  1. Congrats!! He's so gorgeous!! Looking forward to watching him grow
  2. Come on, where's everyone else! This is my first attempt (knowing about the challenge). Balance, Ball(s of my feet), Window(sill) F 2.8
  3. :) So sorry to hear, CM RIP Texas
  4. Wow, never heard of the RSPCA doing agility classes! AD, do they cover actual equipment or is just foundation type training?
  5. This is going to be fun! Not very creative, but I didn't know about the challenge when I took it :D Ball, Water and (maybe) Balance. ;)
  6. ^Very nice :D!! You can re-train Jess' heel anytime ;) ETA: I never realised how huge and fluffy Kenzie's tail is!!
  7. There are breeds I want and will probably own and then there are breeds I want but know they probably wouldn't suit me. I (/my parents) have previously/currently had a Bullmastiff, Golden Retriever and Border Collie. After another BC I want.... -Malinois -Toller -Pyre Shep -Aussie -English Springer (working) -Brittany Life is too short to own just one breed
  8. In most cases, I'd prefer to a puppy from a non-showing breeder. As I prefer working/performance over show dogs.
  9. Congrats Seita and Ella!! Those OC legs are adding up quickly Well done ness and your girls - sounds like they both did really well! That novice ring must've been hiding, I didn't even see it Congrats xena98 and Gabby on your wins! 197, what a score!!! Pity about Inka's down stay though! Way to go RS, Ruby and Millie! Sounds like you had so very close runs! Woah... lots of brags this weekend!!
  10. Way to go all WA DOL'rs!! Sounds like you're all having a good time!! Also, congrats Nicole and Lomani!! 10 Q's this year already! Wow, well done! We haven't even had an agility trial yet I've got a tiny semi-brag tonight. First obedience trial of 2011, entered Jess in open. She did pretty well in the ring and seemed really happy, which is what we're aiming for this year . So we were passing up until stays - when she reverted back to her old ways and dropped in the sit stay. Dammit - would have been an 185, which I would of been ecstatic with. Oh well... back to hard core stay training we go ;)
  11. ^ I can understand some, but seriously names like Retriever and Dalmatian... gosh, not really that exotic.
  12. I'm going to say never say never One day, if I had the time/money/knowledge I might consider it. Basically I don't like the structure/appearance of quite a lot of pedigree (show/'pet' type) border collies in Australia and would love to improve it. But hey, I'm still in school so I'm talking years and years away.
  13. Hi, just wondering what your club is? I am also on the Fleurieu Peninsula (Strathalbyn) and I have struggled to find anything decent in the area. My friend goes to obedience classes in Strath on Tuesday nights. I don't know much about it, but I can get contact info if you want?
  14. I'm down south and go to both Southern Districts and Noarlunga City. Both offer agility and obedience week nights and Sunday mornings.
  15. *sneaks back in* Loving everyones photos! I don't know about you guys, but I can't believe I still haven't missed a day! Apologies for not posting in the thread much, it's hard enough finding time to load onto the computer, edit and upload to Flickr. Stupid life, always getting in the way
  16. What a great photo! And such a happy looking pup! ^ the link above didn't work for me though...
  17. Rev, Sike, Flirt, Crime, Leigh, Crave. You can always try names that just sound like single letters; Cue, Zee, Bee etc. I feel sorry for my next dog, he's going to have such a strange name.
  18. What is the correct pronounciation for those, took me long enough to get the Mali's right! Groan-en-darl Ter-ver-en Mal-en-wah Lak-en-wah 'ois' is pronounced 'wah' in French (and in Belgian also I suppose) Thank you - I shall practice x2
  19. Guess I can join in this thread now.... Got my 1.8 yesterday Still getting the hang of it, so nothing too exciting to share just yet Oh, what the hell... here's a few average pics I shot today.. I love it already ;)
  20. Nice!! I love watching dogs doing what they're originally bred for
  21. I sort of had the same plan as you onsntillnflash, but a little different. I only decided to try agility when my dog was 15 months, so we didn't do any puppy agility foundation type training, only obedience school. The year I decided to start agility was the year we started obedience trialling. I was scared into thinking that by doing agility, I'd muck up all her obedience work (which was false, she is a total different dog in the different sports), and should wait until she had at least a CD title before starting agility. So I believed it and waited. Now I look back on it, all I see is time wasted that could have been spent doing agility!! So with my next puppy, I'll start training with both sports in mind So if I was you, I wouldn't worry about getting a CD and CDX first... there's nothing wrong with doing both sports at the same time
