  1. i couldn't find it :D my 5th one down was some .pdf file but didn't see mention of cavey!
  2. I definitely want Shyla titre tested for Parvo and Distemper and hope to vaccinate 3yrly. I was just wondering though if people think I should get her vaccinated this year, and THEN get it 3yrly? She had her shots as a pup and so the shot this year will be her first shot since then.. should I get this one done and then do the titre test next year onwards, or do the titre test now?
  3. I'm sure they are losing customers now, i for one won't be buying them again!
  4. So if I have Shylas flea control covered and just want an allwormer/heartwormer only, what can I use other than the Interceptor?? Or if not, just an all wormer (that does intestinal worms, tapeworms) and if it doesn't do heartworm I guess I can get Heartgard or something
  5. Yep huskys and escaping.. one reason I'd never have one, it's in their blood it seems! She is SO beautiful though
  6. Only just read this thread, I am so sorry for your loss ;) Cherish the memories and be at ease as he is now at peace and rest forever
  7. Whether or not he solves problems is a matter of opinion Sure is! We cant all agree
  8. How can people be against him when his methods solve the problems? Isn't that the whole point? Ah they are probably jealous ETA i still found that very funny
  9. Shyla and I can only meet up with other for onleash stuff so we don't risk injuring her leg further, so yeah at the moment we just chill at home and go for short walks and do bits of training and go outside in the backyard regularly with non strenuous fun :D we also go visit my family once a week and visit the neighbors next door and chill in their backyard. we were going to kepala but I work sundays now
  10. OOh sh*t thats terrible!!!!! I always fear a topical reaction from these flea products, really I wouldn't want to put these toxins into my animals bodies, poor kitty hey I use Advocate and haven't had a problem thus far
  11. I created a suckling thread a few months ago, it includes funny suckling photosssss http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...=187505&hl=
  12. So glad charlie is ok!! what a scare
  13. Week 8 - Birthday girl turns 1 years old!! Week 9 - Digging in the big hail stones after Melbourne's freaky big hailstorm
  14. That's awful and scary and downright terrible, thank goodness you were able to get you girl back quickly!! Who on earth would do this
  15. Someone told me that they changed the formula of these a little while ago and now they are really bitter tasting ..... We give all tablets (including Spectrum) here with a smear of peanut butter - they go down like lollies! That failed here! Tried peanut butter, yoghurt and other yummies She HATES THEM. She even eats anti inflammatory tablets on their own, so these taste worse!!!
  16. Trying to give Shyla her Interceptor Spectrum tasty (now even more tastier!) chew and she doesn't want a bar of it!!! What should I do? Can I break it up and administer the bits like I would a tablet or does it HAVE to be chewed? Never getting these again!
  17. Your longcoat is sooo adorable too... something about 'em!
  18. Is it bad I DON'T really wash Shyla regularly? I don't think she had a bath since like Oct/Nov! She never smells or gets oily
  19. Awwww thanks everyone!! I told her she got more birthday wishes than I did when it was my birthday LOL, she tilted her head to the side numerous times, don't think she understood  She had a Persistent Right Aortic Arch.. in english it means a vein was obstructing her esophagus/constricting it, so when it was time for the pups to be weaned onto solids, she couldn't swallow any!! She would cry out and arch up in agony and regurgitate her food each time she tried to eat so a quick visit to the vet and a barium test diagnosed the problem... the vet said surgery at 3 weeks could be touch and go considering they had to slice through between 2 ribs and move a few organs out of the way to get to the esophagus area that was constricted and correct the vein. He said breeders usually just put the pup to sleep cos the surgery costs several thousand. But my breeders said she had a twinkle in her eye and a determination about her that they could just NOT put her down... after a painful and careful recovery with the breeder wife spending weeks sleeping on the floor with Shy in a crate and tending to her every need she recovered and when I picked her up at 8 weeks she had an almost entire shaved left side but was still uber cute Dang I wanted a party hat but didn't have one.. I just ran into my closet and grabbed at random.. heels and scarf LOL * ETA u can sorta see her shaved side in the last puppy pic where she's lying with the ball.. well u can see a bit of it anyway
  20. Happy birthday to my gorgeous dog Shyla!!!! My first ever dog all of my own and the best dog I could have ever dreamed off. To think she wouldn't even be here today if it wasn't for her breeders deciding to give her a fighting chance and paying for major surgery when she was 3 weeks of age and there was a chance it wouldn't be 100% success is amazing. She is such a lovely dog, and brings a smile to everyones face when they meet her I hope I have her around for many many MANY years to come!! Here she is today all dressed up with nowhere to go - And a few growth comparisons And some itty bitty baby photos of her NAWW...
  21. Cropped to a square, zebra butts at Werribee zoo Is that right?
  22. Yeah its interesting!! She will eat them eventually but if I go near the fridge (her bones are in the freezer) or near the cupboard (treats n stuff) she comes over to see if anything else is on offer LOL.
  23. So I have had Shyla on 70% raw for about 2 months now and you can sooo see she has a nicer coat, she used to have coarse fur, it is now soft and shiny and amazing! Anyway since having raw meaty bones for dinner every day and offal once or twice a week etc.. she doesn't seem interested in her cup of dry she gets for brekky every day (now swapped it to dinner instead and bones for brekky). I will put the bikkies down and she will sniff them and eat unexcitedly, and if I open the cupboard or fridge or walk off he will follow me and look at me and then have a stretch, dawdle, then go back and eat some more, go away, eat some more til they are all gone. But nowhere near as into them as she used to be. Give her bones from the freezer instead and WOAH her eyes light up. So I don't think she's sick or anything... is she just cottoned onto the fact that hey bones and raw meat are sooo much tastier??
