Just finished watching it Found it interesting. Hmm.. I want a puppy
-
Ah yep, just read on her blog. Dammit.

Does anyone know if it will be available to download after it has been aired? I won't be home
-
Aww Love it.

Just shocking. I must admit, I get pretty excited when I meet a lean Lab. You don't come across them too often in everyday life.

I love clicker training. I wish I'd known more when my girl was a puppy and clicker trained her from the start. She picks up things so much quicker with the clicker and I find it much easier for her to understand what I want her to do. Here's a site with plenty of info to get you started http://www.clickertraining.com/whatis Oh really? I bought a couple cheap clickers from Hong Kong or somewhere (in April, I think..) and have had no problems. They do their job

I'm glad I'm not the only one unsure of this

Under course faults: In the Weaving Poles, after the dog has entered correctly, the dog fails to negotiate a gap. No further penalties will be incurred for the dog not negotiating any other gaps Dog must continue after missing a gap. Repeating any part of the weaving poles will be judged as wrong course. And under disqualifications: d) in the Weaving Poles, if the dog repeats any gap either missed or completed. So as I'm reading it, you can no longer fully reattempt the poles if your dog misses a pole, and you don't have to/can't go back to where the dog missed a pole. You aren't DQ'd if you continue to the next obstacle if the dog missed a pole. Thanks for that ^ So previously if you reattempted the weaves after the dog skipped a pole, it was just a NQ? But now it's a DQ? What if the dog misses it's entry, DQ? I'd rather DQ then continue with the course if my dog skipped a pole

From the ANKC website. What is the change with weave faults?

So it's about half way through the year - thought I'd review my goals Kind of finished two goals already So to that I'll add: -GD title -have a go at pairs In April Jess got her JD and this month she got her AD and CDX. Need one more leg for her GD. First trial in agility excellent will be on the 9th of July. I haven't been entering opens, entry fees without extra runs are bad enough And we've sort of started the bases of UD training. Not too bad for half way through
-
I'm pretty surprised but very excited to announce that today Jess gain the last leg needed for her CDX title! Not the best ring work she's ever done, but somehow she got a score of 190 and 2nd place! Soo... onto Utility now, very scary!

Absolutely gorgeous!

HUGE congrats bedazzled and Ptolomy Very clever dogs! (and owners :p)!! :cheer: Also well done to RallyValley & TrinaJ!!

I just thought Bailey was cute for a fluffy little Golden pup. No real story there. Jess is named after my step-dad's BC mix he had when he was younger, who I believe was named after the Footrot Flats Jess. I was awfully uncreative with their names. I already have a list of more unique name's for my next dog :p

I have one dog on my bed, another on the floor (he's got his own bed ) When they both thought they'd share my bed, I had no room! So thank god Bailey accepts the floor now

23 runs, AD! Wow! Sounds like your two did very well though, congrats!

Why Are Ankc Agility Nationals Held Bi-yearly?
Tay. replied to Tay.'s topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Because of the amount of time and effort it takes to organise them. Its a heap of effort that falls on the shoulders of a handful of people in each state. Trying for every year when not every State is running one would be too much of an ask. I'm still scarred from the ACT one - and that was ages ago. I think folk were also concerned about whether everyone would travel if it was once a year. I thought that may have been the case. Thanks -
Congrats xena98! From what I saw of Gabby today, she looked excellent! Inka too! :D Well done Nik on your CCD passes!
-
No, that's perfect!
-
Way to go LP and Leo Jess got her AD title today with 1st place too :D :D (just one or two silly mistakes in her other runs, so we didn't break the 'one pass per day' theory. Oh well, very very happy with her!)

I find it hard enough to get up at 6:30am as it is Otherwise I'd walk in the morning, I love the morning Just getting out of bed is the hard part. So I usually walk them at 4:30-5:00pm, but in Summer I walk at about 8.00pm - once it's cooled down.
-
Yep, I'll be there.
-
I didn't know Gabby had off days ;) Congrats on your passes though :D Way to go TerraNik and Soaks! And good boy Jedi for his first shot in open :D
