  1. Hey...Tlc, glad to hear the induction went well! I'm sure Tully, Lacey and Mawson will put a smile on the dial of many a patient! I've had the internet down for a few days so had to catch up on all the posts...made for an interesting read!
  2. I'll keep my fingers crossed you lucky walkers have a beautiful day for the beach tomorrow! As I type this, its pouring outside! How unusual....NOT!
  3. Nice photo Jess...she sure looks fit and I love how focused she looks!
  4. Oh dear...mine get bathed...never They just don't seem to need it and are never smelly so maybe I got lucky with their coats. They do get wet when it rains and then they are vigorously(sp) towel dried, which they love but thats about it! If they get abit mucky I just wash off that spot.
  5. Great photos...as usual! Love the Migs action shots and Mawson looks like he's smiling in the first one! Tlc...your dogs are the supermodels of the doggy world...they always look so comfortable in photos!! Bugger bugger bugger...stuck in an office all week when the sun has been shining and now a wet weekend! So not fair! Little Gus had a weigh in this week and he's now 27kg at nearly 9 months. I think the Golden Retriever side is kicking in! I hope everyone has a good weekend and I really really hope its not too wet!
  6. Well I'm reading this with great interest! Our lounge suite is half dead...its time to get another even though I was hoping it would last just a bit longer in order for the dogs to ..er...mature more and not act so insane! Picture two lounges with 1 minus the seat cushions! I was thinking leather too but I'm being swayed into looking at microfibre! I think Melbourne cup day might be shopping day as poor old Warrnambool dosen't get the public holiday. With a black dog and blackish brindle dog, its gotta be a dark coloured fabric methinks!
  7. AWWWWW....Happy puppy photos...always good to see! Darcy...You legend Tenties and Gsd...so sorry to hear about your dad. Hope you guys are going ok during this sad time for you all
  8. Anyone else having trouble seeing piccies....all i'm seeing is a photobucket upgrade pic! Siggies have gone too! WTF!!! Hey Mr and Mrs JJ...congratulations on your wedding yesterday! So glad the weather was perfect for you all! No doubt you are all recovering today! Tlc...well done to Cooper and you! But what the hell was the guy doing with the horse...bit rude of him to come barrelling up like that!
  9. Well my bad bad girl seems fine today so hopefully the cooked chook does no damage! The thing that gets me is the amount of times I don't click the lock on the fridge. I mean, how much extra food do I need to buy before I start to consistantly remember :D I'm sure Jane can hear when the lock dosen't click in but she's too smart to check it out if someone is in the kitchen. She waits til the coast is clear BTW Tlc...Thats a very lovely Kindle you have there
  10. Yep...she's a bad, bad girl! Last week I managed to spring her with her head in the fridge. She wasn't all that fussed by me screaming and jumping up and down behind her. She was more miffed about not finding anything good in there to eat so just quietly turned around and walked away! Just happened to be a 'low food' day that day!
  11. Glad you liked the leads Tlc! For anyone interested, Pets direct in warrnambool are selling training leads and collars for $7.50. They are all different brands but all can be changed from long to short lengths. Depending on the lead, some were up to $30 so its a good bargain. Apparently they are discontinuing the lines. Training was freezing today and Gus was abit of a space-dog but those brave enough to get out in the weather enjoyed it.He certainly loved the run around at the park afterwards with Tlc and her four! After experiencing it with Jane and now Gus, I'm thinking 9 months is the 'ratbag' phase for pups. Seems like something just switches off for a few months Bad luck about the Geelong show! Hopefully the powers that be will recognise the problems and improve things. Well Jane paid me back for not taking her to training today. Stole a whole cooked chook and ate the lot Fingers crossed it all passes through and the Pet Insurance remains untouched!
  12. UUHHGGGh....this weather is foul. Just home from work in Colac and I just want to stay in and do nothing!!! Too bad no one else is going to clean the house!!!! Tlc...hopefully the weather will brighten up tomorrow. I'm keen for a walk if you are. Beach or park is fine with me. I'm about to use a spot on flea treatment for the dogs. I don't do it over winter as its too expensive to waste when there are no fleas anyway. Just wondering how it will go with the two dogs playing. Won't poison them or anything will it??!!!
