  1. Excellent idea Brooke. I was going to donate this week, but now I've come down with a bug, hopefully I'll get there in the next week or two. Going to check to see if my candle is still burning bright, to light the way for your recovery Jed.
  2. Great to hear Charlottes home LC, I imagine you wouldn't have slept without her. Don't worry, the hair will grow back quicker than you think and then she'll just shed all over your floor again anyway. Hugs and kisses to Charlotte, be prepared for her to put on some weight while you distract her with chew treats, rather than doing zoomies. Better that than being too active though.
  3. We were there too and missed all you guys. Here's Bronte and her BFF, Brandi. Her people folk were competing at Werribee Park with their horse, so she came for a doggy day out. On the way home, happy and a little bit tired.
  4. Well there you go. I know a sable merle Collie and only if it is pointed out to you can you actually see any sort of representation of it in his coat, otherwise you'd just think him a handsome sable. Thanks for that, fascinating.
  5. So, is a Sable BC also a dilute of the Red, or is the Sable a completely different colour again or maybe a dilute of the Tri. Its all very confusing this colour stuff, but it makes for 'surprise' time when the litters come.
  6. Jules what did Amber think of the sheepies? We didn't go to the clinic today because we had an obed club fun day (mock trial at your level). We won 2nd place and a pretty red ribbon though - damn those SFE's. See you at Kate's in July I think.
  7. Candle lit for Jed. And a big supportive hug for all of you that are caring for her remaining fur family and those who are close friends with Jane - stay strong.
  8. Well done everyone, it seems like you are all going really well with your training! Edited - Multiple typos in such a short sentence.
  9. Rarely do I find words fail me, but now they seem meaningless. RIP little ones Come home Magnus, be good for your mum. Jed, please be well soon and feel our wishes for your speedy recovery.
  10. Very, VERY cool. That first one is my pic too, that's hang on wall material.
  11. Collie Smooth (own one and getting another later in the year) Australian Shepherd Shetland Sheepdog German Shepherd Dog Whippet Hungarian Visla Dobermann (owned one previously) Border Terrier Parson Russell Terrier Standard Poodle seriously there are so many more, but these are the main ones.
  12. this is the one I'm talking about a few come out next to each other ... there is no space/enter between pics that's why ... probably has something to do with monitor size too That's the one I love too, all feets and mouths. They are all lovely. I met a litter of 10, 3 week old smooth Collies on the weekend - must have been something in the water when these litters were conceived. OMG they were gorgeous and highly entertaining - could have watched them for hours.
  13. That's April and a polar bear swimming together - cool shot!
  14. Love seeing the photos and as usual they all look like they had fun. The photo of the Cavs is gorgeous, they have awesome little round botties. Bronte and her farm buddy had their own sand zoomies in the dressage arena, but NO digging there, that would be BADDDDDD. Oh and she tried to round up the chooks too! Looking foward to the July catch up, see you there!
  15. At first look I thought ACD too, but the front on shots of the head and the feather on his tail do suggest potential Smoothie in him too, though I would have thought he wouldn't be so predominantly white if that were the case, particularly as his face is tri. But hey, he's a cutie either way.
  16. I've got two Lifestages for the house, because they are very smart. Yep, I have a second one already there for my new pup in about 6 months time - can you tell I'm excited. But for the car I have two marginally smaller, but much cheaper ones and they fit side by side in the back of the car. Bought the cheapest one from Pupkus and was very pleased with the price. Its about a 36 inch, maybe just under, and cost around the $75 mark from memory. ps. Pupkus is an online store, easy to find on the net.
  17. I didn't watch all of this, but I'm officially a Biscuit fan, he's just adorable. I love his first drop, it was a bit touch and go, but very greyhoundish. He likes fast pace doesn't he, bouncy bouncy bouncy. I can't wait to see more of him. Good luck with your next trials. Congratulations to everyone and these brilliant results and some great title achievements!
  18. My girl is off to ABBA Kennels and training with Cosmolo in June. Normally she goes to a pet sitter and stays at her home with her dog, but that's not an option this time. Given that Bronte is obsessed with Cos and roo-roos and waggles like a mad dog when she sees her, I thought it would be nice to add the continuity of known trainers into her daily kennel routine, so she wouldn't feel so out of sorts when she goes there. Between Cos and Mr Cos training her, I'll be lucky if she wants to come home when I go to pick her up.
  19. I have a dog with skin problems and the last time I used Advocate she reacted very badly. I now use Comfortis and all is well again. Nice and easy to dose and not messy either. Apart from when she was a little pup I have never had a flea problem since, but I think I'm in a relatively low flea and definitely low tick area.
  20. Bronte's still in the wars with her allergies, but otherwise doing ok. She qualified for her Herding Test title last week, so she ain't doing too badly. Unfortunately I'll be o/s at that time in June, but its something to keep in mind for next year.
  21. Crazy crazy, manic dog face. Was this photo taken on the day of a full moon, its a classic.
  22. He is lovely BB, his markings are stunning. He looks a brave one. I'm looking forward to my first little boy in about another 6-7 months too, sounds like its a whole new experience to look forward to. Enjoy him while he's little! PS. Oooo, love his name. I'd like a dog called Badger one day, perhaps in the distant future. Next name is all picked out already though.
  23. Not while I'm awake, I'll just move them, but ever so gently. But I am currently nursing a bad neck because I've slept like a pretzel for the last two nights. Seems Bronte, who in summer sleeps at the end of the bed, and my cat, who in summer sleeps in the dog crate (go figure) or in the lounge, have decided its now winter and I'm their personal body heater. I now sleep with my cat in the crook of my legs or small of my back and Bronte in a tight ball up near my chest. This works fine until I try and turn over, at which point I throw out my neck or back trying to move without upsetting them and trying to rearrange myself around them - hence pretzel!
  24. No, she is a Collie (Smooth), not a Border Collie x Greyhound. Yes they do come in short coats, I didn't just make it up.
