Thanks redial and koalathebear for your replies koalathebear, I think I'm in a very similar situation to what you were in when looking for your Kelpie. Will definiatley take a look at the breeder notes on the WKC site, cheers

I don't mean to hijack the thread but I have a question I've been debating on what breed my next puppy should be and I'm actually considering switching teams and getting a Kelpie ;) So I'd be looking for a really drivey, agile, fast dog particularly for dog sports (especially agility)and though the dog would be exercised daily I still live in the suburbs. I've seen a lot of lazy, stocky looking kelpies around (assuming ankc dogs) and that's the complete opposite of what I'd want. So I don't know whether to go ANKC or WKC, or does it really just depend on the lines? Is anyone able to suggest some studs/breeders/bloodlines that may be suitable for what I'm looking for, I won't be getting a puppy until at least late next year, but there's no such thing as too much research...

You could still do neuter shows

Well, trialling year is over. I'm happy with our goal accomplishments! Jess -CDX title -Check! -Start Utility training *undecided* -Nope, obedience got a bit boring for both of us -JD title -Check! -AD title -Check! -Leg(s) towards JDX, JDO, SD, GD -All Check! -Finish teaching the bloody see-saw then.. -Check! -ADX + ADO trial -Check! plus 1 Q in ADO & 3 in ADX! -GD title -Nope, only entered gamblers once all year -have a go at pairs -Nope, need a partner ! Goals for me would be to not get so nervous in the ring, focus on the good more than the bad and to better my crappy agility handling! -Hmmm, I guess my crappy agility handling is a little less crappy (I can front cross without falling over now ). I still get nervous but I'm usually fine after the first run of the day. Overall, improvements but with plenty of room for more improvement!

Jess: - regain a solid startline stay - improve on distance - consistent 2o2o contacts - better weave entries - do some more herding - flyball? (I've put that on my list the past two years, still don't see it happening though) titles - JDX - ADX - GD - SD + Q's towards -ADO -JDO -JDM -ADM -SPD Yep, aiming high! As for me, I hope to improve on my handling and be more consistent!

A few months ago I had a dream I was on some sinking ship. I managed to get out alive but my camera was lost at sea. I'm pretty sure some of my friends were missing and it seemed as if I didn't care, I was just absolutely devastated about my camera!

dog movies exist to make us cry, right? ah, I started to list my favourites but it pretty much turned into a 'dog movies I've seen' list, I can't choose!

So many talented photographers on DOL! It's almost 2 AM so I can't really think of my absolute favourite at the moment, I'll be back! -
I don't have any professional opinions, I just like these 3.

Thanks Vickie! :D I love the option of entering online, wish we had that all the time!

I used to take her back 99% of the time but that percentage is slowly going down. If it was my fault, I'll usually keep going but taking her back doesn't bother her at all. She doesn't stress out by it, so that's not a problem. Like AD said, if I think she should have run the part she missed, I'll go back.

A question to any one with an answer, I wanna put my entries in before the early bird closing date but we don't have any more trials before then and Jess only needs 1 quallie for her JDX and GD, so it's very possible that she'll get those titles before the normal closing date for entries. So what I'm trying to say is if she gets her titles after I've put in the entries, can I contact whoever is in charge of entries to bump her up?

Snakes - the one thing I hate about summer, Total on lead walks arent really an option for my dogs I would have to walk to Melbourne and back to tire them out! So we swap our usual bush type snake paradise trail for a boring oval, not ideal but it works. Our street backs onto a pine forest on one side and bush type land at the end, lovely for snakes! My brother had already seen two this season, ewww

Where is that place, Snook? Might be worth looking into..

Way to go TSD! Lovely results! Congrats krustie22! Sounds like you're having a great time with your girl :D We were down at the Mt Gambier trials this weekend and had a blast! Ended up coming home with a Q/1st in exc agility, Q/1st in open jumping and a Q/1st nov snooker! So happy with miss Jess, she gave 100% all weekend even when the weather heated up! And she only knocked ONE bar ALL weekend! Most her other runs only had 1 fault or silly handler errors. But she's deffinitley acting more "mature" in the ring, we only had one run where she acted like a feral baby dog! Good girlie!