  13. It would have been an awesome day for a beach walk...very very jealous and sad we couldn't make it. I ended up cutting the front and back lawns which have been neglected of late. I'm tired from that but I would much rather be tired from a beach walk! Looking forward to the pics Tlc! Tenties...I walk every day with the dog/s so would be happy for some company. Only problem is that I work full-time so it would be in the evenings. Camperdown is pretty easy to walk around or if you like the Noorat track looks pretty flat as well. The days are getting longer so it might be do-able if you are keen. Please pm me if you want.
  14. So thrilled for you all! I have been following this thread like watching a horror movie with my hands over my eyes...needing to know if your pups were ok but really scared to read incase it was bad news so I'm so relieved everything looks good. At least now you can concentrate on getting yourself better now. I recommend garlic with horseradish and vit c tablets. They will help dry up the nasty phelgm and give that virus abit of a fright! Have a lovely weekend!
  15. Well that sounds interesting! I'm not sure I can walk afterwards as Allie will be in Melbourne so I would have to leave Jane at home if the weather is warm. Just don't want to leave her for too long without some company. She would be fine but I'm a sooky lala! Jess... good luck in Sale and have a safe trip! JJ...Those red doggies of yours are bootiful. It must feel great to catch up with the pups after finding them such happy homes!
  16. Wow...popped in here for my nightly read and it was pages and pages!!! You guys sure can talk (or should I say write!). Tlc...sorry Tully and Lacey have been upsetting you with their spat! Naughty girls... although I must admit that I would fight anyone over an icecream too Just wondering, was Cooper around when they had their little 'to-do' or was it just the girls in the bedroom? Anyway, I'm sure it was a once-off and at least you know to be more vigulent when food is involved. Because I'm a paranoid dog owner, my two eat completely separately and will probably continue to do so however they have obviously been together when Jane has raided the fridge!!! Oh and JJ...My name is Tez and I admit to having...gulp...hangs head in shame...two cross breed dogs on a pure breed forum...OMG!!!
  17. Hello all! Thanks very much for the birthday wishes! Got a lovely prezzie from work. A gift voucher for the local vets...ahh they know me too well! JJ...hope the snakes are all comfy under their new lights. Bet the electrician had a story to tell the family that night!!! Well done Dezzy on making some sad and depressed people very happy today! Amazing how an animal can reach out and touch some people. Tlc, I hope you get to share Tully and Lacey with some patients soon!
  18. Very very cute, Luvlottie! Are the two related? Just love the angelic expressions...obviously not them that chewed the sock and the shoe :p
  19. Awww...dreamy Tully forgot to put her tongue back in!
  20. Beautiful photos of beautiful dogs! Gotta agree about the 'snuggler' part. Gus is 1/2 whippet or greyhound and he is the best snuggler ever! My heart does flip flops when he tucks his long nose under my chin :p
  21. Thanks Tlc...Yep he is bigger than Jane now. Skinny long legged thing that he is! I had to include the other photo because I think it shows Gus's lovely coat so well. Btw thats Roger the Rooster and his girls at the back. Jane and Gus are pretty relaxed with them until I give them a treat...then they get abit stroppy because the chooks have the food they want!
  22. I thought it was time to share my two...Jane the black labby x at 18 months and young Gus at 7.5 months
  23. Man oh man that snake does look like it has its mouth open, especially in the first pic. Pretty scary thats for sure! Can't imagine that Jane would leave it alone if she saw one so I have pet insurance so I can pay for the treatment when it happens! Beautiful day for a walk toaday and Jane is nice a cruisy and relaxed after a good training session and nice walk with Barb and her crew and RJ and Sniffle. Made me realise I need a few t-shirts as all I've got are warm tops and jumpers! Know what you mean about the pony Tenties...If I attempted to get on a pony I'm sure he would think it would be fairer if he got on me!!!!
  24. OMG...she's lovely and by the sounds of it she will soon have a forever home. Best of luck and congradulations in advance to the lucky new owners. If I had room for a third then she would be moving to Camperdown!!!
  25. Hope you enjoy the walk tlc, the weather is perfect! Also hope you are feeling heaps better by now! Oh and no...back to work since last week and I have a rotten cold as a momento of Tassie! Are you going to training tomorrow??? I'll be there with Jane as Allie has a sleepover so no Gus. He'll just have to kick back at home. As much as I'm loving this warm weather it does mean I can't leave one of the dogs in the car for half the time as its just too hot in there! Tenties...Bad luck about the car...again. I'm beginning to think that a horse and buggy may be a better mode of transport for you
