  1. Way to go AD and your pups! ADAA titles/classes confuse me, but sounds like you did great Agility trial here today, Jess managed a Q and 2nd in novice agility and had two super close, 1 fault runs (1 bar in ex jumping, 1 refusal in nov agility). Still can break Jess' 'one pass per day' routine
  2. It's not. Will probably start soon, now that I know that we have a chance at getting the CDX
  3. I'm here I'm here! Today Jess got her second open pass with a score of 191!! And 1st place!! Very very pleased with her :D
  4. Fritz! And occasionally cheese and hot dogs, in small pieces. With my dog, training treats are 'special', something she only gets in training.
  5. Absolutely adorable!! :D And insanely amazing!
  6. Yeah, I wouldn't consider terriers easy either. But they've already got a JRT so they'd be used to the personality I'm assuming. Thanks for the suggestions everyone :D will be passing them on!
  7. Not sure if anyone else can view this link, but a friend of a friend in QLD is making steel-based weaves if anyone is interested. I can contact her for more info if wanted.
  8. Looking good I'm a hopeless editor so I can't really offer useful comments
  9. Yet another one of these threads, sorry! I have a friend who is looking into getting a new dog. What breeds tick these boxes? -Small/Medium in size -Minimal Grooming -Easy to train/suitable for a less experienced trainer -Healthy/'hardy' -Will be living with a JRT
  10. I don't really do anything different in a lead up to a trial. For obedience, I 'formally' train once a week at a club (with a ring set up), and might just do bits here and there at home. I also go to a club for agility once a week, but do more stuff at home (small sequences, work on whatever we need to i.e. weave entries).
  11. ^^ Thanks Will give that a go if the rain lets me get the camera out tomorrow!
  12. They look pretty good to me I was expecting blurred balls of fluff from your description I've only been to one agility trial to practice so far, but found it tricky to get 'nice' looking shots as there is so much clutter and stuff going on in the background at these events. Next time I'll think about my positioning a lot more and practice, practice, practice This was my first attempt.... http://s189.photobucket.com/albums/z49/scr...20April%202011/ Thanks! I took plenty of blurred balls of fluff photos, I just deleted them Lots were like this Love your shots
  13. Woohoo!! Way to go RubyStar and Ruby!! Congrats Ptolomy on Cider's ring work! Sit stays should be an optional exercise I'm feeling almost inspired enough to enter another obedience trial...
  14. Very nice!! :D Flyball looks like such fun!
  15. Sure, I'll just have to find them :D ETA: I uploaded the better shots from two trials to flickr the Exif data is visible too. The first lot of photos were taken in October when I just got my camera and then second were taken a couple weekends ago - but I couldn't get anything right! The lighting made it kind of hard - broad sunlight in some spots and complete shade in others. :D
  16. Thanks CC I look forward to more tips in proper formulated sentences at more sensible hour
  17. I've attempted to photograph agility a couple times now and have had no success. I just can't seem to get anything in focus! Please, any help is appreciated! I need it! (I've used my Canon 1000D with the EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III kit lens.)
  18. Must be a staffy thing :D My dad once had a little staffy that somehow managed to get herself on the neighbour's roof! Some things I will never understand ;) Best of luck finding a solution!
