  1. Singing Happy Birthday :) We forgot to wear the party hats! lol Enjoying some Birthday cake & treats. I love the smile on her face as she waited for her presents. She was like a little kid, all excited. Lol. I couldn't find a sqwauky talkie in Aust. so had to order one from the UK. And I am glad I did. She loves it.
  2. My beautiful Takoda turned 2 yesterday! How time flies.... We took her to George's river for a bit of an outing and she loved it. She even got to enjoy an icecream with the kids off the icecream truck. :) We went for a good walk and sat in the sun for a while watching the birds and ducks. She also met a few new friends along the way when some little kids stopped to ask if they could pat her. Codes lapped up the attention (ofcoarse) and the kids just loved her. When we came home, we gave her her Birthday presents, sang her a Happy Birthday and gave her (and all the other doggies) some doggy Birthday cake & doggy treats. :) She was so worn out by the end of the day, she slept like a log last night. Her Birthday cake. I coated it in carob and decorated it with peanut butter buttons & bones coated in vanilla and strawberry yoghurt. The big husky biscuit and the bone at the front with her name on it, was also coated in strawberry yoghurt with carob. :) Doggy treat bags. Each had a doggy donut, a carob & yoghurt tart, a 4" peanut butter husky biscuit coated in strawberry yoghurt and sprinkles, aswell as some tuna, cheese & garlic bones, liver chip cookies and pizza paws. Me & my girl xx Enjoying a walk through the park. And an icecream with the kids. :) I did offer to hold it for her but she wanted to go and eat it with the kids.

  5. Try Natural Pet Australia. They're on ebay and FB. They sell them. I am not sure what they're like though as I've never bought them. (I've only bought yoghurt drops from them). They offer free postage too. :)
  6. They were saying on the channel 7 news that the dog weighed 57kgs and was used for pigging. They also mentioned that it was usually kept on a chain. That poor little boy stood no chance.

Going by the video footage I saw on the news there was no ambiguity about it! It was beyond disgusting She should get a prison sentence as far as I'm concerned, not just a fine, and should be banned from keeping animals for life. Those poor animals, I hope they have now gone onto better places I agree Crazycresties. That is absolutely disgusting. Those poor animals having to live in those conditions.
  18. A Ballarat man is being hailed a hero after performing an unusual rescue by giving a dog mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Steve Hunter was making a plaster delivery when Salty, a Fox Terrier Jack Russell cross, darted across the road and was hit by an oncoming car. Mr Hunter carried the stricken dog to the safety of a nature strip where he puckered up and performed 'mouth-to-snout' resuscitation in a bid to revive the animal. Speaking to the Ballarat Courier after the rescue, Mr Hunter said: "I gave him CPR, did the whole works. "I pulled his jaws apart - and by the way he didn't brush his teeth. "I pulled them apart, I got as close as I could and I was blowing air in his throat and with one hand giving him CPR on his ribcage. "I thought 'you've gotta give him half a chance', because you never know." Mr Hunter's efforts may have saved the lucky five-year-old mutt who came around and began breathing again. Salty was taken to a veterinary clinic with cuts to the head and a fractured pelvis, and is said to be recovering well. http://au.news.yahoo.com/vic/latest/a/-/newshome/17942282/man-gives-dog-mouth-to-snout-breath-of-life/ What an awesome guy!
