Stop chew, which is available from Vets stopped my Giant Schnauzer from chewing skirting boards. She loved any type of wood.

Veggiedent Recall In Australia By Vibrac
standardpoodle replied to CooperDog's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I ran after my girl with a margarine container to get her urine sample, it took some persistance but we did have success. Liz & Cosette -
His coat is soooooooo shiny, and we often get compliments at shows! (But it makes his coat a little soft for a breed that is supposed to have a coarse coat ) The other good shampoo for skin irritation is EQyss Micro Tek, it is available from http://www.petsonthepark.com.au They also have a spray to stop biting and itching. These product are not cheap but they are worth it as skin problems can go on for ages. My Standard Poodle girl has sensitive skin, I use Groomers Evening Primrose Oil on her and as I have a hydro bath, I need very little shampoo. She is now allergic to brass. I found this out just this year aged 3 years. So no brass tags or collars with brass studs. with best regards, Liz

Ahhh yes I am familiar with Petes hatred of being brushed on his legs - that makes sense now! Thankyou As a groomer, I would recommend a metal comb, preferably a schnauzer face comb. I recommend and use these more than any other bush or comb. I am not a fan of the slicker brush as many inexperienced people just bush the surface of the coat. You need to comb/brush from the skin. You can get an excellent detangle spray from Groomers Products Australia http://www.groomersproducts.com.au their products are just wonderful. I also agree that a groomer rather than a pet shop would be the way to go. with best regards, Liz

Leo Ear Cleaner - Replacement
standardpoodle replied to MolassesLass's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I was advised by a Poodle Breeder not to use Leo Ear Cleaner as it can cause the ear to blister. But having said that I have just now ordered Milo as I have Poodle ears that I treat all the time. So I am going to try it. -
I couldn't agree more, great product Groomers Evening Primrose Oil Shampoo. There conditioners are great also. I never just shampoo. I always condition as well. I am a groomer. Dogs can be allergic to wheat products, this is in a lot of commercial dog foods.

Too Much Socialisation

Hi, It sounds like a lot of boerbaul to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
I have a 4.5 month old toy poodle pup. Since her arrival she has commandeered the older dog's mats and this has deterred the older dog from going there. How do I teach her which is her mat and by the same token teach her that his mat is off limit Give her the most special fluffiest best bed you can find!!!!!!! Then Princess may appreciate her own bed. Just an idea. She may just appreciate company being a pup, wanting just to join in with him rather than be on her own. Seriously, I would use a puppy pen and put her and her bed in that. Then she would have no choice.
