Adelaide lappies come from!?!?

If by Breed snobs you mean people who hate to see wonderful dog breeds being bred and 'created' then sold for more money then necessary. Or do you mean people who are strongly opposed to backyard breeders who sell lies to unsuspecting people ''xxx is healthier then x because the breeding rules them out'' etc. So yes on a Purebred forum we do like to discuss purebred dogs ( and cross bred dogs are referred to as cross bred rather then a fancy name). Although that said, I think a fair few of us growing up would have owned a cross breed dog. Heck the dog which inspired my love of German Shepherds was a GSD x Kelpie my parents rescued from a pound before I was born. So just because we own pure bred dogs and advocate purchasing purebred dogs from reputable breeders does not mean we have not loved a cross bred dog. I think the main issue comes from people selling these cross breed dogs with a fancy name and false promises for higher prices then they are worth. My friend has a Labrador x Kelpie x Curly Coat Retriever..it was an oops litter and he paid $50 for the dog. The dog is a wonderful dog, well trained, and for the love she has brought him is invaluable. However...she is not one breed, and calling her a fancy name in order to sell her for a higher price would have been wrong in my opinion. ;) x2 'breed snob' and proud

Aww... one of the many breeds I wish to own! Best of luck with your new boy when he comes home!
