I'd keep an eye on him through the night and if still the same in the morning, or if he gets any worse during the night, I'd get him to the vet. My first thought reading your post, was 'pain' too. Could the bit of rabbit he had, got stuck some somewhere? Hope it's nothing serious and just an upset tummy or something.

Some Pics Taken At Central Gardens Today.
k9angel replied to k9angel's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
Bailey watching the Ibises again. He is fascinated by those birds and calls them and emu's dinosaur birds. One landing... -
I took the boys to Central gardens today over at Merrylands. Sadly, there isn't as many animals there are there used to be. They don't have all the parrots anymore, the wallabies are gone as have most of the kangaroos, and ducks. Even the pond is empty now. Once upon a time and not that long ago, it was full of ducks and fish and even had a pretty sprinkler thingy in the centre of it. Some of the cages read 'temporary closed due to renovations', so maybe they're just making a few changes. There were still a few emu's & kangaroos and smaller parrots there though. The kids always love feeding the emus. They're so friendly too. Oh and they don't hurt when they bite either. Many a time they've mistaken my hand for food. It's more of a shock then anything. Having said that though, I still wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of a wild one. This huge boy has been there for years and years. He is so old now, he can barely get up and spends most of his time sunbaking in the sun. He did get up, took a few slow hops then plonked himself down again. And down he goes... "You lookin' at me?" Jack feeds them... Little Bails is too busy looking at the Ibises. This poor cockatoo looked lost sitting near the emu enclosure. Same cocky. He flew up into the tree above us when I whistled and called to him.

What a lovely update!

I do this all the time. Having several dogs in care of varying ages/sizes it works out so much better for me money wise. I also buy it online to save even more $. How much does your puppy weigh? If 4kg or less - give 0.4ml 4-10kg - give 1ml 10-25kg - give 2.5ml I usually just pour it into a little measuring container or syringe it on.

Jessie Has Had Her Operation :)
k9angel replied to JessLovesGreyhounds's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
That's what I thought. I think it's great what you are doing for Jessie, Jess. I hope she goes on to live a long, happy and healthy life in her new home. She looks like a very sweet and deserving girl. She's lucky to have you on her side. And just a thought, have you considered running a raffle to help raise some funds? might be worth a try too. Wishing you & Jessie all the best and please keep us updated on her progress. :) -
She has a healthy set of choppers there T!

Now For The Waiting, I Hate Waiting

Great news! :cheer: -
Might be worth contacting the local paper and radio station too to see if they can run a story and warn people. That's just so sad. I seriously don't know how some people sleep at night... Is your friend absolutely sure her dogs didn't eat any?
-
She is. :) It was so funny about a week ago, she comes & wakes me early in the morning with a bit of vegemite sandwhich in her mouth that one of the boys must of left somewhere. Anyways, she nudges me to wake me up and then is just standing there with this vegemite sandwhich in her mouth. She gives me the cheekiest of looks before giving a big growl  then bolting off 100 mile an hour, waiting for me to run after her. Talk about cheeky!

Taken last night while the kids were sleeping and after the Easter bunny had been. And this morning. :) They all got a pig ear each and a handful of dog choc buds. :)(the dogs I mean, not the kids  ) Cody was so proud of hers, she paraded it for all to see daring us to chase her for it. Showing it off. She done several laps of the house, making sure she passed each of us each time. Love this pic, she is daring OH to chase her... Jasmine enjoying some Easter treats. :) Takoda showing off her pigs ear to Jasmine who has finished hers already and moved onto a beef bone. Me and my boys.

Concerns After Spaying Surgery
k9angel replied to Chikko Baby's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Doesn't sound normal to me either, especially the part with her being lethargic. She may have an infection or something. Is she eating ok? I'd definately be getting her checked out before Tuesday - better to be safe than sorry. -
Those eye's say I am cute, but cheeky. He's gorgeous Holly's Mum. Great save!

Ta Pers, he's growing up so fast. He is so proud of his tooth. And it was so sweet, with his tooth fairy money, he insisted on buying his kindy teacher an Easter egg. He got her a big red tulip bunny and a bag of gold lindt bunnies. He hasn't been able to go to school most of the last 2 weeks due to being sick but his rash is almost gone now (finally) so we went over to give them to her this afternoon. He made her a card too using rubber/ink stamps and decorated it with stickers and proudly wrote his own name at the bottom. She absolutely loved them and says to him "Did you write that?" pointing to his name. He proudly nodded and went all shy. As we were leaving he keeps asking me "When can I go back to school Mum, when can I go back?" he really misses it.

