  8. heading over on the 10th & back on the 13th if that's ant help.
  9. I know this isn't really herding related, but my old working dog JC turned 15 today, she took the sheep out with extra enthusiasm this morning then ran down the paddock with the other dogs to get the paper, aahh she's still got it . Pebbles, the Aussie, is 5yo today so it's party food all round tonight, girls. Izzi has to wait till next month she'll be 5 too. Now back to the herding stuff, I gotta get to a Victorian trial , coming back over for a training weekend next month, can't wait.
  10. It was great to meet you Reverend Jo and talking to you almost made me forget it was BL***Y FREEZING , thanks for taking photos can't wait to see them , hope to catch up with you again soon.
  11. I agree Superminty gotta move on at some time, can't tread water forever , & I don't want to enter Izzi in started anymore she's ready to go into Intermediate. Delta isn't far off but would be to soon to put her up now, Pebbles, hmmm Pebbles what can I say about her, she's not going to be going up in the near future we got lots of work to do . Looking forward to the training day on the 14th & I'm about to have a lesson now, couple of problems to iron out, herding is addictive.
  12. I'd love to do ducks with her but gotta get some training first. I'm so pleased with the way she's going, except for a problem I'm having after the sheep come out of the pen, just can't work out what to do at the moment hope to work it out at the training day . Seriously considering the B course too :).
  13. SA is having it's first herding champs next month . I'm entering Izzi in her first intermediate , thought if I'm going to make a fool of myself it might as well be in a big way at an important event , ah well give people a . It's over a month away & I'm already what a priss, pfft get over it .
  14. There were people from NSW & Victoria at the SA clinic, it was great to meet them all.
  15. Wow who would think you could have sooo much fun & learn so much training chooks , yep had the best weekend & if Terry comes back next year I'm going to be there. Our chooks name was Alice & I want thank her for being a very good girl . Any one else do chicken camp with Terry, what did you think of it?
  16. WOOHOO we're heading for the Double K in June ,4 whole weeks away , hopefully a friend is coming over for a bit of practice before then. About to change the course around a bit to give the dogs & sheep something to think about. Been sitting planning where to put obstacles & where I can get more rubbish to make the obstacles out of, I really gotta getta life .
  17. I'm going to the one in SA, really looking forward to it :D.
  18. I'm going nuts, well nutser , withdrawal symptoms are getting to me & don't think I can handle not trialing much longer. Itching to get Izzi out for her first intermediate run & try Delta, in HS, at a trial now she's more calm & controlled, she use to be WOOHOO lets do this. Did a cast with Delta last week, 150mtr, she did the distance easy would have gone 2km buuut she reverted back to her WOOHOO self. Izzi did our course while I stood at the centre post, would have got pinged for off line a lot but there aren't bridges & blind corners in trials so still very happy with her. Hell I'm glowing about all of them . Now just need to start planning a trip back to the double K for some more lessons, thinking about the end of June, but not sure how bad the weather gets then. Me & a friend are getting together to train when she gets back, hanging out for that as well, times just dragging I'm going for a cino & chocolate to console myself :D.
  19. We did the Double K clinic on Sunday, I was sooo proud of my 2 , Izzi did some beautiful driving & casts, not all perfect of course but life ain't perfect . Delta is working much quieter than she was, needs to go wider in her casts but I'm working on that. Today a friend came here & did some more training, I only used Pebbles this time & she worked like a little beauty too, we both got some good work from our dogs . Life's great when your herding, sorry still buzzing from Sunday .
  20. I had such a great time at the Trudy clinic, the dogs worked so well on sheep & cows, Pebbles was the star of my team with cows . Now I'm itchin to do more training, bugga my teacher for leaving SA . Can't see me moving to Victoria sooo I'm looking for a caravan so I've got some thing to sleep in when we go over there, unless I can find some where that accepts dogs. Geez I'm sounding more & more like a herding tragic , ah well don't drink, smoke or go out with bad men, gotta have some sort of bad habit .
  21. I've just got home from a GREAT week of herding training in Nyora, can't stop :D, Izzi, Pebbles & Delta had a run. Here's the short version, they did sheep & cows, Trudy said Pebbles is ready to start trialing on cows now , her first time on them & had it all under controll , she said Izzi won't take long to reach advanced , & also did really well on cows, & I did an excercise with Delta on sheep that I thought would end up a train wreck  buuut she proved me wrong & did a really good job, then went on to do pretty good on the cows as well. So Pebbles is the cow prodogy, Izzi is the sheep dog & Delta is coming up behind them in leaps & bounds. I'm the gladest little vegimite around , now for the downer, my trainer is leaving for Tassie so I'll have to play by myself ooooor move to Victoria, as near to Nyora as possible LOL. Well I'm off to sit & smile a bit more before I fall asleep in the chair, WOOHOO I love herding.
  22. Here's Madam 14 (JC) putting the sheep back in their yard each night, Still working after all them years. :D
  23. I'll be the one looking like I should have taken up knitting superminty , look forward to seeing you & everyone else there it's going to be great .