Princess giving Takoda what for. (she deliberately lures Takoda under this table to play) "Do you think they can see us here?" asks Takoda. "I don't know, but I do feel we are being watched", replies Princess looking concerned. And Jack showing off his new smile after losing his front tooth last week.
-
A few pics I took today of my girl Takoda, our rescue/foster Princess, Jasmine (a foster failure) and one of Jack with his missing tooth. They're nothing flash but thought I would share. :) Jaz loves a good roll in the grass. :) Takoda playing leap frog with Princess. Princess biting Takoda's leg. "Yeah c'mon then - come get me".

I am so sorry to hear your girl has cancer Amerykus.

wish I thought of that. I get deleted or ignored. I just saw this post "We still need to assist financially when dogs are fostered as rescue groups rely on donations too" & "By the way, please dont stop sending in offers of fosters! Some rescues are still able to help if we provide a carer!" Would that be right? Do they send money on? I doubt it. Most rescues vet their foster carers and do home checks etc, so surely pound rounds can forward a persons name on, but it would be up to the rescue to do the hard yards of following it up. I just cant believe peoples are putting money into these numpties accounts for being the middle man, using material and photographs already published by the pounds and then relying on the rescues to do the saves anyway. Where on earth does this money go? with over 8000 likes on facebook i'd say their bank account it sitting quite pretty and i'd question how much of it is spent on the dogs. None of my questions were answered, in fact all were deleted when I asked this. Speaking as an active rescuer, I cannot see why anyone would give money to a group such as this, if they do it's because they don't understand how things work quite obviously. Not surprising that your questions are getting deleted but why should they be? Complete transparency when you are collecting money - for any cause - is what is required. All questions, no matter how awkward, should be answered, not deleted. Something stinks. I'll say... The sad thing is there would be alot of people out there who want to help but cannot house or foster a dog themselves - so how else can they help? give $ ofcoarse. They don't know any better. These are the people PR are preying on. They're using these deathrow dogs to put on the guilt trip to rake in funds which IMO is just sick. I note the big red headlines on their facebook page tonight "CRISIS - save the dogs tonight". Do they do this before every pts? Oh and I read this which made me sad, I banked into your St George account $20 on Wednesday I wish it had a few more zeros but as I am an aged pensioner this is all I could afford, please put it towards saving/helping these beautiful babies, if you can't adopt or foster please give money to board them until they can find forever homes. Please God find them all loving forever homes where they will be cherished, AMEN! I bet they wish she had a few more zeros too. These are the kinds of people they are scamming. Another thing I noticed is that they are the contact if anyone is interested in adopting one of these dogs from the pound. What the?... Shouldn't they be referring interested parties to the pound direct? and what if a BYB breeder comes along.. most of these dogs are not even desexed. I saw a PB husky on there tonight... my heart just sunk.

Sage - Needing Some Advice
k9angel replied to Cheyd's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
R.I.P. beautiful Sage. xxx  -
I cannot believe they've been able to get away with it for this long... Although I rarely go on facebook I had to have a look. I see they are even a registered charity. Wtf? And what is it with calling the dogs jailbirds? that's just horrible... Also I am not familiar with the process of applying to be a registered charity, but surely there is someone they can be reported to. ??? That is just sick and disrespectful - using pound dogs to line their pockets like that... they outta be ashamed of themselves, big time. from their FB page calling for donations. The smallest amount (even $5) makes a huge difference to the chance of that little jailbird. Help save the life of a deathrow pooch today. Let us know which poochie you want to support and we will ensure that your contribution supports the rescue of that poochie. If they already have a rescue or someone at the last minute adopts or something - you can be sure another deathrow pooch could use the help too!:-) Sometimes the last ones on the list are only there by want of something as simple as a few days kennelling until a truck comes or a few weeks kenneling until a rescue can find them a foster- or transport costs interstate. Please feel free to use it anyway at all you wish - it will always be used to save a deathrow pooch - one that has no other chances and has run out of time. Kindness and support is the only thing that has ever saved our lonely, confused & cold jailbirds. Talk about putting the guilt trip on people. I can only imagine the $1000's they've raked in. ETA I also see on their chip-in page that they're trying to raise $4,000 by the 25th April. I cannot figure out what it's for - all it is says is - "Lots of dogs, lots of vet work - organized by pound rounds on facebook"???
